Abstract

For the development of new, specific anti-HCV drugs, an understanding of the HCV life cycle in particular the genomic organization and polyprotein processing, is essential. It has resulted in the development of several agents that target specific stages of the life cycle, the so-called specifically targeted antiviral therapy for HCV (STAT-C) drugs. Potential processes for viral inhibition include virus entry into the host cell, proteolytic processing, RNA replication, and the assembly and release of the new virions. Among the most promising new agents in development are the protease and polymerase inhibitors, as discussed below. RNA-targeted therapies, such as antisense oligonucleotides, ribozymes and small interfering RNA (siRNA)-targeting structures, have shown substantial success at inhibiting the HCV life cycle in vitro, but not in vivo. The structural viral envelope proteins E1 and E2, as well as their assembly, represent other potentialantiviral targets. Analogous to a recently developed HIV cell fusion inhibitor, detailed understanding of HCV cell fusion and cell entry could permit the development of specific HCV entry inhibitors.Key Word : HCV, Antiviral, Target Specific

Abstract: Analysis of the community situation of Paddinging village, the majority of people work as farmers and only utilize the crops as a livelihood. People no longer have daily activities other than farming because it makes aromatherapy oil has a great opportunity that PKK mother can do even in the future if routine and organized can increase the income of village people. This Program can help increase the knowledge of residents to cultivate ginger and lemongrass into aromatherapy oils. Thus the purpose of this community devotion is to provide basic training on how to make aromatherapy oils. Implementation of a work program is done by approach method, discussion, training, and field practice. The steps of the program have been carried out and achieved the results as expected is the training and mentoring the making of aromatherapy-based oils ginger, lemongrass, cinnamon, and clove labeled "Aromatherapy oil Cap Paddinging" as medicine aches, relieves headaches, blood circulation even mosquito repellent.  Community empowerment in the manufacture of aromatherapy oil as a target group is done through the approach, discussion, training, and practice of the field making aromatherapy oil Cap Paddinging.

Abstract

Abstract

Cordia myxa L. is empirically used as an antidiabetic medication. The aim of this study is to determine the in-vivo effect of Cordia myxa L. n-hexane fraction on reducing blood sugar levels and their relationship with the anti-free-radical activity assay using DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-Picrylhydrazyl). The n-hexane fraction of Cordia myxa L. was used as a sample in the post-prandial assay which was analyzed using the ANOVA statistical test followed by Post-Hoc test. The results showed that there were significant in the extract using a 500 mg dose. In the anti-free-radical test using DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-Picrylhydrazyl) at maximum wavelength of 516 nm, 16.49 µg /mL IC50 value was obtained. For comparison, Quercetin with IC50 0.13 µg/mL was used. This shows that the sample has strong anti-free radical inhibitory potential ranged from 10 µg/mL to 50 µg/mL. The data from the calculation showed that there is a correlation between its effect of lowering high blood sugar level and anti-free radical activity

Abstract

Ambonese banana fruit peel has antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory activities. This search aims to investigate the potential of free radical scavengers based on the binding of DPPH free radicals (1,1-Diphenyl-2-picryl Hidrazil). Ambonese banana fruit peel was extracted by maceration using methanol. Free radical activity assay on sample measured by inhibition of DPPH using spectrophotometer UV-Vis at a wavelength at 516 nm. Identification by the TLC method showed that the peel extract of Ambonese banana was active as free radical scavengers where the DPPH solution changed in color from purple to yellow after being sprayed. The calculation results in IC50 values of each sample methanol extract of unripe Ambonese banana fruit peel is 11.78 µg/mL, while the methanol extract of the ripe Ambonese banana fruit peel is 151.56 µg/mL. The standard quercetin has IC50 values of 4.44 µg/mL. The result showed that the methanol extract from the Ambonese banana fruit peel (Musa acuminata Colla) has antioxidantactivity.

Abstract

The investigation focused on conducting an in silico screening of chemical compounds isolated from Syzygium oblanceolatum (C.B.Rob) to identify potential bioactive compounds that could act as inhibitors of α-Glucosidase. This screening involved tectoquinone as the potential inhibitor for α-Glucosidase and employed the Autodock Vina Docking process. The target enzyme, α-Glucosidase, was used as the receptor with 20 binding sites on the enzyme receptor 1LWJ and the Autodock Vina program was utilized for this purpose. The values of ∆Gbind and the lowest RMSD were determined for each of the 20 targeted binding sites on 1LWJ, representing the free energy change (∆G) resulting from the docking. The docking results demonstrated that the free energy change (∆G) for the 20 targeted binding sites ranged from -6.346 kcal/mol to -9.720 kcal/mol. The most favorable free energy change (∆G) was observed at the 16th binding site with a value of -9.720 kcal/mol, while the highest was recorded at the 18th binding site with a value of -6.346 kcal/mol.
