Abstract

Tujuan dari program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah (1) memperdayakan kelompok tani wanita sehingga mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan, kesadaran serta memotivasi khususnya anggota/kelompok ibu-ibu rumah tangga untuk memanfaatkan lahan kosong/ pekarangan sebagai sumber pangan/ketahanan pangan dan pendapatan keluarga; (2) kelompok tani wanita/ibu-ibu rumahtanggan mampu melaksanakan budidaya dengan sistem pertanian organik, dan (3) mampu untuk membuat pupuk organik cair serta (4) pembekalan materi pembukuan sederhana. Metode pendekatan yang akan digunakan dalam kegiatan IbM ini adalah metode pendekatan partisipasi kelompok, yaitu melibatkan masyarakat dalam kegiatan. Adapun dalam pelaksanaannya, kegiatan IbM akan meliputi: penyuluhan, pelatihan, demonstrasi, praktek langsung dan pendampingan. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan yang telah dilakukan maka kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dapat menambah wawasan dan pengetahuan serta ketarmpilan anggota kelompok tani wanita atau ibu ibu warga tentang pentingnya pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan melalui penerapan sistem pertanian organik. Sehingga diimplementasikan dalam bentuk kegiatan melalui pembentukan kelompok dan diberikan bantuan sarana produksi dan peralatan usahatni secara sederhana. Selain itu kegiatan ini juga ditekankan pada ketrampilan ibu ibu untuk menyediakan sarana produksi secara mandiri melalui pembuatan pupuk organik dari kotoran hewan dan pemanfaatan limbah rumahtangga dan bahan bahan yang ada disekitar untuk pembuatan pupuk cair. Hasil monitoring didapatkan beberapa aktivitas masyarakat dalam implementasi hasil penyuluhan.

Abstract

Air cucian beras masih mengandung karbohidrat cukup tinggi yang berasal dari kulit ari beras yang terkelupas. Disamping itu, air cucian beras mengandung nitrogen, fosfor, kalium, magnesium, sulfur, besi dan vitamin B1 yang dibutuhkan untuk pertumbuhan tanaman.  Cangkang telur juga mengandung fosfor, magnesium, kalium, seng mangan dan besi yang merupakan unsur hara penting bagi tanaman. Percobaan dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Siliwangi Tasikmalaya. Waktu percobaan dimulai pada bulan Februari sampai bulan September 2017. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain Rancangan Acak Kelompok terdiri dari 8 perlakuan dan diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Perlakuan yaitu: tanpa aplikasi/kontrol, aplikasi pupuk daun lengkap Gandasil D 10 hari satu kali, aplikasi air cucian beras 3 hari satu kali, aplikasi air cucian beras 5 hari satu kali, aplikasi air cucian beras 7 hari satu kali, aplikasi air rendaman cangkang telur 3 hari satu kali, aplikasi air rendaman cangkang telur 5 hari satu kali, aplikasi air rendaman cangkang telur 7 hari satu kali. Air cucian beras dan air rendaman cangkang telur  yang diaplikasikan pada 3, 5 dan 7 hari satu kali belum efektif terhadap peningkatan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, dan bobot brangkasan segar tanaman sampai umur 84 HST.                                                    ABSTRACTRice-washed water contains quite high carbohydrates from the peeled seeds epidermis. It also contains nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, sulfur, iron, and vitamin B1 needed for plant growth. Eggshells contain phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, zinc manganese and iron, which are essential elements for plants. The experiment was conducted at the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Siliwangi University, Tasikmalaya. The experiment started from February 2017 to September 2017. The research method used Randomized Block Design consists of eight treatments and three replications. Abstract

Oyster mushroom growing media generally in the form of sawdust. The sawdust contains high levels of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin so that the C/N ratio is high. Mixing with manure and composting are one way to improve the quality of compost. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of oyster mushroom waste combined with fermentation time on lettuce growth. The research method used a randomized block design with treatment namely A=oyster mushroom media waste 100% fermented 20 days, B=oyster mushroom waste 100% fermented 25 days C=75% oyster mushroom waste+25% goat manure fermented 20 days, D=75% oyster mushroom waste+25% goat manure fermented 25 days, E=50% oyster mushroom waste+50% goat manure fermented 20 days, F=50% oyster mushroom waste+50% goat manure fermented 25 days, G=25% oyster mushroom waste+75% goat manure fermented 20 days, H=25% oyster mushroom waste+75% goat manure fermented 25 days each treatment was repeated four times. Parameter observed were leaf area, number of leaves, net assimilation rate, root and wet weight ratio per plant. The results showed that a combination of compost consisting of 25% mushroom waste+75% goat manure both fermented 20 days and 25 days had a good influence on leaf area, leaf number, root fission ratio and weight of wet stover per lettuce plant. Keywords: Compost, Fermentation, Lettuce, Organic fertilizer

Abstract

Background: Female genital mutilation raises pros and cons among the community because of its impact. There are still many parents who perform genital mutilation on their daughters. In addition, some parents choose not to circumcise their daughters. Objective: To analyze the general impact and health impact of female genital mutilation. Methods: a literature review by searching related articles through the Google Scholar database, Researchget and Science Direct. The keywords used in Indonesian are "sunat” and "perempuan" and "dampak" while in English, they are "female" and "genital mutilation" or "circumcision" and "consequences". The search found seven related articles which were then analyzed in a narrative review. Result: Female genital mutilation impacts health, including bleeding, bacterial infection, urinary tract infection, complications during childbirth, tetanus and shock. In addition to health problems, female circumcision is also associated with early marriage. Female circumcision is also called a tradition and an act that violates human rights. Conclusion: All articles reviewed explained that female genital mutilation harms general health and well-being. Female circumcision can harm the woman herself. It is hoped that nurses will provide more comprehensive education to the community regarding the dangers and impacts of female circumcision.
