Abstract

Latar Belakang: Body image perception yang negatif pada remaja putri, khususnya yang menekuni bidang seni tari, menyebabkan mereka mengubah kebiasaan makan sebagai upaya untuk menyesuaikan berat badan sesuai dengan standar publik, padahal menurut data terdapat 14,5% wanita usia subur mengalami kekurangan energi kronis. Pengaruh teman sebaya juga menjadikan para remaja putri menaruh perhatian lebih besar terhadap tubuhnya dan secara tidak sadar mengubah kebiasaan makan mereka. Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan body image perception dan teman sebaya dengan kebiasaan makan pada remaja putri di Jurusan Seni Tari, SMK Negeri 1 Kasihan (SMKI Yogyakarta). Metode: Jenis penelitian kuantitatif observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Penelitian merupakan 54 remaja putri di Jurusan Seni Tari, SMK Negeri 1 Kasihan (SMKI Yogyakarta) yang diambil menggunakan metode stratified random sampling. Kuesioner Body Dissatisfaction Scale (BDS) digunakan untuk mengetahui body image perception, sedangkan kuesioner Peer Influence Scale (PFS) untuk mengetahui pengaruh teman sebaya. Kebiasaan makan dinilai menggunakan Adolescent Food Habits Checklist (AFHC). Analisis data menggunakan uji Pearson. Hasil: Terdapat 57,4% responden memiliki body image perception yang negatif, 11,1% responden mendapatkan pengaruh teman sebaya, dan 55,6% responden memiliki kebiasaan makan tidak baik. Tidak ada hubungan antara body image perception dengan kebiasaan makan (p=0,171) dan tidak ada hubungan antara teman sebaya dengan kebiasaan makan (p=0,086). Kesimpulan: Tidak ada hubungan antara body image perception dan teman sebaya dengan kebiasaan makan pada remaja putri di Jurusan Seni Tari, SMK Negeri 1 Kasihan (SMKI Yogyakarta).

Abstract

Background: Diarrhea is one of the causes of death in children. The incidence of diarrhea in Yogyakarta City in 2014 was still quite high, as many as 917 cases. The use of milk bottles is one of the factors causing diarrhea in children. Milk bottles are susceptible to bacterial contamination due to poorthe  use of milk bottles. Objective: To investigate the relationship between the practice of using milk bottles and the incidence of diarrhea in infants in the working area of Umbulharjo 1 Health Center, Yogyakarta City. Methods: The design of this study was cross sectional. The research was conducted in the Umbulharjo Community Health Center work area 1. The research subjects were 138 children aged 0–59 months and using milk bottles. Data were analyzed using  Chi Square test to determine the relationship between the practice of using milk bottles and the incidence of diarrhea. Results: The practice of using milk bottles in 89 toddlers (64.5%) was included in the bad category while 49 toddlers (35.5%) were included in the good category. There was a relationship between the practice of using milk bottles with the incidence of diarrhea (p=0.00). Conclusion: The practice of using a good bottle of milk can reduce the risk of diarrhea in infants.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Prevalence of anemia in woman aged > 15 years old is 22,7 %. Anemia in adolescent girls is one of the health problems in Indonesia, which must be solved immediately. It will be a risk on their pregnancy and birthing. Knowledge of woman about anemia is quite low. The government efforts to reduce the prevalence of anemia through prevention and treatment programs for anemia in adolescents and woman reproductive age, by iron supplementation through school institutions. Objective: To know the effect of anemia prevention and control programs on increased knowledge, complience to iron splement consumption and Hb levels. Methods: This study was quasi-experimental study with one group pretest post-test design. The research was conducted since July until October 2019. The sample in this study were 52 female students of MAN Labuan Bajo NTT who met the inclusion criteria. Knowledge was taken by means of a test using a questionnaire, compliance was taken from the iron supplement consumption and Hb levels were taken with Easy Touch GCHb.. Statistical analysis used the Dependent t-test. Result: The results showed an increase in the value of knowledge after intervention 9.49 and an increase in Hb levels by 0.75 gr / dl. There was no difference in the number of tablets taken after the intervention. Conclusion: Prevention and treatment of anemia programe increases knowledge and Hb levels. Complience of iron suplement consumption is high because of supervision from teacher.

Abstract

Background: Prevalence of Indonesian elderly has now reached 7%, which is considerably high. Physical performance is an important health status indicator in elderly. Declining of physical performance such as hand grip strength in elderly is related to oxidative stress. Furthermore, oxidative stress plays an important role on the decreasing of skeletal muscle function. Plasma malondialdehyde (MDA) is a lipid peroxidation residue that is often used as an oxidative stress biomarker. Meanwhile, tea is the most widely drunk beverage after water. Green tea contains antioxidants that can reduce the damages caused by oxidative stress. Objective: To assess the effect of green tea extract (GTE) on plasma malondialdehyde level and hand grip strength of elderly.Method: This was a double-blind experimental with pre-post test and control group. Fifty-seven elderly people from Balai Pelayanan Social Tresna Wredha (BPSTW) Abiyoso and Budi Luhur who met inclusion and exclusion criteria were divided into 2 groups. During 30 days, the first group was given 2 capsules of GTE a day (±168 mg catechin and 95 mg Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) and the second group was given a placebo. MDA was measured by thiobarbituric acid  (TBA)method and hand grip strength was measured by handgrip hand grip dynamometer. Results: There was a significant decreasing MDA (p<0,05) in the GTE group, but not in the placebo group. There was also increasing handgrip strength in the GTE group but not in the placebo group. Conclusion: Green tea extract can prevent increasing MDA and declining physical handgrip strength in elderly.

Abstract

The effect of white oyster mushroom juice (Pleurotus ostreatus) to total cholesterol, triglyceride, and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels in patients with hypercholesterolemiaBackground: The high incidence of hypercholesterolemia due to the wrong diet is a health problem that needs to be addressed immediately. One food ingredient that is being cultivated and believed to have a hypocholesterolemic effect is a white oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus). These foods contain water-soluble fiber (β glucans) and lovastatin which are useful for improving lipid profiles. Objective: To determine the effect of white oyster mushroom juice (Pleurotus ostreatus) to total cholesterol, triglyceride, and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels in patients with hypercholesterolemia. Methods: This is a quasi-experimental study with a pretest and posttest design. This study was conducted by giving white oyster mushroom juice (Pleurotus ostreatus) for 14 days and then measured its effect on total cholesterol, triglyceride, and MDA levels. The location of the study in Pisangan Tridadi Sleman and the respondent was adults aged 18-55 years who had hypercholesterolemia. Data collection of lipid profiles was taken from venous plasma blood after 12 hours of fasting. While MDA levels were measured by using the thiobarbituric acid (TBA) method. The changes in cholesterol, triglycerides, and MDA levels after administration of white oyster mushroom juice analyzed using paired-t-test and Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Results: The oyster mushroom juice affected decreasing triglyceride levels (2.27 mg/dL; p=0.023). There was no difference in the mean total cholesterol and MDA levels between before and after the intervention. Conclusions: Consumption of white oyster mushroom juice for 14 days significantly reduce triglyceride levels in patients with hypercholesterolemia.

Abstract

Nutritional status based on the dialysis malnutrition score (DMS) with hemodialysis patients' quality of lifeBackground: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a disorder of the kidney organs characterized by abnormalities in the structure or function of the kidneys. Patients suffering from end-stage CKD require renal replacement therapy in the form of hemodialysis. However, hemodialysis on a routine basis can decrease nutritional status, which will result in malnutrition patients. Malnutrition is associated with morbidity and mortality rates, such as prolonged weakness, susceptibility to infectious diseases, and impaired wound healing that can affect the quality of life. Objective: This study aims to determine the correlation between nutritional status based on the Dialysis Malnutrition Score (DMS) with the quality of life of hemodialysis patients. Methods: The research design was cross-sectional with an observational research design. This research was conducted from 02 September 2019 until 11 September 2019 in the hemodialysis unit at RSUD Panembahan Senopati Bantul with 182 subjects of all chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis from 2009 until April 2019. The researcher assessed nutritional status data based on the DMS. In addition, the quality of life was based on Kidney Disease Quality of Life (KDQoL) which researchers for elderly subjects assisted, and some parts filled directly by the subject. The statistical analysis used for this study was the Chi-square test. Results: Based on the Chi-square test, there is a correlation between nutritional status based on the DMS and the quality of life of hemodialysis patients (p-value=0.009). Most subjects had good nutritional status based on the DMS and had good quality on the KDQoL. Conclusions: There is a correlation between the risk of malnutrition based on the Dialysis Malnutrition Score (DMS) and hemodialysis patients' quality of life (KDQoL).

Abstract

The Effect of Food Hygiene Sanitation with Whatsapp Group Media on Knowledge, Attitude and behaviour on Food Handlers in Karang Field Kotagede YogyakartaBackground: Contaminated food is often made and sold by street hawkers due to poor hygiene and sanitation standards. Food sanitation hygiene behavior can be improved by means of whatsapp media education. The whatsapp application is one of the applications with the highest number of usage in the world.Objective: To determine the effect of food sanitation hygiene education through the whatsapp group media on food handler behavior. Methods: This research type is a quasi experiment with one group pre test post test design. The research respondents were 21 food handlers who were determined by purposive sampling. Data collection using an observational checklist sheet. Data were analyzed using paired sample t-test. Results: Based on the paired sample t-test, the significance value (sig) of the behavior level was 0.358 (p> 0.05). The result of the average score of behavior before the intervention (pre test) given food sanitation hygiene education was 16.81, including the moderate category (67.05%). The average result of the behavior score before the intervention after (post test) given food sanitation hygiene was 16.95, including the moderate category (67.81%). Conclusion: There was no difference in behavior before and after food hygiene education was carried out using the WhatsApp group media.

Abstract

Dusun Pisangan yang terletak di Desa Tridadi memiliki potensi sebagai Desa Wisata Kedungaren sekaligus dapat dikembangkan menjadi homeindustri kuliner oleh masyarakat karena memiliki perkebunan pisang. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan inovasi pengolahan taro pelepah pisang sehingga dapat menjadi icon desa wisata dan diversivikasi pangan serta membangun kemandirian ekonomi masyarakat, khususnya pasca pandemi covid-19. Metode yang digunakan yaitu melakukan inisiasi bersama kelompok wanita tani (KWT) Kedungaren dalam pembudidayaan perkebunan pisang, dimana pelepah pisang yang ada kemudian dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan baku pembuatan taro dengan beberapa variasi yang nantinya akan ditentukan variasi terbaiknya melalui analisis deskriptif dan inferensial (spss). Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini mampu memberikan hasil bahwa tim KWT Kedungaren untuk produksi taro pelepah pisah yang terstandar. Standarisasi telah dilakukan terhadap standar resep (melalui penentuan variasi taro terbaik) dan standar proses menggunakan spiner sehingga penyerapan minyak menjadi optimal. Standarisasi pengemasan juga telah dilakukan untuk produk taro pelepah pisang yang diberi nama Happysang. Kesimpulan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu standarisasi produksi terbukti efektif meningkatkan mutu hasil produk taro pelepah pisang, dimana hal tersebut ditunjukkan melalui adanya perubahan kualitas sebelum dan setelah dilakukan pendampingan produksi pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang telah dilakukan.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta merupakan provinsi dengan jumlah kasus Diabetes Mellitus terbanyak di Indonesia. Kota Yogyakarta khususnya wilayah kerja Puskesmas Pakualaman merupakan puskesmas dengan kasus Diabetes Mellitus terbanyak pada tahun 2018, yaitu sebanyak 744 kasus. Pasien Diabetes Mellitus memiliki tujuan mempertahankan kadar glukosa darah tetap normal. Asupan serat yang tinggi dan tingkat stres yang rendah dapat menurunkan kadar gula darah. Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan antara asupan serat dan tingkat stress dengan kadar gula darah sewaktu pasien Diabetes Mellitus tipe II di Puskesmas Pakualaman. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian observasional dengan desain penelitian cross sectional. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 41 orang dengan teknik sampling proportional purposive sampling. Asupan serat didapatkan dengan menggunakan formulir Semi Quantitative Food Frequency (SQFFQ). Tingkat stress didapatkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), dan kadar gula darah sewaktu didapatkan dari rekam medis. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman. Hasil : Rerata asupan serat per hari sebesar 13,31 ± 4,89 gram, rerata skor tingkat stress 24,34 ± 4,2, dan rerata kadar gula darah sewaktu 214,88 ± 43,16 mg/dL. Analisis uji korelasi Spearman menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna antara asupan serat dan tingkat stress dengan kadar gula darah sewaktu (p=0,366, p=0,632). Kesimpulan: Tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna antara asupan serat dan tingkat stress dengan kadar gula darah sewaktu pasien Diabetes Mellitus tipe II di Puskesmas Pakualaman.
