AMBIGUITY IN SOUNDTRACK SONGS LYRIC OF MOANA MOVIE Unpris Yastanti; Anggun Dwi Setiawati

The objective of this study is to identify the ambiguity in soundtrack song lyrics of Moana Movie. This study used descriptive method to analyze data. The research data collected from “We Know The Way” lyrics and ‘I’m Moana” by soundtrack songs lyric of Moana movie. The result of this study is indicated that : (1) There are 26 ambiguity, 8 structural ambiguity and 18 lexical ambiguity in “We Know the Way” lyric and in “I’m Moana” lyrics there are 45 ambiguity, consist of 10 structural ambiguity and 35 lexical ambiguity. (2) The meaning of soundtrack songs lyric in Moana movie, “We Know The Way” telling the story of polynesian tribe which they are a fisherman, also, “I’m Moana” has meaning to describe who is Moana and her spirit when she almost give up to save her island and her people. The ambiguities in soundtrack song lyric’s Moana movie make the audiences more interest to this movie; make more variation style in language. It has good combination with the audio.

Loyalty Of The Main Character In The Choice Movie Directed By Ross Katz Unpris Yastanti

Abstract- The purpose of this analysis is to identify loyalty of the main character in The Choice movies. This study used descriptive qualitative method to analyze the data. The data are the scenes and the dialogs of the main character that contains loyalty. The results of this research indicates that;(1) The loyalty appears in the main character, (2) The loyalty types of the main character are romantic loyalist and loyal sentinel, (3) the moral message contained in the movie are keep loyal and strong, never give up, and always together that this movie explains clearly that to be a true man is one of the condition that must be possessed is loyalty. Keywords: literature, main character, types of loyalty.

The objective of this research is to know the effects of grammar mastery towards student’s listening skill. The research methodology that is used Eksperimen methodology. The subject of this research is taken from the whole population students of at Private Universities in Jakarta by the range of Academy Foreign Language Bina Sarana Informatika and sampel is taken from fourth term. This research has been done from April until August 2014. From this research shown that the result of SPSS Fo=121,637 and sig=0,000(0,000<0,05), it can be concluded that the grammar mastery give significant effect towards student’s listening skill. The objective of this research is to know the effects of of learning media towards student’s listening skill. The research methodology that is used eksperimen methodology. The subject of this research is taken from the whole population students of at Private Universities in Jakarta and sampel is taken from fourth term. From this research shown that the result of SPSS Fo=105,959 and sig=0,000(0,000<0,05), it can be concluded that the learning media give significant effect towards student’s listening skill.

Love is an emotion or positive feeling like affection, sacrifice, and trust contained in human beings aimed at other human or other objects that are around it. In other words, love is sharing affection, struggle, and complement each other. The purpose of this research are to identify characteristics of love, types of love, and moral message in Aladdin Movie directed by Guy Ritchie. This research used descriptive qualitative method to analyze the data. The data are the scenes and the dialogs of the main character that contains the characteristic of love, types of love. The result of this study reveal that: (1) There are 3 characteristics of love in Aladdin movie, they are trust, healing, and teamwork. (2) There 7 types of love in Aladdin movie, there are eros, philia, storge, agape, ludus, pragma, and philautia. (3) The moral message contained in the movie; the true love has their ways to find their soul. Aladdin falling in love with Princess Jasmine. Although, there are a lot of problems and in difficult condition, finally, Aladdin got the Princess Jasmine’s love.

The objective of this study is to identify schizophrenia of the main character, John Nash in Beautiful Mind movie directed by Ron Howard. This study used descriptive method to analyze data. The study revealed the following findings: (1) The type schizophrenia of main character is Paranoid schizophrenia.(2) The effects of schizophrenia of John Nash are life disruption and substance abuse. John does something abnormal, he speaks with people who is not real, and become a smoker. (3) The symptoms and the treatment of schizophrenia in this movie are positive symptoms such as delusion and negative symptoms are asociality and alogia. For the treatment, there are two ways in the process treatment, the first way John tried drugs therapy, but it does not work. Second way, he tried to Social and Psychological Treatment, he learnt sociality with environment by meet, greet and talk with people around him and it worked.

The purpose of the research in this movie is to determine the cause of verbal bullying and the effect of verbal bullying in the movie The Greatest Showman, directed by Michael Gracey. This method of research uses a qualitative approach. To analyze the movie the writer watched the movie several times and used the theory of books or online journals. In The movie The Greatest Showman there is a verbal violent scene such as (1) Taunting (2) A feeling of resentment (3) Hostility (4) Contempt. While the effect of bullying against victims is (1) Decreasing confidence (2) Feeling intimidate (3) Feeling isolated (4) Prolonged depression (5) Feeling dissimilar (6) Feeling stress. The results of this research are (1) the cause of verbal bullying are hostility,A sense of lack od confidence anf attentian seeking, A feeling of resentment, the Negative influence of media.(2) The Effect of bullying are Feeling disimilar and Decreasing confidence.

The purpose of this analysis is to identify dream interpretation of the main character, Conor O’Malley in A Monster Calls movie directed by J.A. Bayona. The method of this analysis is descriptive qualitative method. Sigmund Freud’s theory is used to analyze. The results of this research show that: (1)The interpretation of dream and the three stories in dream of main character are related to conflict that experienced by Conor.(2) The type of dream experienced by Conor is nightmare. Conor's nightmare is a reaction to the illness suffered by his mother.

The purpose of this study is to identify leadership in Fury movie directed by David Ayer. This study used descriptive qualitative approach. The result of this study: (1). The main character is the leader of his team. He makes a strategy and he tells the strategy to his team. (2) Leadership style of the main character in the Fury movie are autocratic and bureaucratic leadership style. (3) The moral message in the movie are a virtue, sacrifice and religious man in doing their task in the battlefield.

Code switching and code mixing are the strategy of adapting two languages in a speech. The objective of this research is to find the reason why the characters switch or mix their speaking. Revealing and classifying the kinds of code switching and code mixing are also the aim of this study. The writer chooses novel as the object of this study because the characters of this novel are bilingual who are able to speak more than one language. The type of this research is library research. Therefore, in conducting this journal, descriptive qualitative is used as the method of the analysis. The writer collects data by reading the novel, and marking them to make it easier to analyze. The result of this research points out that code mixing is frequently used by the character in the novel. The writer has collected about five kinds of code switching externally and ten kinds of code mixing. Further result, they are five kinds of internal code mixing, and five kinds of external code mixing, and the rest, there are five of external code switching. They tend to choose lexical items that are appropriate from the language where their repertoire is more comprehensive
