Abstract

Tanaman bawang merah dapat ditingkatkan melalui teknik budidaya yang tepat seperti dalam pemilihan varietas dan aplikasi bahan organik sebagai pembenah tanah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peningkatan tanaman beberapa varietas bawang merah akibat aplikasi pembenah tanah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada areal pertanian Desa Manunggal, Kecamatan Labuhan Deli Kabupaten Deli Serdang Provinsi Sumatera Utara pada bulan Februari sampai Juni 2017.  Penelitian ini memakai Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 2 faktor dan 3 blok. Faktor pertama adalah varietas (V) dan faktor kedua adalah pembenah tanah (P). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahwa varietas yang terunggul adalah varietas Super Philip, dimana varietas tersebut menunjukkan hasil produksi dari bobot kering per sampel yang paling banyak sedangkan aplikasi pembenah tanah tidak menujukkan pengaruh yang nyata pada penelitian ini.

Abstract

Perbaikan pembudidayaan tomat pada media polybag melalui aplikasi kompos dan pupuk organik cair perlu diperhatikan untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi tomat pada media polybag. Kompos dan pupuk organir cair memiliki unsur hara yang dibtuhkan tanaman. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi kompos dan pupuk organik cair dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman tomat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada areal di Binjai Sumatera Utara pada bulan Mei - Juli 2020. Penelitian ini memakai Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 2 faktor dan 3 blok. Faktor K (kompos) dan Faktor C (pupuk organik cair). Aplikasi kompos yang terbaik  K1 ( 25% kompos + 75% top soil) pada media polybag. Aplikasi kompos memberikan  pengaruh yang nyata pada penelitian ini dibandingkan tanpa aplikasi kompos.

Abstract

Community housing in Klambir Lima gardens Village on average has a yard. Most of the community's yards have not been utilized as a planting area for various agricultural commodities. Besides being able to meet the needs of their own family, they also have the opportunity to increase household income sources. The method used in this activity is carried out in 3 stages, namely the initial stage is the initial survey method, socialization is carried out with a direct approach to the community (persuasive approach) in the form of deliberation, discussion, question and answer and holding counseling directions about service activities that will be carried out and the next method is practice demonstration. Community service activities carried out are expected to provide benefits to the community by empowering community yards. The benefits felt by the surrounding community are that the community can cultivate agricultural crops in their yards, the community gets information related to how to cultivate plants.

Abstract

Abstrak Bawang merah merupakan tanaman hortikultura yang dibutuhkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Alasan pentingnya masyarakat membudidayakan bawang merah sendiri yakni diantaranya kebutuhan bawang merah di dalam rumah tangga cukup banyak karena hampir setiap hari masyarakat mengkonsumsi bawang merah untuk memasak, maka dari itu untuk mengurangi pengeluaran masyarakat harus bisa mandiri dalam memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya.  Dalam pembudidayaan bawang merah diperlukan bahan organik yang dapat membuat pertumbuhan baik sehingga menghasilkan produksi yang maksimal. Selama ini masyarakat hanya membuang sampah dedaunan disekitar pekarangan mereka sehingga dan ada juga yang membakar daun tersebut terjadinya pencemaran di lingkungan sekitar mereka. Pembuatan kompos diharapkan dapat diaplikasikan langsung untuk pembudidayaan bawang merah pada pekarangan rumah.

Abstract

Shallots are a leading commodity where shallots are a food security commodity. This study aims to determine the increase in the growth of several varieties of shallots. This study used a factorial randomized block design consisting of 2 treatment factors, namely several varieties of shallots (V) consisting of super philip, bauji, bima and maja cipanas. POC banana weevil plus (P) consisting of 0 ml/liter water/plot, 150 ml/liter water/plot, 300 ml/liter water/plot, 450 ml/liter water/plot Plant observations included leaf length (cm), number of leaves (strands), number of tillers per clump (saplings). The results showed that several shallot varieties experienced an increase in plant height, number of leaves and number of tillers. Where the best varieties are majacipanas (plant height) and bima varieties (number of leaves). Keywords: banana weevil plus, growth, poc, varieties

Abstract

This study aims to determinethe effectiveness of chicken manure and ecoenzymes on the growth of soybean (Glycine max L. Merril) plants. This study used a factorial randomized block design (RAK) with 2 treatment factors, 16 treatment combinations and 2 blocks so that there were 32 plots. Treatments (1) Chicken Manure Organic Fertilizer (A) consisted of A0 = No Chicken Manure Organic Fertilizer, A1 = Chicken Manure Organic Fertilizer 7.00 g/plot, A2 Chicken Manure Organic Fertilizer 1,400 g/plot, A3 Chicken Manure Organic Fertilizer 2,100 g/ plots. For treatment (2) Ecoenzyme (R) consisted of R0 = Without Ecoenzyme Treatment, R1 = Ecoenzyme Treatment 1:100, R2 = Ecoenzyme Treatment 1: 200, R3 = Ecoenzyme Treatment 1:300. The changes observed were plant height (cm), and number of leaves (strands).

Abstract

The demand for pakcoy vegetables in urban areas is quite high, but these vegetables must be supplied from outside the city or suburban areas. The limited land available is one of the reasons why urban communities cannot produce their vegetables. Urban farming is the right solution to overcome the problem of limited land. One of the urban farming technologies that can be applied is vertical plant cultivation. The purpose of this study was to determine the response of pakcoy plants to liquid complementary fertilizer in a vertical system. The materials used were green fortune pakcoy seeds, liquid complementary fertilizer, compost, husk charcoal, and NPK fertilizer while the tools used were polybags and bamboo racks. The research variables observed were the number of leaves, leaf width, plant height, plant fresh weight, and plant dry weight. The results showed significant differences in plant height, leaf width, and several leaves seen after the plants were 21 DAP. The P4 treatment with a concentration of 2.5 cc/liter of liquid Complementary Fertilizer (PPC) and in the best plant height, leaf width, number of leaves, fresh weight, and dry weight of pakcoy plants.

Abstract

Abstract: Community service activities aim to make the community aware of the cultiva-tion of the porang plant and also the benefits of the porang plant (Amorphophallus muelleri). Based on the problems presented, there is a lack of public understanding about the benefits of porang plants and porang cultivation. With the cultivation of the porang plant (Amorphophallus muelleri) it can increase the knowledge of the community in Sam-birejo Village, dusun II, Binjai District, Langkat Regency. can solve these existing prob-lems, then this activity will be carried out in the form of transfer of knowledge such as discussions, assistance on the cultivation of porang plants (Amorphophallus muelleri), training and practice. increasing knowledge about the cultivation of porang plants (Amor-phophallus muelleri) and their benefits, creating a form of synergistic cooperation between universities and the community in the form of community service.Keywords: extension; porang plant benefits; porang plant cultivation Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat bertujuan agar masyarakat mengetahui budidaya tanaman porang dan juga manfaat dari tanaman porang (Amorphophallus muelleri). Dengan adanya budidaya tanaman porang (Amorphophallus muelleri) ini dapat menambah pengelahuan masyarakat di desa Sambirejo dusun II decamatan Binjai Kabupaten Langkat. dapat memecahkan masalah yang ada tersebut, maka kegiatan ini akan dilakukan dalam bentuk yaitu Transfer pengelahuan seperti diskusi, Pedampimngan tentang budidaya tanaman porang (Amorphophallus muelleri), Pelatihan dan praktek Melalui pengabdian ini diharapkan tujuan dan target yang ingin dicapai pada kegiatan ini seperti: masyarakat dapat menambah ilmu pengetahuan tentang budidaya tanaman porang (Amorphophallus muelleri) beserta manfaatnya, terciptanya bentuk kerja sama yang sinergi antara perguruan tinggi dengan masyarakat dalam bentuk pengabdian masyarakat.Kata kunci : budidaya tanaman porang; manfaat tanaman porang; penyuluhan

Abstract

Aquaponics consists of fish farming and plant maintenance. Water, which is a medium for fish cultivation, is used as a source of nutrition in plant maintenance, while plants function as a biofilter for water. This study used red onion seeds of the Sanren variety. This study was an experimental study using a non-factorial randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 1 treatment factor and 5 blocks. to get 20 research plots. Planting Media Factor with a symbol (M) which consists of 4 levels, namely: M1: Compost, M2: Chaff Charcoal, M3: Cocopeat, M4: Rice Husk. The results showed that the use of several growing media in the floating raft aquaponic system had a very significant effect on plant height (cm) and the number of leaves (strands).
