Abstract

This research aimed to describe the profile of the visualizer and verbalizer students to think analytically in solving mathematical problems. The subjects were 3 visualizer students and 3 verbalizer students obtained by VVQ questionnaire. The research data are the form of analytical thinking tests and interviews were then analyzed based on the indicators of analytical thinking in solving mathematical problems based on the stage Polya. The results obtained by the visualizer students mention known and asked by picture, modelize problem by picture, use any different strategies, and conclude by picture. In other hand, verbalizer students mention known and asked by words, modelize problem by word (symbol or alphabet), use same strategy, and conclude by words. In the final result, there is no difference ability between the visualizer and verbalizer students' cognitive style to think analytically in solving the problem because both are quite good.

Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the government was requiring to be able to implement a learning system by the applicable health protocol. Based on this, the government must change the learning system from face-to-face meetings to online learning. Technology that is rapidly growing can be advantaged to fully support the online learning process so that the Ministry of Religion Affairs makes an innovation, namely e-learning madrasah media for simplifying the online learning process for all madrasah in Indonesia. This study aims to make readers know the level of effectiveness of online learning using madrasah e-learning to optimize the student understanding of mathematics. This study used a survey method that was conducted online with a quantitative descriptive research type. The results are that online mathematics learning activities using e-learning madrasah are quite efficient, considering that there are still constraints on the ownership of students' equipment and inadequate internet networks, and students are not maximal in absorbing the material provided. However, the advantages we found were the full support provided by the school, teachers, and parents for ongoing learning. Also, learning mathematics using madrasah e-learning is efficient and flexible so that students can carry out learning well.

Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, online learning (online) has been continuing. The lack of online learning is a home visit service emerged to monitor students' learning. Apart from teachers, parental participation is very important in determining children's learning achievement. This study aims to describe the relationship between home visits services and parental participation in mathematics learning outcomes for grade 2 elementary school. The method in this study is quantitative research. This study involved 32 third-grade students at Al-Aqsa Islamic elementary school in Sidoarjo as research subjects. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire of home visits and parental participation in learning mathematics. Data collection using a home visit questionnaire and parental participation and documentation of mathematics learning outcomes. The analysis data with a correlational approach using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate the home visit service, parents, and mathematics learning outcomes are included in the very goods category. This means that home visit services can improve children's mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Perdagangan luar negeri Indonesia sedang ditata kembali format dan kinerjanya, agar pemerintah tidak membuat kesalahan dalam mengambil keputusan untuk meningkatkan ekspor non migas, maka pemerintah harus mampu memprediksi volume ekspor non migas. Prediksi pada dasarnya merupakan suatu perkiraan tentang terjadinya suatu kejadian di waktu yang akan datang. Salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk memprediksi nilai ekspor tersebut adalah dengan k-means clustering dan gath-geva clustering. Kemudian dibentuk Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) untuk memperoleh hasil prediksi sehingga didapatkan error dan validasi hasil prediksi.Berdasarkan hasil analisa RMSE, cek maksimum dan cek minimum maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Gath-Geva (GG) Clustering lebih teliti dibandingkan dengan metode K-means clustering

Abstract

This research aims to know the level of learning readiness, numeracy skills, and mathematics learning outcomes of students, as well as to determine the effect of learning readiness and numeracy skills on mathematics learning outcomes. Sampling was done by purposive sampling so that the fifth grade students at MI Islamiyah Bumiayu were selected as samples in this research. The method used in this research is quantitative research methods with data collection techniques documentation, questionnaires, and tests. The research instrument test and questionnaire were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results showed that there was an influence between learning readiness and mathematics learning outcomes, and there was an influence between numeracy skills and mathematics learning outcomes with the magnitude of the effect of both of them by 88%.

Abstract

As long as pandemic Covid-19 all about learning will use online learning. This policies set by our Government to cut deployment virus Covid-19. So, altough pandemic staying we can do online learning. Many media online learning will can use by us, such as Google Meet and whatsapp grup. Both of this media can be alternative as online learning on going. Google Meet will help teachers and students face to face so, teachers can be easier to give theory. Whatsapp grup will help students for send their duty that given by teachers. So this study aims to find out how effectiveness online learning use Google Meet and whatsapp grup to increase learning outcomes mathematic during pandemic Covid-19. This study will run in Elementary School Surabaya. The research method use a quantitative method, is a method how big influence free variable to banded variable. Recruitment data collection use questionnare made by google form that given by selected correspondence. So with this study will get results about online learning use Google Meet and whatsapp grup to increase learning outcomes in only when students got theory and duty by teachers during pandemic Covid-19.

Abstract

Abstract The Covid-19 pandemic has switched the face-to-face learning system to online learning related to digital technology access and the parent-student attachment to learning activities. This study aimed to explain the effectiveness of online learning on technology ability and parent attachment in elementary school students. The method used was a quantitative survey. The sampling technique was random sampling with 396 total population, and 40 participants were students’ parents at MI Islamiyah Ngoro Jombang. The data were collected using a questionnaire. The data analysis used descriptive statistical tests and manova (multivariate analysis of variance). The results indicated that 13 students took online learning (X) for less than 1 year and 27 students for more than 1 year. This result proved that online learning significantly influenced technology ability and parent-student attachment. Therefore, it can be concluded that online learning effectively improved technology skills and parental attachment to students at MI Islamiyah Ngoro Jombang.

Abstract

Transisi pembelajaran menuju pasca pandemi mengubah metode pembelajaran dari daring menjadi luring. Hal ini menimbulkan perubahan kondisi belajar yang semula bebas menjadi terkontrol dan berimbas pada motivasi belajar siswa. Maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media youtube dan quizizz dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas IV Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Tanada Sidoarjo. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif one-shot case study design dengan sampel 20 siswa kelas IV B yang diberi perlakuan berupa penggunaan media youtube dan quizizz. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan angket. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda berbantu aplikasi SPSS 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui uji F, diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 dan Fhitung lebih besar dari Ftabel (9451,133 > 3,55). Artinya, penggunaan media youtube dan quizizz terbukti efektif dan memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

Does Problem-Based Learning Integrated into PHET Improve Mathematical Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Ability Objectives: This study aims to test the effectiveness of the use of PBL combined with PHET rather than PBL about problem-solving ability and mathematical critical thinking. Methods: This study uses a experimental approach involved a sample of 63 students of grade VIIIs favorite MTs in Sidoarjo Regency, East Java, divided into 2 classes (PBL class combined with PHET and regular PBL class). The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics combined with Mann-Whitneys statistical test. Findings: This study finds out that  there is no difference in the influence of the intervention on the application of PBL combined with PHET with the usual PBL group in developing students mathematical problem-solving bility, and there are differences in the influence of interventions on the implementation of PHET integrated PBL and the application of ordinary PBL in developing students mathematical critical thinking ability. Conclusion: Based on findings, the importance of providing adequate computer facilities for students when they want to implement website-based learning media such as PHET.Keywords: PHET, PBL, problem solving, critical thinking, and mathematics.Abstrak: PHET dan PBL: Apakah Mereka Bekerjasama dengan Baik dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Matematis dan Pemecahan Masalah? Objectives: Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji efektivitas penggunaan PBL dipadu PHET dibandingkan PBL dalam kaitan kemampuan problem solving dan berpikir kritis matematis. Metode: Penlitian dengan pendekatan eksperimen melibatkan sampel sebanyak 63 siswa kelas VIII MTs favorit di Kabupaten Sidoarjo Jawa Timur, terbagi dalam 2 kelas (Kelas PBL dipadu PHET dan kelas PBL biasa). Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif yang dipadu dengan uji statistik Mann Whitney. Temuan: Temuan penelitian ini di antaranya tidak ada perbedaan pengaruh intervensi pada penerapan PBL dipadu PHET dengan kelompok PBL biasa dalam mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa, dan terdapat perbedaan pengaruh intervensi pada penerapan PBL diintegrasikan PHET dan penerapan PBL biasa dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Kesimpulan: perlunya menyediakan sarana komputer yang memadai bagi siswa ketika hendak mengimplementasikan PBL dipadu media pembelajaran berbasis website seperti PHET.Kata kunci: PHET, PBL, pemecahan masalah, berpikir kritis, dan matematika. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i2.202215

Abstract

It is widely agreed that knowing how prospective teachers develop analogical reasoning in solving problems is important. Some problem solving is domain specific and require particular ways of analogical reasoning skill, therefore this study aims to reveal the development of analogical reasoning and strategies used by prospective teachers. The research design use a qualitative method. As many as 69 mathematics prospective teachers were involved voluntarily to complete algebraic tasks and 12 of them were interviewed to investigate their analogical reasoning and solution strategies. The data analysis used the Ruppert’s framework consisting of four components: structuring, mapping, applying, and verifying. It was found that the first three components were fully performed by the prospective teachers. However, the verifying stage was applied by prospective teachers in different ways. The dominant strategy used was a combined strategy of multiplication and addition. Their strategies varied according to the subjects’ general ability. The more strategies employed in solving problems, the better their analogical reasoning becomes. This implies that instructional designs that will be developed by prospective teachers may vary. Therefore, during their candidature, they should be provided by many solving strategies in problem solving to develop students’ analogical reasoning.
