Abstract

Choking can result in death if handled inappropriately. The accuracy of handling is based on sufficient knowledge. Lack of knowledge for mothers who have toddlers in handling choking results in mothers under five still wrongly handling choking. To find out the effect of providing education using audio visual (video) to housewives on the knowledge of toddler choking handling, to find out differences in maternal knowledge before and after it is done education using audio visual (video). This study used a pre-experimental design technique with a one group pre-test-post-test design approach. Data collection using a questionnaire and data analysis using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that the average value of knowledge obtained by 69 respondents before being given audio-visual education (video) was 15.06, with a minimum value of 6 to a maximum of 19, and after being given audio-visual education (video) was 18.00, with a minimum value. 12 maximum 21. The results of bivariate analysis using the Wilcoxon test obtained p value 0.000. In conclusion, there is an effect of providing education using audio visual (video) to housewives on the knowledge of choking handling for toddlers in Pajerukan. It needs to be developed by adding variables and using different research designs and using qualitative research types. Keywords: Audio Visual Education (Video), Knowledge, Handling Choking

Abstract

Background: Emergency is a clinical condition of patients who need immediate medical treatment. Response time is the alacrity in treating the patients done by health workers from patients' arrival at the hospital to patients treatment. Response time with standardized treatment alacrity can be a good process of service so the patients will be satisfied.Aim: To find out the correlation between the response time of Emergency Department service and patients' satisfaction level in Wijayakusuma Hospital of Purwokerto.Method: This research used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional observational design. The 94 samples were taken using a purposive sampling technique. The data were collected using a questionnaire and response time observation sheets and analyzed using the Sommersd test.Results: The results from the response time of Emergency Department service of Wijayakusuma Hospital of Purwokerto were fast (81.9%) and slow (18.1%).The patients' satisfaction level showed very satisfied (81.9%), satisfied (6.4%), and not satisfied (11.7%) toward the Emergency Department service. The analysis results between response time and satisfaction level using the Sommersd test showed sig value was 0.001 (p 0.05) and the coefficient correlation value was 0.654 which meant there was a correlation between the response time of the Emergency Department service and patients' satisfaction level with strong correlation power.Conclusion: There was a correlation between the response time of Emergency Department service and patients' satisfaction level with strong correlation power.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKeywords:Cigarette Consumption, Teenage Students Nutrition StatusObjective: to know the effectof health education and simulation of handling ankle strain.Method: This was a quantitative research with a pre-experimental design and one group pre-test-post-test approach. The population and sample in this study amounted to 37 respondents who were taken using an accidental sampling technique.Results: The average score of knowledge obtained from 37 respondents before given health education was 8.97 and it became 15.03 after the health education was done. The average score of the skills before and after doing the simulation was 4.97 and 8.97 respectively. Wilcoxon test results on the knowledge variable indicated that Z value 5,331 and p value = 0.001, while that on the skill variable showed that Z value 5,391 and p value = 0,000. There are differences in respondent's knowledge and skills before and after health education and simulation.Conclusion: There is an effect of health education and the simulation of first aid on the knowledge and skills of Taekwondo members

Abstract

Keracunan makanan merupakan sakit yang disebabkan oleh mengkonsumsi makanan yang diduga mengandung cemaran biologis atau kimia. Penyakit akibat keracunan makanan turut meningkatkan angka morbiditas dan mortalitas seluruh dunia. Pengetahuan terhadap pertolongan pertama keracunan makanan merupakan hal yang penting untuk mengurangi efek negatif keracunan makanan . Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan pertolongan pertama pada keracunan makanan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan accidental sampling dan pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner pengetahuan keracunan makanan berjumlah 14 soal. Analisis data menggunakan analisis univariat. Dari 79 responden penelitian, nilai rata-rata pengetahuan responden adalah 8,78, dengan nilai minimal 5 dan nilai maksimal 14. Hasil yang didapatkan bahwa mayoritas responden mengetahui definisi keracunan, tanda dan gejala keracunan, dan penatalaksanaan keracunan

Abstract

Cardiac Arrest adalah kondisi dimana hilangnya fungsi jantung secara tiba-tiba untuk memompa darah keseluruh tubuh. Resusitasi Jantung Paru (RJP) terbukti dapat mengembalikan fungsi jantung dan dapat memompa darah ke seluruh tubuh. Upaya untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang BHD salah satunya melalui pendidikan dan pelatihan dengan metode audiovisual yaitu metode pembelajaran yang tidak monoton dengan menampilkan video ilustrasi kasus dan langkah-langkah tindakan BHD sehingga tidak menimbulkan rasa bosan dan dapat menambah minat untuk mengikuti pembelajaran tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran dengan metode audiovisual tentang BHD terhadap pengetahuan anggota PMR Bharaku SMK Negeri 1 Kutasari. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kuantitatif pre-experiment dengan menggunakan rancangan penelitian berupa one group pretest-posttest design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 56 responden dengan teknik simple random sampling. Terjadi peningkatan sebanyak 52 responden dari 32 responden, memiliki pengetahuan yang baik setelah diberikan pembelajaran audiovisual. Diperoleh p-value Pretest (0,000) dan Post-Test (0,000) sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa data yang diperoleh tidak terdistribusi normal, karena p-value < 0,05. Sehingga uji yang digunakan adalah uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank diperoleh p-value 0,000 (<0,05) yang artinya Ha diterima. Terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran dengan metode audiovisual tentang BHD terhadap pengetahuan anggota PMR Bharaku SMK Negeri 1 Kutasari.

Abstract

Since March 2020, Indonesian has become one of  the countries on the list of the spread of the Covid-19 virus pandemic. This has an impact on the education sector. Elementary school age children are one of the age groups that are vulnerable to the Covid-19 virus and Indonesia in of the countries with the highest child Covid-19 death rate in the world. The year 2022 is known as the normal area. The Ministry of Education and Culture gives regional authority to hold limited face-to-face meetings while continuing to carry out health protocols. One of health protocols implemented is wearing a mask. Health education that is often done is wearing the right mask, but for education what do and don’t while wearing mask, removing the mask and disposing of the mask properly is still rarely done. The use of masks and proper treatment of mask contribute to breaking the chain of the spread of the Covid-19 Virus. This activity aims to provide education on the importance of mask management, mask removal, and mask disposal. The method used is counseling and joint simulation. Abstract

Burns rank sixth as the cause of accidental injuries. It can cause disability and death if it is not handled in the correct ways. Appropriate handling is based on adequate knowledge and skills. Lack of knowledge in carrying out the first aid made the cadres cannot take care of burns well. This research aimed to find out the effect of health education and simulation on the health cadres' knowledge and first aid skills of burns in Ketenger Village. This was pre-experimental quantitative research with One Group Pre and Post-test Design. The population in this study were all cadres of Ketenger Village. The sample was taken using an accidental sampling method. The number of samples was 30 people. The research data were collected using questionnaires and observation sheets. Then the data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results of the research indicated that before and after the health education was given the average value of the cadres' knowledge was 11.83 and 15.57 respectively. Then, before and after the simulation, the average value of cadres skills was 2.83 and 8.63 respectively. Based on the bivariate analysis using the Wilcoxon test, the p-value of both knowledge and skills was 0,000 < 0,05. Health education and simulation have an effect on the cadres' knowledge and skills in the first aid of burns.

Abstract

Mountain climbing is an interesting and challenging activity, but it has high risks. There is a risk of harm that threat the body and safety during mountain climbing. One of the risks that can occur in mountain climbing is hypothermia which should be treated quickly and appropriately otherwise it can be life-threatening. From the results of preliminary studies that have been conducted by researchers at the Mount Prau Basecamp. According to the Gunung Prau Basecamp guard in 2017 there were 4 cases of hypothermia per week, even in 2014 there was 1 case of a climber who died due to hypothermia. This case occurred because of the climber's lack of knowledge of doing first aid to victims who had hypothermia.  In this case, the climber's knowledge and attitude about prevention and first aid when experiencing hypothermia are the most important factors.The aim of this study was to determine the correlation between climber's knowledge and hypothermia first aid attitudes on the mountain.The type of this research was quantitative research with the correlation study method and a cross-section approach. The population in this study were all climbers of Mount Prau Wonosobo with a sample of 333 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study was consecutive sampling. The data in this study were analyzed using the chi square statistical test.The results of this study were obtained from 333 respondents, 301 respondents (90.4%) had good knowledge and 297 respondents (89.2%) had good attitudes. Statistical analysis showed significant results with a p-value (0.0001) less than 0.05, thus H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, which indicated that there was a relationship between the climber's knowledge and hypothermia first aid attitudes on the mountain. In conclusion Knowledge affects a person's attitude towards handling hypothermia. On condition that the knowledge is good, ensuingly the attitude in handling hypothermia will be good.

Abstract

Poisoning is an emergency caused by the entry of a harmful substance or food into the body in various ways.This research aimed to figure out the effect of health education about the first aid for food poisoning on the knowledge and attitude of students at SD N 1 Kutasari. This was pre-experimental quantitative research using a one group pretest-posttest research design. Based on the Wilcoxon test results, the significance value was 0.001 (p0.05), while based on the Paired T-test results was 0.000 (p0.05). There is an effect of health education on the knowledge and attitude of students for the first aid for food poisoning at SD N 1 Kutasari

Abstract

Fever is when the body temperature rises by 38 celcius degree. Fever in children is one of the reasons parents seek medical help to treat it. Fever management is very important to reduce the negative impact caused by fever. The aims of this studi was to determine the description of parental knowledge in first aid for fever emergencies in children. This research was a descriptive study and using cross sectional approach. Sampling was done by accidental sampling and data collection using a knowledge questionnaire of fever management with 16 questions. It was analysed by univariate analysis. Out of 20 respondent, the average value of the respondent’s knowledge was 12,25, with minimum score of 8 and maximum value of 16. The result of this research shows that all respondents would measure a chlid’s temperature using a thermometer when he had a fever, take his child to seek medical help when he was sick, and do a compress with warm water on a child who has fever.
