Abstract

Waduk Nadra Krenceng merupakan waduk yang berada di Kota Cilegon, Banten merupakan penampungan air dari sungai Rawa Danau dan beberapa aliran sungai sekitar Kota Cilegon dan DAS Cidanau. Sebagai tempat penampungan air maka waduk mempunyai kapasitas tertentu dan sangat rawan mengalami perubahan kualitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan memantau kualitas air Waduk Nadra Krenceng. Penelitian ini dilakasanakan pada bulan Maret - April 2015 pada 4 stasiun pengamatan yaitu: Inlet Kapudenok, inlet Rawa Gondong Kubang Lesung, di tengah waduk dan outlet Krenceng Masigit. Suhu perairan Waduk Nadra Krenceng   berkisar antara 27-31°C,   kecerahan antara 0,16-0,25m, pH   antara 7,58-8,37, DO  antara      6,6-12,5 mg/l, Nitrat antara 1,1-9,4 mg/l, fosfat antara 0,12-0,35 mg/l dan kandungan khlorofil-a perairan berkisar antara 22,45-391,13 µg/l. Kata Kunci : Cilegon, Waduk Nadra Krenceng, Kualitas air,

Abstract

The range of protein requirements in Forty marron (Cherax cainii) makes it possible to use artificial feed based on non-fish meal or from plant material. The aim of this study was to evaluate vegetarian feed digestibility on marron freshwater lobster (Cherax cainii) using chromium oxide as a marker. The study was conducted at the Curtin Aquatic Research Laboratory, Curtin University, Perth, Western Australia. A 40 freshwater lobsters with an initial weight of 60.07 ± 5.33 g were kept in 10 aquariums. Observations carried out for 10 days. Results indicated that total digestibility and survival rate of marron given commercial feed with protein sources of soybean meal were not significantly different from commercial feed with fish meal protein sources (P <0.05). However, relative growth, FCR and FER forty marron given commercial feed with fish meal protein sources is better.

Abstract

Consumer demand for live fish commodities has increased, especially for the type of fish that have high economic value, one of which is tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). Good handling transportation system is needed to make fish still alive until destination. The purpose of this research is to determine the concentration of Pangium edule leaves extract best as the fainting of tilapia in fish transportation. This research method was an experiment with two replications with each concentration 0, 600, 800, 1000, 1300, 1700 and 2500 ppm. The research consists of a preliminary research to determine the limited concentration extract of Pangium edule leaves that can make mortality to the fish and primary research to determine effective concentration as anesthetic material and application during dry transportation system. The results showed that the effective concentration of Pangium edule leaves was 2500 ppm with faint average 35 minutes and recovery time was 5 minutes. Application of Pangium edule leaves extract for the dry transportation system with a concentration of 2500 ppm reached an optimum level of survival rate was 100% for 2 hours.

Abstract

Aeromonas hydrophila is one of the pathogenic bacteria existed in Indonesia and have negative impact on aquaculture. The high mobility of transported fish commodities through Merak Port also increases the potential fish diseases outbreak carried from Java to Sumatera Island, included A.hydrophila bacteria. The aim of this research was to evaluate the frequency of A.hydrophila found in fish transported through Merak Port. This research was done by collecting data series from 2014 to 2016 at Fish Quarantine and Inspection Agency of Merak. Results indicated that A. hydrophila dominate among other bacteria (31.37%). However, trend of this bacteria decreased by the time with up to 56.9%. This results can be used as the basic information of prevention tool/mitigation action to prevent the Motile Aeromonas Septicemia (MAS) disease outbreak caused by A. hydrophila.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the pharmacokinetics and time of withdrawal of antibiotic enrofloxacin in catfish (Clarias gariepinus) which was attacked by Aeromonas hydrophila. The study was conducted from June to August 2017 at Station for Investigation of Fish Health and Environment, at Pasauran, Serang Regency. The experimental method consisted of two treatments and three replications with each container using 110 fishes. Control treatment was those without antibiotics, while the withdrawal time was those with antibiotics during five days, after five days the withdrawal time container was without antibiotics again. The pharmacokinetics and withdrawal time were determined by the longest time in the organ (ELISA method) and water quality were analyzed descriptively. Data analysis using 95% confidence interval and 50% confidence interval MRL (limited residual maximum). The results showed that the catfish antibiotic was found highest in the renal organ were 360.73 μg / kg before the renal treatment of 10.68 μg / kg and the liver after the highest treatment was 415.75 μg / kg before liver treatment 13.60 μg / kg and increased after treatment. Therefore, the withdrawal time of antibiotic enrofloxacin in catfish was at 16 days.

Abstract

Moringa leaves is a potential ingredient for raw material of tilapia feed, which a high protein content of 25%. However, moringa leaves has a high fibre and antinutritional factors. The aims of this study was to evaluate the fermentation of Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera) as a raw material feed on tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). This study was conducted for eight months at Laboratory of Aquaculture, Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. The study consisted of 4 treatments of feed with different fermentations, namely: A: reference feed 70% + Moringa leaves meal 30%, B: reference feed 70%+fermented Moringa leaves meal with Rhizopus oligosporus 30%, C: reference feed 70%+fermented Moringa leaves meal with Saccharomyces cereviceae 30%, and feed D: reference feed 70%+fermented Moringa leaves meal with Aspergillus niger 30%. The results showed that feed with Moringa leaves fermentation using A. niger resulted in the best growth on tilapia compared to other treatments. Fermentation with A. niger and R. oligosporus on Moringa leaves produced the best nutrient digestibility value compared to other treatments. Moringa leaves fermented with A. niger, S. cerevisiae and R. oligosporus had no effect on physiological processes on tilapia, as shown by hematological parameter values that were within the normal range. Moringa leaves fermented with Aspergillus niger can be used as a raw material for tilapia feed.

Abstract

Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Cibanten berhulu di Situ Cibanten yang merupakan kumpulan mata air dan kemudian mengalir hingga sejauh ± 42,07 Km dan bermuara di perairan Teluk Banten. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginventarisasi jenis-jenis ikan di DAS Cibanten. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada bulan Mei-Juni 2017 dan pada bulan Oktober 2018 di daerah hulu, daerah tengah dan daerah hilir dari DAS Cibanten. Data dianalisis keanekaragaman dengan Indeks Shannon-wiener diversity index dan Index of Biotic Integrity. Selama penelitian didapat 80 ekor ikan dari 6 spesies, yaitu Tor sp., Rasbora aprotaenia, dan Puntius sealei di Hulu DAS; Barbonymus gonionotus dan Pterygoplichthys pardalis di Tengah DAS; serta Dermogenys pusilla di Hilir DAS. Berdasarkan nilai indeks keanekaragaman dan Index of Biotic Integrity, kesehatan ekosistem di DAS Cibanten sudah terganggu terutama di bagian tengah dan hilir.

Abstract

Sungai Cibanten merupakan salah satu sungai yang memiliki peranan penting di Provinsi Banten. Sungai ini memiliki hulu yang berlokasi di Situ Cibanten, Ciomas, Kabupaten Serang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi keberadaan, keanekaragaman dan keseragaman ikan di Sungai Cibanten. Pada penelitian ini, diperoleh ikan sebanyak 135 ekor ikan. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi spesies yang dilakukan, ikan – ikan tersebut berasal dari lima family ikan yaitu Cyprinidae, Loricariidae, Palaemonidae, Zenarchopteridae dan Penaeidae. Selain itu, diperoleh sejumlah tujuh spesies ikan termasuk satu ikan asing yaitu ikan sapu-sapu (Pterygoplichthys pardalis). Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa indek keanekaragaman, keseragaman dan dominasi pada seluruh titik sampling masih dalam kondisi normal. Namun demikian, dengan ditemukannya ikan sapu-sapu (P. pardalis) pada sistem Sungai Cibanten mungkin akan memiliki dampak negatif terhadap ekologi sungai. Penelitian lebih lanjut dibutuhkan untuk mengevaluasi lebih lanjut keberadaan ikan sapu-sapu dan ikan asing lainnya yang memiliki potensi bahaya terhadap ekologi Sungai Cibanten.
