Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop web-based learning media to improve reading comprehension of dyslexic students. Dyslexia is a condition caused by neurobiological abnormalities that are characterized by difficulty in  recognizing words accurately in spelling and inability to encode symbols which lead to reading disorder. The research method used is research and development. This research develops web-based learning media called LexiRoom learning applications. The LexiRoom web was trialed to dyslexic students of the fourth grade of elementary school and obtained effective results to help students to have better comprehension of words and sentences within a paragraph.

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai pengaruh emotional coaching kepada guru untuk meningkatkan kemandirian emosi siswa tunalaras di SLB sekota Cimahi yang bertargetkan TKT tingkat dasar kedua yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh webinar emotional coaching kepada guru terhadap kemandirian emosi siswa tuna laras di SLB sekota Cimahi. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa desain one group pre and posttest design yang menggunakan satu kelompok subjek (kasus tunggal) serta melakukan pengukuran sebelum dan sesudah pemberian perlakukan perlakuan berupa emotional coaching. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 10 orang siswa tunalaras. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan teknik Mann Whitney U Test, diperoleh nilai Asymp Sig sebesar 0.159 yang berarti lebih besar dari nilai signifikansi α 0.05. Hal ini berarti Ha ditolak dan H0 diterima, yaitu tidak terdapat perbedaan kemandirian emosi peserta didik tunalaras sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan emotional choaching.

Abstract

AbstrakArtikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi programauthoritative parenting kepada orang tua di SD X kota Cimahi. Pelaksanaan program authoritatif parenting dalam rentang waktu September 2020 s/d Oktober 2020. Kegiatan program ini terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Tahap pelaksanaan dengan menggunakan teknik ceramah, diskusi, dan pendampingan serta tahap evaluasi. Berdasarkan hasil angket respon orang tua yang diberikan sebelum dan setelah diberikan program authoritative parenting menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan penggunaan authoritative parenting sebesar 57,3%. Sedangkan pada angket respon orang tua sebelum dan setelah diberikan materi mengenai perilaku distruptif pada anak menunjukkan adanya penurunan atau mereduksi perilaku distruptif pada anak sebesar 30%. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian ini cukup baik dan efektif. Abstract This article aims to describe the implementation of authoritative parenting training for parents at SD X of Cimahi. The authoritative parenting training held from September to October 2020. This training activity consists of three stages, namely the planning, implementation and evaluation stage. The implementation stage using lecture, discussion, and mentoring techniques. Based on questionnaire result on authoritative parenting given to parent before and after the training, it showed an increase in understanding and use of authoritative parenting by 57.3%. Whereas in the parents’ responses questionnaire on distracting behavior in children, it shows that there is a decrease or reduce distracting behavior in children by 30%. It can be concluded that authoritative parenting training given to parent is quite good and effective in reducing children disruptive behaviour.

Abstract

This article aims to explore aspects of the psychological well-being of Muslim students in Bandung during the Covid19 pandemic from the perspective of Islamic psychology. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The research participants consisted of 576 Muslim students in Bandung. Data were collected using a psychological well-being instrument developed by Ryff. The data analysis technique used is factor analysis. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that the dominant aspects of psychological well being were ranked, namely positive relations with others at 74.1%; second, purpose in life by 73.2%; third, self-acceptance of 71.5%; fourth, autonomy of 71.4%; fifth, environmental mastery of 70.1% and the sixth, personal growth of 69.8%.Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi aspek-aspek kesejahteraan psikologis pada mahasiswa muslim di kota Bandung selama pandemi Covid19. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari 576 mahasiswa beragama Islam di kota Bandung dan Cimahi. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen kesejahteraan psikologis yang dikembangkan oleh Ryff. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis faktor. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh peringkat aspek-aspek yang dominan terhadap psychological well being yaitu: Pertama positive relations with others sebesar 74.1%; Kedua, purpose in life sebesar 73.2%; Ketiga,  self-acceptance sebesar 71.5%; Keempat, autonomy sebesar 71.4%; Kelima, environmental mastery sebesar 70.1%; dan Keenam, personal growth sebesar 69.8%.

Abstract

The attitude of children towards school has a very large effect on the success or failure of children's education in school. A positive attitude towards school, teachers, and towards friends will be a great encouragement for children to have good relationships. In this research, the approach chosen is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were 5 students. The results showed that the implementation of group guidance services showed many changes, although not all of them. In general, this change is felt very well in the learning process in this class IX SMP.Keywords:  Motivation, Education to college

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the learning motivation of broken home students at SMPN 2 Kersamana. The approach used is a qualitative approach with the type of case study research. The subjects in this study were 2 students who experienced a broken home. Techniques in data collection are interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that broken home students were not only due to divorce but could also be due to lack of love from their parents, the death of one of our parents, so that it could have an impact on childhood, especially early adolescence, impacting their physical and psychological condition, including the academic development.Keywords:  Broken home, Learning Motivation

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine that students' positive learning attitudes and habits can have a strong motivation or interest in learning, good study habits, positive attitudes towards subject matter, intelligence, and not easily frustrated in the face of failure. Subjects in the study were 10 students who had low positive attitudes and learning habits. The data in this study were obtained through interviews and observations about students' positive attitudes. The approach used is a quantitative approach. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The conclusion in this study is that students who have positive attitudes and learning habits will show behavior in learning activities effectively and efficiently, both in planning learning activities and participating in learning activities, understanding and mastery of subject matter, and preparing to take tests or exams.Keywords: Positive Learning Attitude, students

Abstract

The purpose to be achieved in this study is to describe the prosocial behavior of students at SMP Negeri 1 Cimahi. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The subjects in this study were students of SMP Negeri 1 Cimahi. Subjects taken were 24 people. The data in this study were obtained through a closed questionnaire. The results illustrate that from the six aspects of prosocial behavior in general it can be described that the prosocial behavior of students of SMP Negeri 1 Cimahi is in the high category, especially in the aspects of helping, generosity and cooperation with a percentage of more than 48%.Keywords: Prosocial Behavior, Junior High School Students.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to examine whether there was a relationship between Truancy behavior and emotional maturity in VIII graders of Asshiddiqiyah Middle School. The research method used was a correlational quantitative research method with 52 research samples. The data analysis technique was carried out by the correlational test with the help of SPSS 22. Based on the results of the study through the correlational test, the product moment obtained produced a negative relationship between emotional associated with ditching VIII grade students of Asshiddiqiyah Middle School with marks (2 tailed) of 0,000 and r -0,583 . Higher grades mean higher maturity of students, so it is better for more choices than studentsKeywords: Emotional Maturity, Truancy Behavior.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis tingkat keterampilan metakognitif siswa (SMAN) 1 Margaasih Kabupaten Bandung Propinsi Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini merupakan studi deskriptif dengan melibatkan 356 siswa sebagai partisipan yang terdiri 160 siswa laki-laki dan 196 siswa perempuan dari kelas X, XI, dan XII. Data dijaring dari dua instrument penelitian yaitu formulir informasi pribadi (Personal Information Form) yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti untuk menjaring data yang berkaitan dengan tingkat kelas dan jenis kelamin serta Skala Keterampilan Metakognitif (Metacognitif Skills Scale) yang diadaptasi dari Tuncer and Kaysi (2013). Temuan penelitian menunjukan bahwa siswa memiliki keterampilan metakognitif yang tinggi yang terdiri dari tiga aspek yaitu keterampilan berpikir reflektif untuk menyelesaikan masalah, keterampilan membuat keputusan dan keterampilan membuat evaluasi alternatif. Hasil keterampilan metakognitif berdasarkan level kelas menunjukan bahwa keterampilan metakognitif siswa meningkat seiring dengan meningkatnya level kelas. Dari aspek gender, hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa siswa laki-laki dan siswa perempuan memeiliki tingkat keterampilan metakognitif yang relatif sama. This study aims to investigate the level of student’s metacognitive skills at Public Senior High School (SMAN) 1 Margaasih Bandung. This research is a descriptive study which involved 356 Senior High Students as participants consits of 160 male students and 196 female students. They are the 10th, 11th, and 12th graders. The data were collected from Personal Information Form to know the students’ grade and gender, and scale of metacognitive skills adapted from Tuncer and Kaysi (2013) to assess students’ metacognitive skills. The findings indicate that Senior High Students have high metacognitive skills which consist of three sub-dimensions namely reflective thinking skills to solve problems, skills to make decision and skill to make alteternative evaluation. In addition, the result of student’s metacognitive skills in term of class level indicate that the student’s metacognitive skills tend to increase as students get higher level. In term of gender, the result shows that both male and female students show no significant difference in their metacognitive skills.
