Abstract

Self-medication is an individual's effort to recognize symptoms or diseases and can choose drugs to cure that. The use of traditional medicine has been used by the community in curing minor ailments. This study was conducted in order to see an overview of the use of traditional medicine for self-medication in the Badang Village area, RW 03. This research is a descriptive and qualitative non-experimental research that has been tested for content validity. Sampling was done by purposive random sampling with inclusion criteria, namely age 17-60 years old, had experienced self-medication using traditional medicine. The results showed that the traditional medicines used by the Badang community for self-medication were Jamu, OHT, and Fitofarmaka. In addition, there are ways to use traditional medicines that can be drunk directly and processed first, such as boiled, grated, and brewed. Then the types of diseases that can be treated using traditional medicine to treat minor ailments such as colds, fever, coughs and colds, and diarrhea.

Abstract

Prescription screening is a pharmaceutical service in pharmacies. A prescription is a doctor's written request to the pharmacist to provide drugs for the patient on the prescription. The study aims to determine the suitability of drug prescribing from administrative, pharmaceutical, and clinical aspects at pharmacy A in Surakarta during January - December 2021. The sampling method is retrospective, namely research based on data from pharmacy prescription archives. Data analysis is shown the percentage of the completeness of the recipe components in January - December 2021 with 100 samples. Data analysis used Microsoft Excel 2013 by entering the data obtained. The results of administrative analysis prescriptions did not meet the requirements in the doctor's SIP (23%), doctor's name (4%), doctor's initials (2%), patient's weight (95%), address (7%), age (4 %), while the aspects fulfilled (100%) the patient's name, gender, practice address and date of the prescription. The pharmaceutical analysis did not meet the requirements, namely the writing of the dosage strength (8%), while the name of the drug, dosage form, amount of drug, and directions meet the requirements (100%). Clinical analysis of drug dose adjustment (1%) and drug interactions (7%) with interactions are pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic interactions. The conclusion is there are still errors in prescribing (medication errors) in the administrative, pharmaceutical, and clinical aspects but most of the prescribing errors occur in the administrative aspects of the prescription.

Abstract

Hypertension is known as a cardiovascular disease related to blood pressure and an unbalanced lifestyle. The incidence of hypertension in Indonesia is increasing. The goal of treating hypertension is to reduce mortality and morbidity. Pharmacological therapy that patients get can be in the form of a single antihypertensive drug or a combination of drugs. The purpose of this study was to look at the pattern of antihypertensive drug use at the Boyolali 1 Health Center. The method used was a retrospective descriptive method by looking at the patient's medical records for the period January-June 2022. Data obtained was then analyzed descriptively using percentages. Medical record data taken were 102 medical records. The results showed that the majority of hypertensive patients were women 66.67%, aged 46-55 35.29%, patients without comorbidities 82.35% and patients with stage 1 hypertension 73.53%. Regarding the pattern of use of hypertension drugs used, namely single drug therapy 66.67% with the highest use, namely amlodipine. While the most widely used combination drug was a combination of amlodipine and captopril 17.65%. The use of antihypertensive drugs is influenced by the clinical condition of each patient.
