Abstract

Pengetahuan konseptual adalah pengetahuan yang dimiliki seseorang tentang sesuatu termasuk fakta-fakta, konsep-konsep, definisi-definisi serta rumus dan diperoleh siswa siswa penanaman konsep, pengaitan satu konsep dengan konsep lainnya sehingga dapat medorong motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan konseptual IPA dan Motivasi siswa kelas IV yang memiliki motivasi yang tinggi maupun motivasi yang rendah. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Analisis deskriptif dilakukan dengan membuat distribusi frekuensi dan membuat histogram. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan konseptual siswa antara kelompok motivasi belajar di atas rata-rata lebih baik dari pengetahuan konseptual IPA dengan kelompok motivasi belajar di bawah rata-rata, dimana rata-rata penegetahuan konseptual dengan kelompok motivasi belajar di atas rata-rata sebesar 85,5 dan rata-rata hasil belajar IPA dengan kelompok motivasi di bawah rata-rata sebesar 72,6.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the jigsaw type cooperative learning model using concept maps on students' learning outcomes in sub-themes of housing objects rather than direct learning models. This type of research is quasi-experimental. The results showed that the jigsaw cooperative learning model using concept maps gave a higher influence on student science learning outcomes compared to the direct learning model with tcount = 4.351 and p = 0,000. The results of the analysis obtained science learning outcomes of students taught with a high-category jigsaw model with a mean gain score of 0.73 with a standard deviation of 0.099 and declared normal distribution (p = 0.581). Student science learning outcomes taught with direct learning models are classified into the medium category with an average gain score of 0.61 with a standard deviation of 0.122 and stated as normal distribution (p = 0.581). The two sample groups were stated to be from a homogeneous population with a value of p = 0.714, the cognitive domain of the experimental class students who developed after being taught the jigsaw type cooperative learning model using concept maps was C1 at 77.5% (high); C2 of 72.4% (high); C3 of 71.3% (high); C4 is 72.1% (high). Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of cooperative learning model type of group investigation on student’s conceptual knowledge and activities in the subject work and energy. This research is a quasi-experiment using two-group pretest-posttest design. The study sample consisted of two classes, namely the XI MIA-1 class as the experimental class and the XI MIA-3 class as the control of which amounted to 32 students, the sampling be done with random sampling technique. The instrument used was a test of learning outcomes in the form of students conceptual knowledge in the form of 8 essay test. In the experimental class the average activity of students in the three meetings, are 60%, 72% and 87%. From the data obtained, there is evidence of the effect of group investigation models in improving learning activity on work and energy topic in XI Senior High School 10 Medan. The hypothesis with t-test shows the result there was a significant influence of cooperative learning model type group investigation to conceptual knowledge student subject of work and energy in class XI SMA Negeri 10 Medan T.P 2018/2019.       Keywords: cooperative learning type group investigation, activities, conceptual knowledge
