<![CDATA[Aviation Safety Management System (SMS) is mandatory for 5 flight operators, one of which is the airport as mandated by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO Doc 9859, 2019). Palembang Aviation Polytechnic as a work unit in charge of providing training in aviation, through community service activities, implementing Safety Management System Training for 25 participants with different work backgrounds from UPBU Gusti Syamsir Alam, Kotabaru Regency, South Kalimantan Province. This training is given using lecture methods, project-based learning and group presentations. The training provides increased understanding in the field of the Safety Management System with the result of obtaining a comprehensive exam with 84.96 as the average score. 36% of participants successfully passed with honors, and 64% with Good honors.]]>

<![CDATA[In realizing Airport Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) services at airport, it must be supported by competent and superior Human Resources (HR). Airport operators must ensure that all personnel employed at that airports receive adequate education and / or training to meet the airport personnel competency standards set by the Director General of Civil Aviation at PM 55 of 2015 concerning airports. To meet the requirements required by the regulation, Palembang Aviation Polytechnic as an organization engaged in education and training collaborates with the Batam Concession Agency in carrying out community service activities through ARFF recurrent basic training with 37 participants. The training aims to improve and refresh the skills and knowledge possessed by ARFF basic level personnel. All participants successfully passed with an average value of 81,10. Then, based on the results of the evaluation of the implementation of the training as well as a whole well.]]>

<![CDATA[The target and output of this activity are to implement the Tridharma of Higher Education, community service for lecturers in the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic environment, South Sumatra. The activity method used is 1) religious lectures, namely spiritual guidance to the Aviation Polytechnic extended family and local residents; 2) The lecture in which the resource person explained to the Aviation Polytechnic extended family and local residents about the wisdom of sacrificing and following the shari'ah of Prophet Ibrahim AS, fostering awareness and participation of the Aviation Polytechnic family and local residents in fostering a love for others in the manifestation of gratitude and piety Allah SWT; and 3) evidence-based learning, in which the "sacrifices" and the implementation team were invited to work together on how to collect, slaughter, and distribute sacrificial animals. The results obtained from this activity can make the implementation team, the Aviation Polytechnic extended family, and residents 1) follow the shari'ah of Prophet Ibrahim AS; 2) Growing awareness and participation of Muslims (lecturers) in fostering a love for others in the manifestation of taqwa to Allah SWT; 3) Serve the community in strengthening ties of friendship to establish ukuwah Islamiah among residents.]]>

<![CDATA[Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) is a part of the emergency response unit at the airport that has technical and operational standards set by the regulator. Given the importance of the role of ARFF in an airport, it is appropriate for ARFF unit to have competent personnel in their fields. This can be obtained through education and training organized by the Aviation Education Institute. One of the Basic ARFF training programs by Poltekbang Palembang overall went well and smoothly, with an average score of 83.46 (qualification: excellent) can be an indicator that the learning objectives have been achieved.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this community service activity is to provide education regarding efforts to prevent and overcome fire hazards at the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic to minimize the impact of losses caused by fires. The method used was technical guidance in the form of providing basic competence in early fire prevention by using 4 hours of classroom theoretical session and 4 hours of practical session in the field. Overall, this activity went well and smoothly, with the average satisfaction score of participants responses was categorized Very Good (A), indicated that the participants had a very positive response to prevent and control on fire hazard. ]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of the activity is that the trainees are capable to conduct airport rescue and fire fighter (ARFF) vehicle maintenance properly based on any related regulations and manuals The methods used are competency-based training, classroom session for theoretical learning process, and practical session with trainers and simulators for the fulfillment of ARFF personnel knowledge, skills, and attitudes. <![CDATA[Sistem proteksi kebakaran merupakan persyaratan teknis yang harus dipenuhi sebagai upaya pencegahan bahaya kebakaran pada suatu bangunan. Oleh karena itu, pendidikan dan pelatihan sistem proteksi kebakaran merupakan salah satu materi yang harus diambil dalam kurikulum di Program Studi PPKP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi kendala yang dihadapi oleh maha peserta didik Program Studi PPKP dalam metode pembelajaran jarak jauh. Perlu dikembangkan media pembelajaran praktis berbasis aplikasi android untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Research and Development dengan proses pengembangan menggunakan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation dan Evaluation). Tujuan penelitian berupaya mengembangkan dan menghasilkan aplikasi media pembelajaran praktis yang valid untuk dilaksanakan berdasarkan penilaian dosen dan maha peserta didik. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil validasi yang dilakukan diperoleh rata-rata persentase penilaian sebesar 83,85% dengan kategori valid. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi media pembelajaran mobile berbasis android ini valid untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran mata kuliah Pencegahan dan Proteksi Kebakaran di Program Studi PPKP.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to design and develop an Android-based learning media application for the Fire Fighting Equipment course at the Diploma Three PPKP Study Program, Palembang Aviation Polytechnic. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D). This stage of research is 1) Potential and problems; 2) Data collection, 3) Product design, 4) Design validation; 5) Design revisions; 6) Product trials; 7) Design revisions; 8). Usage trials; 9) Revision of the final design; 10) Mass products. User satisfaction questionnaires are used in product success analysis to determine user replies. Responders responded strongly to the response interval of 71-80 people (82.6% - 93%) of the 86 answers, a scale of 4 with the category Very Good (A). The expected benefit is that this learning media can be one of the tools in the lecture process at Palembang Aviation Polytechnic. <![CDATA[Abstract This Community Service activity was conducted as an output of carrying out the Tridharma of Higher Education for PSDT PPKP Lecturers at the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic by involving Cadets. This activity was performed in the form of technical guidance in the form of brief training in installing fire alarms and detection systems. The time allocation is 4 hours of lessons consisting of 1 JP of theory in class and 3 JP of practice (1 JP = 45 minutes). This Bimtek activity can be carried out well and the results are very satisfactory, based on all responders (100%) stating that they strongly agree with the implementation of PkM. Keywords: community service, technical guidance, fire alarm, and detection system Abstrak Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini dilakukan sebagai output pelaksanaan Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi bagi Dosen PPKP PSDT di Politeknik Penerbangan Palembang dengan mengikutsertakan Kadet. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam bentuk bimbingan teknis berupa pelatihan singkat pemasangan alarm kebakaran dan sistem deteksi. <![CDATA[This research was conducted to determine the availability and adequacy of the active protection system in the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic area. The Active Protection System is limited to fire alarm systems and detectors. The type of research used is qualitative analysis with an observational approach to analyze fire alarms and detection systems as active protection at the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic. Data collection is carried out by observation and interview. Furthermore, a gap analysis method is carried out to compare the availability of fire alarm and detection systems installed in each building, compared to the expected conditions by applicable regulations, so that gaps can be known from the fire protection system in the building in question. The next step is to decide on the availability and adequacy of the building's fire alarm and detection system and provide recommendations that the manager of the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic may carry out. The results of the application of the fire alarm analysis in the main building are 0% with the inappropriate category, and the average in the study program building is 96.57% with a good category. The implementation of the detection system in the main building is 0% with the inappropriate category (no fire alarm and detection system installed), and the average in the study program building is 97.5% with a good category. Suggestions according to the priority scale are that managers make policies on establishing, maintaining, inspecting, and evaluating active fire protection systems regularly.]]>
