Abstract

Nuryenti, et al. Content of Hara N, P, K on Gawangan and Harvest Road Oil Palm Plantation. JLSO 5(2):219-224. Differences in the location of oil palm plantations cause differences in nutrient content contained in the soil. This study aims to analyze the nutrient content of N, P, K of soil on gawangan and harvest road in PT. Sawit Mas Sejahtera. The method used is a detailed survey method with an observed area of 3 ha. Soil analysis results in nutrient content of N, P, K on harvest road showed higher yield compared to gawangan. N-total value on gawangan 0.11% and 0.16%  harvest road, P-bray value on gawangan 6.15 ppm and 15 ppm harvest road, K-dd value on gawangan 0.10 me/100 g and 0.41 me/100 g harvest road. Soil pH on harvest road and gawangan is a very low pH soil ranging from 3.84 to 4.22. Palm oil production may increase by adding calcification first before the application of N, P, K fertilizer especially on harvest road to improve soil fertility and produce optimal production.

Abstract

Pujiastuti Y, SHK Suparman, Sulistyani DP. 2021. Patogenicity of entomopathogenic Bacillus thuringiensis isolated from Spodoptera litura against Plutella xylostella larvae (Lepidoptera:Plutellidae). In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-9 Tahun 2021, Palembang  20 Oktober 2021. pp. 621-627. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI). Diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella is an important insect pest on plants belong to Brassicaceae family. Symptoms of attack is hollow leaves and leave dirt on them. If it is not controlled, the yield loss can reach 80%. Control by using biological agents entomopathogenic bacteria Bacillus thuringiensis may be used to reduce the population of P. xylostella. The purpose of research was to study the pathogenicity of B. thuringiensis isolated from cadaver of  Spodoptera litura against P. xylostella larvae in the laboratory. The treatments were two isolates of B. thuringiensis encoded  SlBt01 and SLBt03. The experiment was designed with a completely randomized design  (CRD) separated between isolates. The treatment consisted of 5 treatments (including control) spore density and 5 replications. Observations were mortality rate and time of death of the test larvae. Results showed the highest mortality was in isolate SlBT01 (61.73%)  and in isolate SlBt03 (56.66%). The lowest LT50 values of isolates SlBt01 and SLBt03 were 9.78 days and 9.14 days, respectively. Symptoms of infection in Plutella larvae are changes in body color and eventually die with symptoms of wet rot.

Abstract

Sulistyani DP, Napoleon A, Hermawan A, Bakri B, Warsito W, Riza MFR.  2022. Liquid organic fertilizer (Poc) from tofu liquid waste with banana hump decomposer in pokcay plant growth. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-10 Tahun 2022, Palembang  27 Oktober 2022. pp. 129-135.  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Tofu liquid waste can be used as a new alternative that can be used as liquid organic fertilizer because in the tofu liquid waste it has various nutrients needed for the plant growth process. Based on the research, it shows that the nutrient content in tofu liquid waste before and after liquid fertilizer is made does not meet the standard of liquid fertilizer. To improve the quality of tofu liquid waste as liquid fertilizer, one of them is the addition of local microorganisms (MOL) from banana hump. The specific purpose of the study was to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer from tofu liquid waste with the addition of a banana hump decomposer on pokcay plants. Liquid organic fertilizer is one of the efforts to improve the physical and chemical properties of the soil, one of which is Ultisol, so it is expected to increase the growth of pokcay plants to be applied. Ultisols include soils that have very low nutrients and high soil acidity. Poor macronutrient content. Therefore, researchers made efforts so that ultisols could increase the availability of soil nutrients. Liquid organic fertilizer has many advantages, namely the ease of application to soil and plants, which only needs to be watered. The results showed that there was an effect of the dose of liquid organic fertilizer sprinkled on the soil planted with pokcay on the growth, namely plant height, number of leaves, leaf green level, wet weight and dry weight.
