Abstract

Stunting atau pendek merupakan masalah kurang gizi kronis yang mengakibatkan gangguan pertumbuhan pada anak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis hubungan faktor berat badan lahir, status ekonomi keluarga, tinggi badan ibu, dan pola asuh makan terhadap kejadian stunting pada anak usia 1-5 tahun. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian analitik dengan pendekatan Cross Sectional. Cara pengambilan sampel dengan Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling pada 192 responden. Analisa data: Chi Square dan Spearman Rank. Hasil analisa data dengan uji Spearman Rank menunjukkan ada hubungan berat badan lahir dengan kejadian stunting (ρ= 0,000), tidak ada hubungan pola asuh makan dengan kejadian stunting (ρ= 0,386). Analisa data dengan Chi Square menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan status ekonomi keluarga (ρ= 0,996), tinggi badan ibu (ρ= 0,723) dengan kejadian stunting.Tenaga Kesehatan diharapkan untuk mengoptimalkan pendampingan kepada anak yang lahir dengan berat lahir rendah

Abstract

Introduction: The condition of the child during hospitalisation can experience stress due to environmental changes. Child coping mechanism is very supportive of the adaptation process. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of family support system on coping mechanisms during hospitalisation. Methods: It was quasi-experimental with pre-test post-test with control group design. The study population was preschool children who were treated in the Hospital of Bangkalan, East Java Province, Indonesia. Total sample was 60 respondents in treatment and control group and obtained consecutive sampling. The variables were family support system and coping mechanism. Data collection used Children’s Coping Behavior questionnaire and tested by paired t-test. Results: The treatment group showed the coping mechanism was mostly maladaptive (mean=34.07) and after the intervention most of them had adaptive coping (mean=46.87). Whereas in the control group before the intervention, the coping mechanism was mostly maladaptive (mean=36.22) and after the intervention most of the coping groups had maladaptive coping (mean=36.74). Conclusion: Family support systems play an important role in improving the adaptive coping of preschool children during hospitalisation. Nurses should maximise family support as a strategy in interacting with children to enhance coping mechanisms to reduce the stress of hospitalisation.

Abstract

Introduction: COVID-19 is unprecedented, especially for parents with children aged 2-12 years old who are prone to infection due to their activities. The psychological condition of parents will be affected as they are worried about their children being infected with COVID-19.Methods: This study aims to identify and analyse the psychological aspects of parents who are caring for children during the COVID-19 pandemic.Results: The results showed that as many as 236 parents (80.9%) showed an emotional anxiety response. The social reaction to the COVID-19 situation was more likely to be a positive response (73.8%) rather than a negative response.Conclusion: The reactions that occur in parents who have pre-school and school-aged children regarding the COVID-19 were anxiety and worry. Reactions arise due to the information obtained being less verifiable, namely social media.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding production is the result of breast stimulation by the prolactin hormone produced by the anterior pituitary gland. If the baby sucks, the Exclusive breastfeeding will be removed from the lactiferous sinuses. The purpose of this study is to analyze differences on Exclusive breastfeeding production after consuming the banana infloresence. The design used in this study is one group pretest posttest design, independent variable isbanana infloresence and the dependent variable isthe production of exclusive breastfeeding. Population in study were all postpartum mothers who breastfeed on the first child (primi gravidarum) in Gertenga village POSKESDES Septian Eka K ST,r.keb Karang penang subdistrict Sampang as much as 10, a sample of 10 respondents, taking sample technique uses simple random sampling.Data retrieval uses questionnaire sheet and a paired Sample test Rank statistical test with α (0.05). The results showed that all of them (100%) suffered from non-smooth breastfeeding preoductionbefore being given banana infloresence drink and after being given banana infloresence drink almost all (80%) breast milk was smooth. Based on the statistical test paired Sample test Rank test results obtained p value (0.002) <α (0.05) then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected which means that there is a difference in exclusive breastfeeding production after consuming the banana infloresence. Suggestion for postpartum mothers who are breastfeeding who have not smooth exclusive breastfeeding production is to start getting used to consuming food or drinks that can facilitate the production of breastfeeding, one of them is the banana infloresence drink

Abstract

Sleep quality is a child's ability to sleep with good quality covering length, time, frequency of waking and depth and sleep reviews. Based on Preliminary study in the village of Gebbang Bangkalan District on 4th January 2020 there were 10 children, obtained data that 2 children have a good sleep quality, 2 children sleep quality enough, and 6 children including less sleep quality. The purpose of the study is to determine the effect of giving the aroma therapy to sleep quality in children aged 3-5 years. This research used Quasy Experiment design with a two group pre-test-post test design approach. The Variable Independennya Relaxation technique murotal al-Qur'an and giving aroma therapy for roses while The dependent variable was sleep quality. The population number was18 children with a sample of 9 students of the treatment group and 9 students of the control group are taken non-probability purposive sampling. This research was conducted in the village of Gebbang Dusun, Bangkalan regency. In April 2020 and a statistical test used the Wilcoxon test with a = 0.05. The results of the research get that on the treatment group of sleep quality in children aged 3-5 years based on the Wilcoxon statistical test showed that p value = 0.008, while in the control group that is not given Murotal al-Qur'an and aroma therapy Bungan rose shows the results that p value = 0.397, Mann-Whitney test shows the results that p value = 0.001, so that it can be concluded that there is a therapeutic influence Murotal al-Qur'an and the aroma of rose therapy to sleep quality in children aged 3-5 years. Based on this research it is advisable for parents to play Murotal al-Qur'an and do the aroma therapy, performed at night when the child is asleep, to improve the sleep quality of children aged 3-5 years in the village of Gebbang Hamlet, Bangkalan Regency.

Abstract

Baby care is an action taken to care for and maintain the healt of the baby,as well as fulfill the basic needs of the baby. Based on the results of the preliminary study conducted at BPS Luk Luatun Mubrikoh S.ST. On December 10th,2018 on 10 postpartum mother there were 4 postpartum mother (40%) who lacked the ability to care for newborns.The purpose of the study is to determine the factors correlations with care of newborns.This study was an analytical study with a cross sectional approach. Independent variables of this study were experiences,beliefs,ages,peers role, dependent variable was the ability of newborns care. The study population were 47 postpartum mothers and the samples taken were 42 postpartum mothers with purposive sampling technique. Data collection using a questionnaire. The result of the study were tabulated and then bivariate analysis was performed with the spearman rank statistical test α (0,05). This reaserch has carried out ethical clearance test by the KEPK of the STIKes Ngudia Husada Madura.The results showed that most (54.8%) postpartum mothers had sufficient experience, half (50,0%) mothers had moderate confidence, half the age of early adult mothers (50.0%) the majority (61,9%) mother have sufficient peer roles, half (50,0%) of the ability to care for newborns was good. The results of the study used Spearman rank (ρ=0.006<α=0.05), (ρ=0.007<α=0.05) ,(ρ=0.002<α=0.05) and (ρ=0.003<α=0.05), meaning that there was a relationship between experience,belief,ages and peer role with the ability to care for newborns. Based on the results of this studyit is expected that health workers provide counseling about neborn care and convincing ways to prepare for the role being a mother for the age of marriage should be above 20 years, this aims to improve the ability of newborn care at home

Abstract

The role of parents is the acceptance of the child's condition and provides participation in care.The form of participation is that parents are expected to live with children, behave well and be involved in care. Based on the results of the preliminary study found that 4 parents had a good role in child care at the hospital, and 5 parents had sufficient roles in child care at the hospital, while 1 parent had a lack role in child care in the hospital.The purpose of the study is to analyze the relationship between the role of nurses in the application of Family Centered Care (Empowering and Enabling) and the role of parents in caring for children who are sick aged 4-6 years at the hospital.The research design used was analytical, namely with a cross sectional approach. The independent variable in this study was the role of nurses in Empowering and Enabling (Family Centered Care) and the dependent variable in this study was the role of parents in the care of sick children.The total population were 80 respondents and the sample size were 67 respondents. The technique of taking used simple random sampling, the instrument used was a questionnaire and the statistical test used was Spearman Rank with a significance value of α 0.05.This research as been carried out ethical clearance test by the KEPK Ngudia Husada Madura. The results of the 67 respondents found the role of nurses with the role of parents has a value of p value of 0.030 <0.05, with a value of r = 0.266 so H1 wasaccepted there was a relationship between the two variables. The results of this study are expected to be more maximal role of nurses in enabling parents in the process of caring for their children while being hospitalized so that the impact on the role of parents in caring for their children during hospital

Abstract

Nutritional care is a food intake to support physical and biological growth and development, toddlers in an appropriate and balanced pattern of child care in the form of behavior of mothers or other caregivers in terms of proximity to children, providing food, caring, hygiene, giving love and so on. Based on a preliminary study of in the village of Camplong data obtained from 10 there were 7 (70%) mothers did not play a good role in improving nutrition parenting in infants, there were 3 (30%) mothers had a good role in improving nutrition parenting in infants, the purpose of the study is to analyze maternal assistance in improving nutritional care for toddlers who are suffering from malnutrition This research used Quasy Experiment Design with two group pre-test-post test design approach. The independent variable was mother's assistance while the dependent variable was Nutritional care in toddlers who experience malnutrition. Total population of 26 mothers who have undernourished infants with 13 samples of the treatment group and 13 control group mothers taken by simple random sampling. This research was conducted in the Camplong public Health Center in March 2020 and tested statistically using the Wilcoxon test with a = 001. This research used Quasy Experiment Design with two group pre-test-post test design approach. The independent variable was mother's assistance while the dependent variable was Nutritional care in toddlers who experience malnutrition. Total population of 26 mothers who have undernourished infants with 13 samples of the treatment group and 13 control group mothers taken by simple random sampling. This research was conducted in the Camplong public Health Center in March 2020 and tested statistically using the Wilcoxon test with a = 001. The results of this study found that toddlers who experienced undernutrition after being given assistance obtained an increase in nutritional care for mothers by 13 mothers (100%). Based on the Wilcoxon statistical test an increase in nutrition parenting showed that p value = 001, so that it can be concluded that there was an effect of maternal assistance in improving nutritional care for toddlers who experience malnutrition in the working area of the Camplong Sampang Public health center. It is recommended to mothers to improve nutrition in their toddlers by providing nutritious toddlers with nutritious food according to their needs, attention to processing, serving, types of foods suitable for toddlers to improve the nutritional status of toddlers, especially in toddlers who experience undernourished nutrition.

Abstract

Belief is a belief in something that causes certain behavior. Ideally, mothers have high confidence in providing stimulation, which is an activity that stimulates the basic abilities of children aged 0-6 years, so that children grow and develop. Based on the results of a preliminary study conducted at Al Hidayah Kindergarten, Bangkalan Regency using a confidence questionnaire to 10 mothers, it was found that 5 (50%) mothers had low confidence in the stimulation of growth and development. This study aims to analyze the relationship between mother's cultural background, knowledge, experience and mother's belief in stimulating child growth and development. The research design was analytic with a retrospective study approach. The independent variables are the mother's cultural background, knowledge and experience. The dependent variable is the mother's belief. The population is 32 respondents and the sample is 30 respondents. Using probability samples method by simple random sampling. The research instrument used a questionnaire measuring instrument. Statistical test using spearman rank with = 0.05. This research has conducted an ethical feasibility test with No: 908/KEPK/STIKES- NHM/EC/III/2021 The results of statistical tests with the Spearman rank test p-value of 0.023, which means that there is a relationship between cultural background and mother's beliefs. The results of the statistical test with the Spearman rank test p-value 0.000, which means that there is a relationship between Knowledge and Mother's belief. The results of statistical tests with the Spearman rank test p-value 0.000, which means that there is a relationship between experience and mother's belief. The results of this study are expected to be able to increase mother's confidence through increased knowledge by actively seeking information through health education, and mothers to be more selective in choosing positive experiences and cultural backgrounds in increasing mother's confidence in providing growth and development stimulation.

Abstract

The health protocol is a series of rules issued by the government through the ministry of health in regulating the safety of activities during the Covid-19 pandemic by wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, staying away from crowds, and reducing mobility. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between knowledge about Covid-19 and the application of health protocols in children aged 10-12 years. This study used a cross-sectional design. The study population was 181 and a sample of 123 respondents using the Stratified Random Sampling technique. The research instrument uses a questionnaire with the Spearman rank test. The results showed that most of the respondents had less knowledge as many as 49 people with a percentage of 39.8%, most of the respondents did not implement health protocols as many as 54 people with a percentage of 43.9%. Analyzed with the Spearman rank test there was a relationship between knowledge about Covid-19 prevention and the application of health protocols for children aged 10-12 years. It is recommended that children increase their knowledge about Covid-19 prevention so that they can implement good health protocols to protect themselves and others from the dangers of Covid-19.
