Abstract

Karies gigi adalah penyakit jaringan gigi yang ditandai dengan kerusakan jaringan, dimulai dari permukaan gigi meluas ke arah pulpa. Banyak faktor yang dapat menimbulkan karies gigi pada anak, diantaranya adalah faktor kebersihan mulut yang berhubungan dengan frekuensi dan kebiasaan menggosok gigi. Selain itu, terdapat faktor luar sebagai faktor predisposisi dan penghambat yang berhubungan tidak langsung yakni pengetahuan tentang pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi. Tujuan; penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan dan kebiasaan menggosok gigi dengan kejadian karies gigi pada siswa SD Negeri 5 Waai Kabupaten Maluku Tengah. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan rancangan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dengan metode total sampling. Data dianalisis dengan mengunakan Uji chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan kejadian karies gigi pada siswa SD Negeri 5 Waai Kabupaten Maluku Tengah,diperoleh nilai ρ=0,003<α 0,05 dan juga ada hubungan antara kebiasaan menggosok gigi dengan kejadian karies gigi pada siswa SD Negeri 5 Waai Kabupaten Maluku Tengah, dengan nilai ρ=0,027<α 0,05. Kesimpulan bahwa pengetahuan dan kebiasaan menggosok gigi berhubungan dengan kejadian karies gigi pada siswa SD Negeri 5 Waai Kabupaten Maluku Tengah. Disarankan kepada pihak sekolah agar dapat bekerjasama dengan petugas kesehatan untuk memberikan penyuluhan kesehatan gigi dan mulut secara berkala.

Abstract

Periode lansia merupakan periode kehidupan yang rentan terhadap penyakit akibat mengalami perubahan fungsi tubuh dan berdampak pada terjadinya penyakitdegeneratif seperti Hipertensi. Hipertensi merupakan penyakit kronis yang jika tidak dikelola dengan tepat dapat menyebabkan komplikasi penyakit lainnya. Hipertensi membutuhkan penanganan yang komprehensif dalam mengontrol tekanan darah baik secara farmakologis dan nonfarmakologis, salah satunya adalah pendidikan kesehatan dan terapi tertawa.Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperluas wawasan tentang pentingnya kesehatan bagi lansia melalui modifikasi faktor risiko atau pengelolaan gaya hidup serta pencegahan melalui terapi tertawa. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Negeri Waai Kecamatan Salahutu Kabupaten Maluku Tengah. Metode yang digunakan yaitu mulai dari pengukuran tekanan darah, penyuluhan, training of trainer terapi tertawa bagi kader posyandudan lansia serta praktek terapi tertawa. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah lansia mengalami penurunan tekanan darah setelah diberikan terapi tertawa serta mampu melakukan terapi tertawa secara mandiri. Selain itu lansia semakin antusias untuk datang ke lokasi kegiatan, hal ini terbukti dari daftar kunjungan dan keaktifan lansia dalam mengikuti seluruh rangkaian kegiatan mulai dari registrasi, pengukuran tekanan darah, praktek terapi tertawa dan dilanjutkan dengan pemeriksaan kesehatan secara rutin.Kata kunci: Lansia; Penyuluhan; Training of trainer; Pengukuran Tekanan Darah; Terapi Tertawa.AbstractThe elderly period is a period of life that is susceptible to illness due to changes in bodily functions and has an impact on the occurrence of degenerative diseases such as hypertension. Hypertension is a chronic disease which, if not managed properly, can cause other complications. Hypertension requires comprehensive treatment in controlling blood pressure both pharmacologically and nonpharmacologically, one of which is health education and laughter therapy. This community service activity aims to broaden insights on the importance of health for the elderly through modification of risk factors or lifestyle management and prevention through laughter therapy. This activity was carried out in Waai Negeri Salahutu District, Central Maluku Regency. The method used is starting from measuring blood pressure, counseling, laughter therapy training for trainers for elderly cadres and practice of laughter therapy. The results of this activity are the elderly experiencing a decrease in blood pressure after being given a laugh therapy and being able to do laugh therapy independently. In addition, the elderly are more enthusiastic to come to the location of the activity, this is evident from the list of visits and activeness of the elderly in participating in a whole series of activities ranging from registration, blood pressure measurement, laughter therapy practice and continued with routine health checks.Keywords: Elderly; Counseling; Training of trainers; Blood Pressure Measurement; Laughter Therapy.

Abstract

Disorders due to iodine deficiency (GAKI) are very serious nutrit ional problems, because they affect the survival and quality of human resources.  The effect that is well known to people due to lack of iodine is goiter, suffering from mental disability, namely midget, mute, deafness, and mental disorders. Central Maluku Regency has a very high IDD prevalence rate, which is 33.39%. The strategy is to reduce the search for local food  alternatives  such  as  seaweed.  Seaweed  contains  high  iodine  and  can  be  consumed  to  prevent  iodine deficiency.  Central  Maluku  Regency  has  abundant  and  high  quality  seaweed,  but  the  level  of  consumption directly by the people as food is still low, thus it is necessary to develop food technology that utilizes seaweed to produce snack / snack products such as cookies. Cookies are generally made from raw flour but can be replaced by  using  sago  flour  which  is  rich  in  carbohydrates  (starch).  The  purpose  of  this  study  was  to  determine  the effect of the type and concentration of seaweed in sago cookies on iodine levels of rats (Rattus norvegicus). The results  showed  that  rats  given  iodine  standard  rations  had  iodine  levels  with  moderate  deficiency,  and  mice given adequate iodine ration had normal iodine levels. The results also showed that the administration of ration cookies containing Sargassum crassifolium 20%, 30%, and 40%, as well as Eucheuma cottonii 30% and 40% could increase rat iodine levels to be optimal. Hypothesis test results showed that the treatment of seaweed type and concentration in the ration of cookies had a significant effect on rat iodine levels. The interaction of types of Sargassum crassifolium 40% was more influential in increasing rat iodine levels. Based on the results of this study it is recommended: Cultivation needs to be developed especially on the types of Eucheuma cottonii and Sargassum crassifoliumin the Central Maluku Regency.Disorders due to iodine deficiency (GAKI) are very serious nutritional problems, because they affectthe survival and quality of human resources. Abstract

Infused water adalah air minum yang diberi tambahan potongan buah, sayuran atau herbal sehingga sari-sari dari buah yang direndam dalam air putih akan keluar, memberikan cita rasa, dan berbagai manfaat bagi yang meminum air tersebut. kandung Vitamin C yang baik untuk menjaga daya tahan tubuh dan mempunyai aktivitas antioksidan yang mampu menangkal radikal bebas dalam tubuh. Dengan demikian tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh lama perendaman potongan buah jeruk nipis terhadap kandungan Viamin C dan pH minuman infused water. Penelitian eksperimen menggunakan Rancangan acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan satu faktor yaitu  lama perendaman perasan kulit jeruk nipis selama 1 jam, 2 jam, 4 jam, dan 6 jam, dan 8 jam dengan 3 kali ulangan sehingga diperoleh 15 unit percobaan. Menganalisis  Kandungan  Vitamin C dengan Metode Titrasi Iodium dan pengukuran tingkat keasaman (pH). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Lab Biokimia dan THP Universitas Pattimura Ambon, pada bulan September 2019. Hasil uji Anova menunjukkan bahwa nilai Fhitung untuk perlakuan lama perendaman perasan kulit jeruk nipis terhadap kandungan Vitamin C minuman Infused Water adalah sebesar 1,778 dengan signifikasi 0,000. Hasil nilai Fhitung untuk perlakuan Lama Perendaman peraasan Kulit jeruk Nipis Terhadap keasaman (pH) Minuman Infused Water adalah sebesar 1.140 dengan signifikasi 0,392. Kesimpulannya ada pengaruh Lama Perendaman Perasan Kulit jeruk Nipis Terhadap kandungan Vitamin C Minuman Infused Water yang cenderung meningkat. Terdapat kecenderungan kestabilan tingkat keasaman (pH) Minuman Infused Water terhadap Lama Perendaman Kulit jeruk NipisData pengaruh perendaman jeruk nipis terhadap kandungan vitamin C dan pH dianalisis dengan anova satu jalur.

The Bumi Lestari Maluku Waste Bank was established in order to develop social awareness for the environment, especially in waste management and reforestation. The purpose of the study was to describe the management pattern of the Bumi Lestari Maluku waste bank in Ambon City and to find out public perceptions on economic, social, and environmental aspects related to waste management. The research was conducted in Laha Village, Teluk Ambon District, Ambon City. Data were collected by means of a census of 30 customers of the Bumi Lestari Maluku waste bank who were used as research respondents. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through interviews with respondents using a questionnaire and secondary data was obtained from a relevant source from the Department of the Environment, the National Statistics Agency. The method used is descriptive quantitative analysis using a Likert scale. Research shows that the Bumi Lestari Maluku Waste Bank has a system and working method starting from sorting organic and inorganic waste in the household, depositing waste to a waste bank, weighing waste, recording the amount of waste savings to the results into rupiah value and waste by collectors. Community perception of Bumi Lestari Maluku waste management economically with additional income, socially increasing social interaction, and creating a clean and healthy environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of importance and implementation, as well as the suitability of performance attributes of agricultural extension services. The analysis method uses gap analysis or gaps. The results showed that the attributes were classified as very important, namely: Serious attention (P5), Reliability in seeking facilities and infrastructure (P8), Reliability in helping farmers/farmer groups in preparing farming activity plans (P9), Reliability in helping farmer groups in making group administration (P9) P10), The instructor's reliability for increasing business results (P14), The instructor's willingness to provide services quickly (P15), The instructor's willingness to help the difficulties faced by the farmers (P16), The instructor's time to respond quickly to farmers' requests (P17), Accuracy in handling farmer's complaints (P18), Extension officers have the competence to guide, solve problems of farmers/farmer groups in the field, and establish business partnerships in agriculture (P19), Extension officers are polite and friendly (P20), Extension officers have the knowledge and skills to provide clear and easy information understandable (P21), and Easy to find and contact for consultation (P24). The prioritized attributes are improved, namely P17, P18, Reliability of agricultural instructors in conveying information on business opportunities and capital (P13), Counseling is carried out on time (P4), P15, Serious attention from instructors to farmers (P5), P9, Reliability in conveying latest technology (P11), P16, Reliability in conveying market information (P12), Training and regular visits (P7), P14, P8, P19, Paying special/individual attention (P26), and P24.

Abstract

Waste management through waste banks in an area will have an impact on the community and the environment of the area itself. Waste management can run well if there is participation from various parties, including the community. This paper aims to analyze the concept of waste and waste management and processing methods, analyze the concept of waste bank systems and mechanisms in providing economic and environmental benefits, analyze what factors influence community participation in waste management through waste banks. The results of the study show that waste management consists of reducing waste and handling waste. Waste reduction includes reducing landfill waste, recycling, and re-managing the waste. Communities as waste producers are incorporated in waste banks and carry out activities of collecting, sorting, and saving economic value inorganic waste in waste banks. Then the waste is sold to the waste dealer and the waste bank gets money from the sale which is then deposited into the community's savings according to the purchase price of the waste from the community. Factors that influence community participation in waste management through waste banks are the individual characteristics of the waste bank community, environmental support for waste banks and public perceptions of waste bank governance.

Abstract

The people of Southeast Maluku Regency process bitter cassava as household food which is known as "enbal". Enbal is one of the local food resources that can be used as an alternative food ingredient in an effort to diversify food consumption. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the communication system in the development of local enbal food in Southeast Maluku Regency. The results of the study explain that food is an important and strategic commodity for the Indonesian people because it is a basic need that must be met by the government and society together. In developing local food, communication elements in community development must synergize with each other in building local food in order to lead to food self-sufficiency. The government's task in food affairs is to organize, regulate, develop, control and supervise the availability of food, one of which is carried out by issuing policies on food security. The private sector and the community participate in supporting the policy
