Abstract

This research has aims to describe and analyze society development participation in Namo Bintang Village, Pancur Batu District and to know how development in Namo Bintang Village to empower communities. This research belongs to qualitative research aiming to describe in detail and deeply about society participation in rural development. The instruments for collecting data are observation sheet and interview as the qualitative data and using the document. The village of Namo Bintang has an area of 495.2 hectares, The area of Namo Bintang is in the form of swamps and fields and abandoned cultivation. The livelihoods of the villagers of Namo Bintang are diverse. From the data of Namo Bintang Village, the majority of Namo Bintang's population work as farmers. The results showed that planning development process has not implemented well in Namo Bintang Village, Society participation in development planning in Namo Bintang Village was still low, the communities aren`t involved to conduct the priority of the activities which is able to their need. Therefore, it needs an accomplishment in participative development. The government should consider the suitability of the budgetary budget with Rural needs. The budgetary budget for the implementation of rural development should be given as a whole without having to be gradual so that the Implementing Team and the workers do not stop before the activity is completed, other than that need optimal socialization in the provision of information to the community in Namo Bintang Village so that they are more involved in the process, more so that the development planning can become the needs of the community. Keywords: Society Participation, Rural Development

Abstract

The price of carrots from 2014-2016 did not increase, thus reducing carrot cultivation in Karo District, especially in Merdeka District. The cause of the decline in prices, one of the causes is a wrong marketing strategy, while the marketing strategy plays an important role in achieving business success. The purpose of this study was to identify the carrot marketing strategy by conducting a SWOT analysis. The results obtained through a SWOT analysis are as follows: Strengths of Carrot Farmers always produce quality products, their own agricultural land and marketing locations are close to agricultural land, while the weaknesses of promotional Carrot Farmers are not carried out, the sales system is too long, there is no agricultural consultant, the lack of cooperation with buyers and the workforce often shifts. SO's strategy is to utilize and improve the quality of carrots so that they can be exported, increase knowledge about carrots, increase promotion. The government's WO strategy is to participate in improving the carrot sales system, maintaining a reliable workforce with adequate salaries and facilities.

Abstract

This research was conducted in the city of Medan, with the aim to find out how labor absorption in ojek transportation is online. This study uses qualitative data that aims to describe in detail and in depth about employment in online transportation. Data collection techniques used are by giving a list of questions and questionnaire forms and in-depth interviews. The population of this study is around 30 people and all of them are created as samples or total samples. The results of the study show that labor absorption in online transportation has absorbed labor from the urban population of the field is quite large. Based on data from BPS in 2017, 58.35% of the workforce is increasing and working in informal fields based on online transportation. This is due to several factors, including the existence of economic demands that can provide substantial amounts of income, a work system that is flexible, easy allocation of time, and a work system that facilitates work partners in IT-based services

Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Tanjung Gusti, Kecamatan Galang, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana dampak migrasi dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi keluarga desa. Penelitian ini menggunakan data kualitatif yang bertujuan menggambarkan secara detail dan mendalam tentang dampak migrasi dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi keluarga desa. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah dengan teknik wawancara dan studi dokumentasi untuk memperoleh informasi yang lengkap. Jumlah Informan penelitian ini adalah sekitar 35 orang dan semuanya diciptakan sebagai sampel total. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peranan migrasi dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi keluarga desa. Berdasarkan data, 65% mata pencaharian masyarakat Desa Tanjung Gusti adalah bertani dan berdagang. Untuk itu migrasi sirkuler sebagai faktor peningkatan ekonomi keluarga desa. Hal ini dapat dilihat adanya dampak positif dan dampak negatif terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi keluarga desa.

Abstract

The research was carried out in Merek District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra, with the aim of knowing the implementation of village fund allocation policies towards increasing development in the village. This study usess qualitative data which aims to describe in detail and in depth the implementation of village fund allocation policies for village development. Data collection techniques are carried out by giving respondents several lists of questions in the form of questionnaires and interviews and observations as well as documentation studies in order to obtain complete information. The informants in the study were around 40 people and all of them were used as the total sample. The results of this study found that the implementation of the village fund allocation policy (add) has been implemented in increasing development in the village, such as: pipeline rehabilitation, road widening, maintenance of social and economic service facilities and infrastructure for rural communities, agricultural business training, development of superior village products, namely coffee. arabica, as well as the development of tourist villages.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Semangat Gunung, Kabupaten Karo. Dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana dampak pembangunan infrastruktur jalan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan  memberikan daftar pertanyaan dalam bentuk angket dan wawancara yang mendalam, dengan metode analisis deskriptif.       Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang telah dilakukan terhadap seluruh data yang diperoleh, maka dapat diambil kesimpulan sebagai berikut: terdapat dampak pembangunan ifrastruktur jalan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi masyarakat di Desa Semangat Gunung, Kabupaten Karo.Beberapa dampak positif diantarannya yaitukarena adanya alat transportasi membantu masyarakat untuk berbelanja dan menjual hasil panen, aktivitas lebih cepat, terjadi pemerataan pembangunan di wilayah Kabupaten Karo dan sekitarnya, terbuka jalur-jalur alternatif, baik di Berastagi, Kabanjahe dan Tigapanah, membuka lapangan pekerjaan baru dan memudahkan jalan menuju ke tempat wisata alam pemandian panas. Ada juga terdapat beberapa dampak negatif, diantaranya trotoar terkadang menjadi beralih fungsi menjadi tempat untuk berdagang, retribusi yang diperoleh dari daerah tujuan wisata kurang dipergunakan dengan baik, pemeliharaan jalan dari simpang Doulu-Semangat Gunung tidak diperhatikan secara  periodik, padahal jumlah retribusi terus ditingkatkan, dan terjadi Kemacetan dan genangan air yang disebabkan oleh hujan lebat.

Abstract

The tourism sector is still a priority sector for the government because it is considered capable of being the locomotive of the nation's economic movement. The management of the tourism sector continues to be developed by the government, through various policies carried out by the government to make Indonesian tourism more advanced and known in the eyes of the world. The role of the national tourism sector is increasingly important in line with the development and contribution made by the tourism sector through foreign exchange earnings, economic growth, regional income, regional development, as well as in the absorption of investment and labor as well as business development spread across various regions in Indonesia, especially in Kabupaten Samosir, North Sumatra. Entering the end of 2019, the world was rocked by the Covid-19 pandemic to various countries in the world, including Indonesia, especially the Samosir Regency which had a huge impact on the world's economic sector in the tourism sector. Tourism contributes to economic growth through various channels, including foreign currency earnings, attracting international investment, creating jobs, and so on. This writing aims to examine literature from various sources, such as news in the mass media, relevant research results, and government policies. Data analysis was carried out with a qualitative-interpretive look at the development of tourism and the phenomenon of tourism conditions during the COVID-19 pandemic in Samosir Regency. Collecting data in this study using interviews, observations and documentation. Data analysis in this study used data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the development and impact of tourism during the COVID-19 pandemic on economic growth show that the government has provided special policies in order to improve the tourism sector, and various tourist destinations have also implemented strategies and programs that are able to adapt to conditions called the new normal era. and there is a change in tourist behavior. Therefore, the tourism model in this new normal era can be described, namely, tourism behavior, domestic tourist orientation, government policies, and new tourism programs.

Abstract

Tongging Tourism Village, Brand District, Karo District, North Sumatra is a tourism village that can provide a large profit for regional income and improve the economy of the community. But in fact the population in the Brand District basically has a more dominant livelihood in the agriculture and fisheries sector. The village, if utilized and developed in the tourism sector, will attract even more domestic and foreign tourists, so that people's welfare will improve. Development basically will provide a change and impact on the surrounding objects. The purpose of this study was to determine how the impact arising from the development of tourism on the economic conditions of the surrounding community in the village of Tongging. This research uses descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. The focus of this research is the development of tourism and its impact on the state of the community's economy. The data collection and determination of the level of development are carried out by the method of collecting data in case studies, comparative studies, and documentary analysis. The data analysis technique used in this research is to use Qualitative Descriptive through several processes such as data verification, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results seen that there is an impact of increasing the economic community in the development of tourism in the Village of Tongging. The positive impact of tourism development on changes in the people's economy, especially their livelihoods. Tourism provides opportunities for changes in people's livelihoods that are expanding. As with tourism development, research results show that the development of Tongging Village has an impact on the lives of surrounding communities. The number of visitors who come causes a velocity of money flow in the village of Tongging, so that the income of people both working in the tourism and non-tourism sectors increases. One of the impacts of tourism development in Tongging Village is the construction of commercial facilities in the tourism area, starting from minimarkets, hotels and souvenir centers.

Abstract

Consumer behavior is part of human-related marketing management. Consumer behavior is not the same and changes all the time, so consumer behavior in choosing satisfaction must be studied continuously. Therefore, the researcher wants to learn about the consumer behavior of Oriflame, which is a cosmetics company that offers different types of cosmetics with high quality and natural. Oriflame is a cosmetics company that offers high-quality natural cosmetics and skin care products through a network of independent sales forces that is different from the retail system in general.This study aims to determine consumer behavior in satisfaction in choosing cosmetic products at PT Orindo Alam Ayu (Oriflame) Medan Branch. This study uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. Data collection and determining the level of development are carried out by means of collecting data by means of questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative by going through several processes such as data verification, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the informants felt satisfaction in using Oriflame products as much as 66.7% and would recommend to other parties to choose Oriflame products as both beauty products and health products as much as 67.6%. Consumer behavior towards satisfaction in choosing oriflame products at PT. Orindo Alam Ayu Branch Medan is influenced by four factors, namely (1) social factors, (2) personal factors, (3) psychological factors and (4) cultural factors.
