Abstract

Covid-19 virus still attacks various worldwide sectors, especially health. The current problem is that the Covid-19 vaccine is still in progress, so the best strategy to deal with this problem is to prevent this disease's spread. In the laboratory sector, complete blood cells tend to use as a screening method for disease, especially infectious disease. This study describes the CBCs findings among Covid-19 patients at Covid-19 reference hospitals in West Nusa Tenggara. This study will enhance the data to provide early diagnosis for patients with Covid-19. This was a retrospective study conducted from Mei to July 2020. A total of four hospitals have access to 85 medical records of Covid-19 patients. The patient’s data included in this study should have (1) initials; (2) Gender; (3) Age; (4) Patients' disease other than Covid-19; and (5) The results of the first CBCs examination. Incomplete data excluded from the study. The CBCs data collected from Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS) and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS). The data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that 5.88% of patients with comorbidities or another disease reported abnormal CBCs results. In comparison, another 94.12% of patients without another disease than Covid-19 tend to present normal results. In conclusion, most of the CBC's findings among Covid-19 patients in West Nusa Tenggara show normal value among patients with no disease other than Covid-19.

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Vitamin C adalah vitamin larut air, suplemen multivitamin antioksidan tinggi yang berfungsi melawan radikal bebas serta meregenerasi antioksidan lainnya. Tingginya radikal bebas berpengaruh terhadap fungsi endotel yang mengakibatkan terjadinya resistensi insulin dan berpengaruh terhadap jumlah glukosa darah. Tujuan : Mengetahui rerata kadar glukosa darah puasa, rerata kadar glukosa darah sewaktu setelah diberikan beban glukosa 75 g, glukosa darah sewaktu setelah pemberian konsumsi vitamin C dan mengetahui adanya pengaruh konsumsi suplemen vitamin C terhadap kadar glukosa darah mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Islam Al - Azhar Mataram Tahun 2018. Metode Penelitian : Penelitian menggunakan metode pre-eksperimental dengan rancangan one grup pretest posttest design. Populasi adalah semua mahasiswa preklinik dengan sampel berjumlah 33 responden yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Teknik sampling menggunakan purposive sampling dengan uji statistik uji-t berpasangan. Hasil : Rerata glukosa darah puasa 85,18 mg/dL, glukosa darah sewaktu setelah diberikan beban glukosa 75 g 143,76 mg/dL, dan glukosa darah sewaktu setelah konsumsi vitamin C 110,94 mg/dL. Hasil uji-t berpasangan diperoleh p-value = 0,000 (p- value ≤ α=0,01) dengan IK sebesar 19.210-46.426 mg/dL. Kesimpulan : Dari hasil uji t-berpasangan yang berarti terdapat pengaruh konsumsi suplement vitamin C terhadap kadar glukosa darah pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Islam Al-Azhar Mataram Tahun 2018.

Abstract

Drinking water is water that meets quality of health. The requirements include microbiology, chemistry, physics and radioactivity aspects.The high public interest in the consumption of bottled water and high prices of bottled drinking water encourage. However, the growth of refill drinking water (AMIU), licensing, training, supervision and circulation can not be done properly, which affect the poor drinking water quality assurance that could potentially cause harm to health.The study was a analytical descriptive study with cross sectional. This study showed 7 (15.6%) of 45 refilled drinking water were contaminated with E.coli. The factors that were not related with E.coli contamination were raw water (p = 0.181> 0.05), the disinfectant (p = 0.368) and sanitary facilities (p=0.771). However, it was related with sanitary location (p=0.000).Factors associated with E.coli contamination in drinking water refilled depot in Denpasar city.

Abstract

daun buni (Atidesma bunius) adalah Salah satu tumbuhan yang bermanfaat untuk pengobatan tradisioal. Penelitian ini dilakukan Untuk mengetahui daya hambat ekstrak etanol daun buni (Antidesma bunius) terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Salmonella typi dengan metode eksperimen murni. Pada. Dimana perlakuan yang diberikan adalah penambahan ekstrak etanol 70% dengan konsentrasi 5%, 10%, 20%, 40% kemudian dibandingkan dengan klorampenikol sebagai kontrol positif dan aquadest sebagai kontrol negative. Ekstrak etanol 70% daun buni (Antisdema bunius L) dengan konsentrasi (5%=13mm), (10%=14mm), (20%=15mm) dan (40%=17mm). dengan nilai statistik (5%=12,75), (10%=14,25), (20%=14,75), (40%=17,25), memiliki daya hambat terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Salmonella typhi dengan jumlah rata-rata 15 mm, Sehingga ekstrak daun buni (Antisdema bunius L) memiliki perbedaan daya hambat yang dapat dilihat dari jumlah nilai rata-rata sebanyak 15 mm.

Abstract

Sate bulayak merupakan makanan khas tradisional Lombok terbuat dari daging dilumuri bumbu khas dan disajikan bersama lontong yang dilapisi daun kelapa muda atau nira. Sate ini di jual di daerah wisata mataram dan sangat digemari oleh pengunjung. Higiene sanitasi pengolahan pada sate sangat penting dijaga supaya bebas dari bakteri pencemar seperti E.coli. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat tentang hygiene sanitasi pengolahan makananan terutama pedagang tradisional sate bulayak di daerah wisata seperti Pantai Ampenan, Pantai Gading dan Taman Udayana. Metode yang digunakan yaitu survey lokasi, pemberian kuesioner untuk melihat sejauh mana pengetahuan dan aplikasi higiene sanitasi pada pedagang dan pendampingan pedagang melalui media booklet dan x-banner serta pemberian lock and lock untuk di manafaatkan dalam menyimpan bumbu sate. Distribusi Pedagang sate bulayak di daerah wisata Pantai Ampenan, Pantai Gading dan Taman Udayana di dominasi oleh perempuan (80%) dengan rentan usia paruh baya (40%) dan pra pensiun (30%). dari tingkat pendidikan kebanyakan SMP (50%), SMA (30%) dan tidak bersekolah (20%). Pengelolaan higiene sanitasi pada pedagang sate bulayak masih rendah dimana masih banyak yang belum menggunakan alat bantu untuk pengolahan makanan, memakai celemek, tutup kepala, dan rata-rata pedagang yang dijadikan sampel dalam pengabdian tidak memiliki sertifikat kesehatan. Dari hasil pendampingan melalui media, pedagang terlihat masih banyak yang belum faham terkait higiene sanitasi pengelolaan makanan sehingga perlu menjadi perhatian lebih bagi pemerintah daerah untuk melakukan pendampingan secara rutin terhadap pedagang tradisional di daerah wisata lombok.

Abstract

Air minum isi ulang adalah air minum yang sudah melalui proses disinfeksi seperti UV, Ozon, RO dan UV +RO yang memenuhi persyaratan pemerintah. Hadirnya depot air minum isi ulang menjadi solusi bagi masyarakat yang tidak mampu membeli air minum dalam kemasan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kualitas air minum isi ulang yang ada pada depot air minum isi ulang di Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah Eksperimental Laboratory. Menggunakan sampel sebanyak 50 depot air minum isi ulang di kabupaten Lombok barat yang tersebar di 10 kecamatan. pemeriksaan yang digunakan adalah Pewarnaan Gram, Uji IMVIC dan gula-gula. Dari 50 sampel yang digunakan didapatkan bakteri jenis E. coli sebanyak 3, Serratia sebanyak 6, Bacillus sebanyak 4, Proteus sebanyak 13, Klebsiella sebanyak 1, Pseudomonas sebanyak 11, Aeromonas sebanyak 9, Morganella sebanyak 1, Providencia sebanyak 1. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa air minum isi ulang di kabupaten Lombok barat tercemar Escherichia coli dan bakteri coliform karena masih terdapat bakteri baik bakteri yang sifatnya pathogen maupun bakteri non pathogen.

Abstract

Background: Diarrhea is a condition where bowel movements are soft or liquid, in the form of water, more frequently (usually three times or more) in one day. Poor personal hygiene behavior can make a person susceptible to diseases such as diarrhea, this condition contributes to the high incidence of diarrhea in Indonesia. Improper hand washing behavior is still high found in children aged 10 years and over above about 67.4%.This shows that the lack of knowledge about hand hygiene, the condition of hands that are not clean, contaminated food, resulting in infection (bacteria, viruses, parasites), malabsorption, food poisoning and behavior of unhygienic snacks. Research purposes: To find out the relationship between the school environment and the level of knowledge about how to wash hands of SD students in grades IVVI on the incidence of diarrhea at SDN 10 Taliwang Research methods: Observational analytic research with cross sectional research design. The sampling technique used starified random sampling. The research was conducted at SDN 10 Taliwang in August-September 2022. The research sample was 70 respondents. The data obtained were analyzed by Chi Square test. The significance value limit is (p≤0.05). Research result : The study showed that of the 70 respondents, students who did not experience diarrhea with a healthy environment were 58 respondents (82.9%). The results of the bivariate analysis show that the valuep-values< 0.05 (p-values= 0.00). PR values obtained in this study PR > 1 (PR + 3.00) (95% CI = 1.35 - 6.68). Based on the variable level of knowledge of hand washing, from 70 respondents, it was found that students who did not experience diarrhea with a good level of knowledge were 54 respondents (77.1%). The results of the bivariate analysis show that the valuep-values< 0.05 (p-values= 0.00). The description of the observation results obtained 60 respondents (85.7%) who carried out appropriate hand washing actions based on the Indonesian Ministry of Health. Conclusion : There is a significant relationship between the school environment and the level of knowledge about how to wash hands of SD students in grades IVVI on the incidence of diarrhea at SDN 10 Taliwang.

Abstract

Cervical cancer is a malignancy of cells that occurs in the cervix. In 2015, in NTB there were 8,020 people who had cervical cancer and in 2016 it had increased to 14,431 people. Hormonal contraception is a risk factor for cervical cancer. This study aims to determine the relationship between the use of hormonal contraception and VIA examination results at the Meninting Public Health Center. Cross Sectional research design with medical record measurement tools. A total of 59 research samples were carried out using a purposive sample sampling technique in patients who underwent IVA examinations at the puskesmas, stating that from June 2021 - November 2022 data. Bivariate analysis test using the Chi Square correlation test. The results showed that 30 samples had positive IVA and 29 samples had negative IVA results. Obtained a p-value of 0.011 (p-value,0.05) for the use of contraceptive pills with IVA examination results, a P-value of 0.000 (p-value 0.05) for the use of injecting contraceptives with IVA examination results and a p-value of 0.030 (p- value, 0.05) for the use of implant contraception with IVA examination results. There is a significant relationship between the use of hormonal contraception and the results of visual inspection of acetic acid (IVA) at the Meninting Health Center.

Abstract

Soursop plant (Annona muricata Linn) is a type of traditional medicinal plant. Soursop plants are widely studied because the content of fruit and leaves can provide many benefits for society. Many people use parts of the soursop plant to cure various diseases such as diarrhea caused by Escherichia coli bacteria. Soursop leaf extract (Annona muricata Linn) is known to contain flavonoids, alkaloids, and saponins, tannins, acetogenins which can inhibit bacterial growth. The purpose of this study was to determine the inhibition of soursop leaf extract (Annona muricata Linn) towards against the growth of Escherichia coli bacteria. This research was conducted in the Research laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine of Al-Azhar Islamic University using the method of extrasion (maceration) with ethanol solvent. The design used in this study was a Complete Randomized Design (RAL) with 4 treatment groups and 2 controls (positive ciprofloxacin and negative aqudest). The sample data obtained was then analyzed using SPSS version 23. The results of this study obtained the diameter of the inhibitory zone in 4 treatment groups. The largest inhibitory zone dimater is 10,25 mm at a concentration of 100%, and the lowest inhibitory power is 2 mm at a concentrationof 25%. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, a significant difference was obtained between the treatment groups with a value (p<0.05). Soursop leaf extract (Annona muricata Linn) has an inhibitory power against the growth of Escherichia coli bacteria.
