Abstract

Guna mendukung upaya Pemerintah dalam mewujudkan derajat kesehatan optimal, masyarakat didorong untuk dapat memilih pengobatannya sendiri termasuk keputusan memilih pengobatan tradisional yang masih banyak digunakan sebagai alternatif memelihara dan mengatasi masalah kesehatan. Dalam hal ini, perilaku kesehatan tersebut dipengaruhi oleh faktor predisposisi, pemungkin dan faktor penguat. Penelitian bertujuan melihat faktor perilaku yang melatarbelakangi pemilihan pengobatan tradisional berdasarkan tiga kelompok usia di Kabupaten Purwakarta dengan menghubungksn pernyataan dari kuisioner yang diberikan dan mencari korelasi antar faktor tersebut. Penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif jenis eksplanatif asosiatif ini menggunakan subjek masyarakat Kabupaten Purwakarta sebanyak 137 orang melalui instrumen kuesioner yang diisi oleh kelompok masyarakat perkotaan, masyarakat urban dan masyarakat pedesaan. Persepsi masyarakat Kabupaten Purwakarta setuju terhadap tingkat pengetahuan dan animo pada pengobatan tradisional sebesar 57,7%, dalam hal ini termasuk dalam faktor predisposisi. Sementara faktor penguat dilihat dari persepsi potensi pengembangan, masyarakat setuju pengobatan tradisional tumbuh menjamur, warisan nenek moyang dan biaya pelayanan tergolong murah sebesar 59,9%. Masyarakat juga setuju pengobatan tradisional memberi bukti menyembuhkan penyakit sebesar 51,7% (skala cukup). Variabel lain menunjukkan semua kelompok usia setuju fasilitas praktik dari upaya pengobatan tradisional masih seadanya (57,0%), peneliti menganggapnya sebagai faktor pemungkin. Diperoleh bahwa perkembangan pengobatan tradisional diapresiasi oleh masyarakat dari semua kelompok usia. Dimana kelompok usia diatas 40 tahun, menyatakan persetujuan paling tinggi bahwa pengobatan tradisional potensial untuk dikembangkan, memiliki khasiat untuk penyembuhan namun fasilitas pengobatan belum terstandar dibandingkan kelompok usia 30-40 tahun maupun dibawah 30 tahun. Kata kunci: Usia, Pengobatan tradisional, Persepsi In order to support the Government's efforts in achieving optimal health status, people are encouraged to be able to choose their own treatment, including the decision to choose traditional medicine is still widely used as an alternative to maintaining and health problems. In this case, the health behavior is influenced by predisposing, enabling, and reinforcing factors. The study aims to look at behavioral factors behind the selection of traditional medicine is based on three age groups in Purwakarta with menghubungksn statements from a questionnaire and looking for correlations between these factors. The study with qualitative approach kind of explanatory associative, with subjects society Purwakarta 137 people through questionnaire filled out by a group of urban communities, urban communities and rural communities. The public perception Purwakarta agree on the level of knowledge and interest in the traditional medicine of 57.7%, in this case, including the predisposing factors. While reinforcing factors seen from the perception of the potential development, community agrees traditional medicine flourished, ancestral and relatively cheap service charges amounted to 59.9%. Traditional medical community agrees also gave evidence of cure of 51.7% (enough scale). The other variables showed all age groups agreed the practice facility of the traditional treatment efforts are still modest (57.0%), the researchers think of it as an enabling factor. Provided that the development of traditional medicine to be appreciated by people of all age groups. Where the age group over 40 years, stating the highest approval that the potential for development of traditional medicine, has properties for healing but not yet standardized treatment facilities compared to those 30-40 years of age and under 30 years. Abstract

Background: The use of chemical drugs for long periods can lead to new disease for many body organs damaged by chemical drugs. Aware of the danger, people are starting to reduce the use of chemical drugs and turn to traditional medicines. Although the use of traditional medicine has a lot of data but user education is still a bit of traditional medicine. Background information studied education because education can influence the perception held one perception to traditional medicine. Objective: To explore community perceptions of traditional medicine based education. Method: The study is a qualitative explanatory associative. His research interests Purwakarta Regency society as much as 137 people. Selection and sampling using conditional sampling method, which is analyzed by the scale Ridwan (2009). Retrieving data using questionnaires. Results: The group never attended (TPK) perception and interest strongly agree and agree to traditional medicine by 78.7%, 62.7% and at S1 S2 / S3 66%. TPK groups agree and strongly agree traditional medicine has the potential to be developed with a percentage of 81.9%, 70.3% S1 and S2 / S3 76.7%. TPK groups agree and strongly agree folk medicine cure enough to give evidence to the percentage of 67.4%, 51.8% S1 and S2 / S3 50%. TPK groups agree and strongly agree traditional treatment facilities are still modest at 80.4%, S1 agreed amounted to 50.6% and S2 / S3 are agreed by 50%.. Conclusion: For the perception and interest towards traditional medicine and traditional medicine shows potential for the development of a large percentage of the group TPK, then S2 / S3 then S1. Traditional treatment sufficient to provide evidence of healing and traditional medicine practices facilities showed a large percentage in the group of TPK, the next and last S1 S2 / S3.

Abstract

Background: Acne treatment using antibacterial has side effects such as irritation and indirect organ damage [1]. Therefore we need other alternatives for safer use of natural ingredients. Natural materials that can be used are usually derived from medicinal plants, vegetables and fruits. [2] Considering the superiority of moringa (Moringa oleifera Lam) and yam (Pachyrhizus erosus.L) leaves that both contain efficacious compounds for facial skin care, researchers are interested in conducting research by making mask preparations for Moringa leaf extract and yam starch. Research Objectives: making moringa leaf and yam starch preparations which can be taken anywhere practically. Method: This research uses the Action Research method with three formulations with different ratio of Moringa leaf extract and yam starch, F1 (3gr: 7gr), F2 (2.5gr: 7.5gr) and F3 (2gr: 8gr) . Results: Organoleptic test results of Moringa oleifera Lam (Moringa oleifera) mask and yam (Pachyrhizus erosus.L) mask masks which have been tested and observed for 3 weeks showed that there were no significant changes. The results of pH tests conducted for 3 weeks showed the results of pH at F1 (3gr: 7gr), F2 (2.5gr: 7.5gr) and F3 (2gr: 8gr) were relatively stable at around 5. Conclusion: From the pH test which is done once a week it shows a stable pH result which is around 5, in accordance with normal face pH around 4.5-6.5. Organoleptic test results performed on the three formulations did not show significant changes. Changes are only found in the distinctive aroma of Moringa leaf extract, this is due to the addition of Moringa leaf extract to each formulation with different amounts.

Abstract

Background: A burn is damage to the skin tissue caused by hot objects, electric shock, chemicals or radiation. Herb Centella asiatica and aloe vera is a plant that is know to have a healing effect on burns. Objective: This study aims to make burn gel preparations made from aloe vera with pegagan and to determine the stability seen from the organoleptic test for 3 weeks. Method: The research method used is action research which consists of four components, namely planning, acting, observing and reflecting. Preparations were made into 3 formulations of gotu kola leaf simplicia and aloe vera gel with the composition of F1 (75% gotu kola leaves, 25% aloe vera), F2 (50% gotu kola leaves, 50% aloe vera), F3 (25% gotu kola leaves, 75 % Aloe vera). Results: The combination gel preparation of Aloe Vera Meat with Gotu Kola made in this study is in 3 (three) formulations, namely F1, F2 and F3 with the composition F1 (75% Gotu kola Leaf Extract, 25% Aloe Vera Meat Extract) produces a semi-solid form, dark brown green, the distinctive aroma of gotu kola extract with a soft, sticky texture. For F2 with the composition (50% gotu kola extract and 50%, aloe vera meat extract), it produces a semi-solid form, dark brown green, with a distinctive aroma of gotu kola extract with a sticky slippery texture. F3 with the composition (25% gotu kola extract, 75% aloe vera meat extract) produces a semi-solid form, dark brown green, with a distinctive aroma of gotu kola extract with a sticky liquid texture. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that the gel for F1 burns is stable in room temperature storage and safe for use by the community with a pH range of 6.

Abstract

Background: In the market, more and more food products are rich in antioxidant compounds, but red dragon fruit peel (Hylocereus costaricensis cortex) which is considered as waste contains high levels of antioxidants. Tomato fruit (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill) has very strong antioxidant activity because it contains lycopene which is the main pigment in tomatoes. Purpose: This study aims to make a combination sheet jam preparation of tomatoes and dragon fruit peel as an antioxidant-rich supplement that is easy to safe, practical and healthy for public consumption. Methods: The research method used is action research using research instruments in the form of an organoleptic test sheet and a preference test. Preparations made with the composition ratio of tomatoes and red dragon fruit skin, each formula is 100 grams of tomatoes :100 grams of red dragon fruit skin and a variety of sweeteners for F I as much as 40 grams, for F II as much as 50 grams and sweetener for F III as much as 60 grams. Results: The results of the organoleptic test at room temperature (15-30oC) showed that there was a change from day 6 to day 21, while the organoleptic test results at cold temperatures (± 4oC) had no change from day 1. Until the 21st day, the result of the favorite sheet jam test was formula 2, which was 86.6%. Conclusion: The conclusion that can be obtained is the result of the best composition variation is formula II with the number of tomatoes and dragon fruit skin is 1: 1 with added sugar as much as 50 grams. This is because the physical stability is good, namely organoleptic color, smell, taste, stable form does not have many fungi.

Abstract

Background: Since long ago Indonesian people often use medicinal plants, one of which is the community of Kel. Ciseureuh Purwakarta who use gedi leaves (Abelmoschus manihot L.) to reduce fever, defecate and relieve deep heat. Gedi leaves have a pharmacological effect as an antioxidant, where the pharmacological effect of these antioxidants comes from flafonoid content. Purpose: This study aims to find out how to make instant powder preparations, the stability of instant powder preparations based on organoleptic tests and the level of public fondness for gedi leaf instant powder preparations. Method: The research method used is to use action research methods consisting of four components, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. Instant powder preparations are made with 500 grams of wet gedi leaves, then made into 1500 ml of liquid extract, then divided into three formulas that each 500 ml of F1 liquid extract with white crystal sugar 2, F2 with white crystal sugar 1, and F3 with palm sugar as much as 250 gr.  Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is the most stable instant powder preparation for three weeks and most preferred by respondents, namely F1 white crystal sugar 2.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Kosmetik berbahan alami adalah produk kecantikan yang dibuat dengan menggunakan bahan-bahan alami tanpa ada tambahan bahan kimia didalamnya. Pemanfaatan bahan alami dari kulit buah semangka (Citrullus lanatus) sebagai antioksidan untuk kulit wajah, yang diformulasikan sebagai sediaan masker dengan menggunakan bahan pembentuk gel (Gelling agent) alami dari tragakan. Kulit semangka ini memiliki kandungan Citrullin yang berfungsi sebagai antioksidan dan bermanfaat sebagai antipenuaan dini. Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pembuatan sediaan masker gel dengan menggunakan tragakan sebagai gelling agent, dengan menambahkan kulit semangka sebagai bahan berkhasiat antioksidan, kemudian dilakukan uji stabilitas fisik yang meliputi uji organoleptik dan uji pH untuk mendapatkan hasil sediaan masker gel yang stabil. Pengujian organoleptik dan pH dilakukan pada suhu kamar (15- 30? C). Metode: Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan desain action research, yaitu menambahkan ekstrak kental kulit putih semangka dengan konsentrasi 20% dan 40%, kemudian sedian jadi berupa masker gel diuji stabilitasnya secara organoleptis, dan uji pH yang dilakukan selama 3 minggu pada suhu kamar (15-30?C). Hasil: Penelitian menunjukan bahwa sediaan masker gel berbahan dasar tragakan yang mengandung ekstrak kental kulit putih semangka dapat dibuat, dan memenuhi mutu fisik sediaan dengan hasil uji organoleptik yang cukup stabil dan pH yang sesuai dengan rentang pH kulit yaitu berkisar 5-6,5. Simpulan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada sediaan masker gel formulasi II dengan konsentrasi 20% menghasilkan sediaan yang lebih stabil dari segi warna, bau, dan tekstur dalam penyimpanan selama 2 minggu pada suhu kamar (15-30?C) dan lebih mendekati karakteristik gel yang jernih dan tembus pandang

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Keluarnya keringat yang berlebihan dapat menimbulkan masalah seperti menimbulkan bau badan yang tidak sedap. Bau badan dihasilkan oleh bakteri yang mengkolonisasi sekresi keringat dan kelenjar sebasea. Deodoran merupakan salah satu produk yang digunakan untuk mengatasi bau badan. Masyarakat banyak menggunakan deodoran kimia karena masih jarangnya deodoran herbal. Hasil ekstrak daun sintrong diketahui berpotensi dapat menekan pertumbuhan mikroba. Buah jeruk nipis dari beberapa tinjauan literatur mengandung flavonoid yang dapat digunakan sebagai antibakteri. Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat sediaan deodoran semprot dari daun sintrong (Crassocephalum crepidioides) dan buah jeruk nipis (Citrus aurantifolia) sebagai antibakteri, dan mengetahui kestabilan sediaan deodoran semprot dari hasil uji orgonoleptik, uji pH, dan Uji Iritasi. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan (Action Research) dan menggunakan model penelitian Kurt Lewin yang terdiri dari empat komponen, yaitu perencanaan, (planning), tindakan (acting), pengamatan (observing) dan refleksi (reflecting). Penelitian ini menggunakan  instrumen penelitian berupa  lembar  observasi. Hasil: Hasil uji organoleptik menunjukan adanya perubahan pada sediaan Formula 1 dan Formula 2  dalam  hal  warna dan bentuk, sedangkan sediaan Formula 3 tidak mengalami perubahan. pada uji pH selama tiga minggu semua formula sediaan semprot menunjukan bahwa pH stabil di pH 4, dan pada uji iritasi dengan 10 responden secara sukarela menguji ketiga formula menunjukan bahwa semua formula tidak mengiritasi kulit. Simpulan: Sediaan deodoran semprot memiliki stabilitas yang baik dapat dilihat dari hasil uji organoleptik, uji pH, dan uji iritasi. Dari ketiga formula yang stabil yaitu formula 3

Abstract

Latar belakang: Kaki yang tertutup sepatu dalam waktu yang cukup lama dapat membuat kaki lembab dan bau. Foot Spray didesain untuk dapat digunakan sebagai pembersih kaki yang ideal untuk membunuh bakteri penyebab bau kaki karena penggunaan zat aktif rempah-rempah yaitu biji papaya dan kayu manis. Tujuan: Mengetahui cara pembuatan foot spray yang mengandung kombinasi biji papaya dan kayu manis dan menguji stabilitas fisik secara organoleptik dan uji PH selama 21 hari. Metode: Metode penelitian tindakan yang terdiri dari empat komponen yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi meliputi pembuatan simplisia dan ekstrak biji pepaya dan kayu manis dengan 3 formula dengan perbedaan konsentrasi gliserin yang terkandung pada FI (0,5gr), FII (1,0gr) dan FIII (1,5gr) kemudian diamati organoleptik dan ph untuk mengetahui formula yang paling baik. Hasil: Ketiga formula sediaan sampai hari ke 12 masih memiliki aroma wangi khas dan kuat, namun setelah hari ke 12 pada ketiga formula tersebut wangi khas tidak sekuat sebelumnya atau melemah. Warna sediaan pada FI dan FII memiliki perubahan dengan memudar nya warna di hari ke 18 dan pada F III warna sediaan memudar di hari ke 21. Bentuk sediaan berubah di hari ke 9 untuk F I, di hari ke 12 untuk F II, dan hari ke 21 untuk F III. Hasil uji PH sediaan foot spray ini 5,7 untuk FI, 5,6 untuk FII, dan 5,5 untuk FIII. Simpulan: Formula paling baik sediaan foot spray ini adalah pada formula III setelah dilakukan hasil pengamatan organoleptik dan uji PH selama 3 minggu.

Abstract

Background: Serum is a preparation with high concentration of active substance and low viscosity which gives a more comfortable effect and spreads easily on the skin surface. Cucumber is a member of the cucurbitaceae family and can be a source of natural antioksidants because it contains vitamin C and flavonoids which are free to break free radikcal reactions and can restore electrons to unstable cells. Objective: This study aims ti determine the formulation of cucumber extrack in the form of facial serum and to determine the stability of cucumber extrack serum through organoleptic tests, gomogeneity tests, pH tests, and dispersibility tests. Methods: This study uses an action reseach design (action reseach) and uses the concept according to Kurt Lewin which consists of 4 components namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. Results: The results of the organoleptic test for 21 days of serum preparation with storage at room temperature, the positive control and F1 resulted in a preparation with good stability, and the negative control and F2 there was a change in aroma, shape and fungus began to appear on the 6th day. Conclusion: The serum preparation is relatively stable during the storage is the first formula with a pH of 6,69 above the standard pH (4,5-6,5) which is not safe for skin use.
