Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases with characteristic hyperglycemia that occurs due to abnormal insulin secretion, insulin action or both. WHO predict that by 2030 the number of patients diabetes mellitus in Indoneisa will reach 21,3 million. Patien t compliance is indispensable for achieve theapeutic success. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of medication adherence and differences of the level in medication adherence for outpatient diabetes mellitus patients before and after giving intervestion using sosial media. The sosial media use is whatsapp.The study was conducted with a quasi-experimental design with prospective data taking during period July to August 2018. The subjects who followed study from the beginning to the end of the study were 24 patients with intervention using whatsapp sosial media. Exclusion criteria patients were patients with deaf, illierate and patienets wiht high leves of adherence. Collecting data by interviewing filing out the MARS compliance questioning pre and post intervention on whatsapp sosial media.Based on the result of the study of the level of adherence to medication after intervention were high adherence 83,33% and moderate adherence 16,67%. That was significant adherence difference (p=0,000) of the medication adherence before (22,04±1,57) and after (24,83±0,38). The average change is 2,79±1,19. The result of the study concluded that the interventions using sosial media in patients with diabetes mellitus useful can change pasient adherence in taking medicine. That is indicated by a increase in adherence medication patients (p<0,005).

Abstract

Eleutherine palmifolia L. Merr are typical plants of Borneo. Pharmacologically the part tubers are proven to have a therapeutic effect. Eleutherine palmifolia grow in the tropics, one of which is in the Petuk Katimpun area of ​​Palangkaraya, Central Borneo, where there land are vast Eleutherine palmifolia. After harvesting Eleutherine palmifolia will produce agricultural waste in the form of leaves that are not utilized and left to rot. Eleutherine palmifolia leaves waste extract contains flavonoid compounds and has antioxidant potential. Eleutherine palmifolia leaves antioxidants can be used to inhibit the aging of the skin and as an alternative to synthetic antioxidants which are harmful to health. Until now there has been no research that to take advantage of Eleutherine palmifolia leaves waste into active substances in antiaging creams. Therefore it is necessary to conduct research to obtain cream preparations with waste active ingredients as antiaging. Waste extract has a very strong antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of 45.33 ppm. One way ANOVA analysis that all cream had significantly different antioxidant attenuation (p < 0,05). Post Hoc analysis Formula III is a the formula with the damping antioxidant reduction the very biggest that is 63.84% ± 0.0891. From the results of the study, the waste of Eleutherine palmifolia leaves can be used as an alternative to anti-aging creams, which one of the efforts increased productivity of agricultural waste.

Abstract

Complications of hypertension in the body's organs cause a high mortality rate. Hypertension requires long-term drug therapy so that patients must adhere to treatment. One type of adherence in the treatment of hypertension is adherence to taking drugs from health care facilities so that patients always have the availability of drugs to drink. The purpose of this study was to examine the adherence to taking antihypertensive drugs in patients with hypertension who were referred back at the Appo Farma Pharmacy Banjarmasin. The study used an observational design. Data collection was carried out retrospectively. Data were collected from patient prescriptions for referrals at the Appo Farma Pharmacy Banjarmasin in the period May-June 2022. A total of 123 samples were used in this study. The sampling method used simple random sampling technique. Data on adherence to drug taking was analyzed using the Medication Possession Ratio (MPR) method. The parameters of the MPR calculation results are divided into compliant categories if 80% and non-compliant if less than 80%. The research data is displayed descriptively. The results showed that the measurement of adherence to repeated drug taking with a period of 3 months and 6 months were both dominated by samples with the category of adherence to taking medication again with a total of 103 samples (83.74%). Based on these data, it can be concluded that the samples of hypertensive patients in this study were not all adherence in taking their antihypertensive drugs.
