Abstract

Mikroteaching is a compulsory course that must be addressed by biology education students in the curriculum of KKNI. This course is followed by students of semester VII. In the implementation of microteaching, students will be taught first how to develop RPP (learning implementation plan) and material about basic skill of teaching teacher. This teacher's basic teaching skill consists of: open learning skills, closing lesson skills, material explaining skills, strengthening skills, small and large group coaching skills, classroom management skills, variation in learning, and questioning skills. The method in this research is direct observation by observing the students who practice teaching in front of the class which is analyzed by quantitative descriptive method. Its population is 61 people and sample 23 people. Based on the result of the research, it is found that the average of basic skill of good teacher teaching.

Abstract

Based on observations made by researchers found that learning in class VIII SMPN 10 Merangin there are students who pay less attention to the material delivered by the teacher, disturbing friends and busy talking with the theme, learning also feels monotonous because teachers still use the lecture method in the teaching and learning process. This has an impact on the results of the Integrated Science test in the last semester and the average of all classes does not reach the Minimum Mastery Criteria value of 75, therefore through this study the researcher wants to know the effect of the Cooperative Script learning model on students' Integrated Science learning outcomes class VIII SMPN 10 Merangin on straight motion material. In this study, researchers used experimental quantitative research because researchers wanted to find out the effect of Cooperative Script learning models on the learning outcomes of Integrated Science students in grade VIII of SMP Negeri 10 Merangin. The population in this study were all students of class VIII of SMPN 10 Merangin consisting of seven classes, from classes VIII A, VIII B, VIII C, VIII D, VIII E, VIII F, and VIII G, totaling 208 students. In determining the sample, the researcher first tests the normality and homogeneity tests of the population. Then from the population data obtained 21 combinations, then the draw was made so that a pair of combinations was chosen, namely DG which means class VIII D as the control class and class VIIIG as the experimental class. Data collection techniques are done using tests. To analyze the test items, researchers used validity tests, distinguishing features, difficulty indexes, and reliability tests. Based on the analysis of this data obtained from the t test where sig of 0.63 where> 0.05. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the Cooperative Script learning model on the Integrated Science learning outcomes of Grade VIII students of SMPN 10 Merangin.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of teaching materials used and the lack of attractive teaching materials used and not yet combined with attractive colors. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to develop supporting teaching materials, namely in the form of learning modules equipped with scaffolding on environmental pollution material. This study aims to describe the process of developing an Integrated Science learning module equipped with Scaffolding on environmental pollution material for grade VII SMP / MTS students, to produce an Integrated Science module equipped with Scaffolding on environmental pollution material for class VII SMP / MTS which is valid and practical. This type of research is a type of development research that uses a 4-D model which includes the stages of define (define), Design (Design), Develop (Development) and Desseminate (deployment). The subject of this study consisted of 6 validators. For practicality it was carried out by 2 teachers 31 students of class VII SMP / MTS. Sources of data from the results of this study are the results of the validity and practicality of the learning module, then this data is analyzed by descriptive analysis. Based on the results of this study, a product in the form of an integrated science learning module equipped with valid and practical scaffolding was produced. The resulting learning module was declared very valid by the validator both from the aspects of the feasibility of content, language, presentation and graphics with an achievement of a value of 96%. The resulting learning module was also stated to be very practical by the teacher both in terms of ease of use, learning time and aspects of attractiveness with an average score of 3.78. Based on the data analysis obtained, it can be concluded that the Integrated Science learning module which is equipped with Scaffolding on environmental pollution material for grade VII SMP / MTS students has been declared very valid and very practical.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the unavailability of interesting learning media. So far, teachers only use textbooks and worksheets, so researchers want to develop comics as a support for integrated science teaching and learning activities at SMP Negeri 42 Merangin. This study aims to describe the process of developing comics on the material of the interaction of living things with the environment and to find out which comics on the material of interactions of living things with the environment are valid and practical. This type of research is a development research that uses a 4-D model which includes the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The subject of this research is the Integrated Science teacher at SMP Negeri 42 Merangin. Based on the results of the research, a product in the form of learning comics was produced. The resulting learning comics were declared very valid by the validator from the aspect of the feasibility of content, language, presentation, and graphics with a validity value of 91.5%. The resulting learning comics were also stated to be very practical by the teacher both in terms of ease of use, learning time, and attractiveness with a score of 3.7. So it can be concluded that the learning comics on the interaction of living things with the environment for class VII SMP/MTs have been declared valid and practical.

Abstract

The practice of microteaching aims to improve students' abilities as prospective teachers in conducting teaching simulations in the classroom. This study aims to improve the skills of explaining material by students who carry out teaching simulations. This type of research is classroom action which consists of planning, implementing, observing and evaluating activities along with reflection. The research was conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle was carried out 2 times of teaching simulations. Data were analyzed qualitatively. The research subjects are students of biology education study program who teach microteaching courses. Based on the research that has been done, it was found that the increase in the ability to explain the material by students in cycle 1 was 71%, while in cycle 2 it was 81.5% with a percentage increase of 10.5%. From the data obtained, it can be concluded that this research can improve the ability of students to explain material skills in microteaching courses.

Abstract

‘Limau kacang’ has been a specialty crop in the Solok region of West Sumatra. The spread of Citrus reticulata Blanco is still experiencing barriers and the population is threatened with extintion. Overcome the problem is done propagation of Citrus reticulata Blanco vegetatively with shoot cutting. The experiment on the influence of different growing media and hormonal growth of coconut water to the shoot cutting of Citrus reticulata Blanco has been accomplished at kanagarian Kacang Kecamatan X Koto Singkarak, Kabupaten Solok, this experiment started in June to October 2017. This research used Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) Factorial. The first factor was four different growing media (soil, soil : manure, soil : husk, soil : sand) while the second factor was two level coconut water concentrations (0% and 25%) with three replication. Variables analiyzed were the survival percentage, while emerging shoots, shoot length, number of leaf, number of shoot, number of root and root length. The result of this research showed that A3B0 treatment (planting media soil : manure without coconut water as hormonal growth) gave the best influence to the growth of shoot cuttings of Citrus reticulata Blanco.

Abstract

This study aims to describe developing a textbook for the Pengembangan Bahan Ajar subject and produce a valid textbook. The method used is development research using a 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate) with instruments in the form of a validity questionnaire in terms of the feasibility of content, language, graphics and presentation. The resulting product is a textbook. The results showed that the developed textbooks scored 84% with a valid category. In conclusion, the developed textbooks are valid and suitable to be used as a guide for students in Pengembangan Bahan Ajar subject. Abstract

This research is motivated by the interaction of learning in the classroom that takes place in one direction, so that students take for granted the information provided by the teacher. Student responses to learning tend to be low. During the learning process, student participation only records and listens to the teacher's explanation. This has an impact on learning outcomes. This is evidenced from the UAS learning outcomes of class XI students of SMAN 2 Merangin, which are still low and have not yet reached KKM 75. Therefore this study aims to describe the results of learning biology with the type of cooperative learning model Take and Give better than the results of learning biology with the conventional model of class XII science students of SMAN 2 Merangin 2019/2020 school year. This research was conducted with a quantitative approach with a posttest-only control design research design. The population in this study were all students of class XII IPA of SMA N 2 Merangin consisting of three classes, from class XII IPA 1, and XII IPA 2, and XII IPA 3, totaling 68 students. After steps are taken in determining the sample class, the researcher obtains a combination of the AC class, where A (XII IPA 1) becomes the experimental class, and class C (XII IPA 3) becomes the control class. Data collection techniques used to obtain the data needed is a test (test). Before being used the test was analyzed using the validity test, distinguishing power, difficulty index, and reliability test. Based on the results of hypothesis testing it is known that the price of tcount> ttable or 2.948> 2.016. From these results it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Take and Give learning model on the learning outcomes of biology class XII students of SMAN 2 Merangin 2019/2020 school year.
