Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of self efficacy on students' mathematical communication skills through learning using the SPSS application. The use of SPSS applications in learning, specifically in Education Statistics courses supports for students in subject matter. This research is a correlation approach. All students of Semester VII Mathematics Education at the Universitas Muslim Nusantara Al Washliyah be population in this study. By using a sample of research in Semester VII-A Academic Year 2019/2020. The research instrument consisted of tests of mathematical communication skills and self efficacy questionnaires. Tests and questionnaires were provided after the learning process using the SPSS application. This research analyzed by using regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the correlation value of 0.660 means that it is a strong ability for students' mathematical communication skills. And the regression equation is Y = 0,62X + 66,571.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap teorema sifat-sifat aljabar. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Universitas Muslim Nusantara Al-Washliyah Medan Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Semester 6A yang berjumlah sebanyak 37 orang mahasiswa. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini berupa tes sebanyak 3 butir soal. Sumber data yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian analisis ini yaitu hasil tes responden terkait pembuktian matematik dan sumber responden yang dipilih didasarkan pada kriteria yang dipenuhinya. Kemudian hasil penelitian ini memperoleh kesimpulan bahwa, pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap teorema dan sifat-sifat aljabar bilangan real dilihat dari segi aspek kesesuaian data memiliki persentase sebesar 60,20%, aspek prosedur yang tepat sebesar 45,33%, aspek kelengkapan data sebesar 52,76%, dan aspek kesimpulan akhir memiliki persentase sebesar 59,46.

Abstract

Universitas Muslim Nusantara Al Washliyah sudah memiliki lisensi Autograph. Namun, masih ada mahasiswa yang belum mengenal atau menggunakan software Autograph. Oleh karena itu, mahasiswa perlu diajarkan dengan software Autograph yang dapat mempermudah dalam proses belajar mengajar khususnya pada mata kuliah Geometri Analitik Bidang. Pembelajaran kooperatif tipe two stay two stray (TSTS) merupakan salah satu pembelajaran yang menuntut mahasiswa lebih aktif. Dalam pembelajaran TSTS mahasiswa terdiri dari 2 orang yang tinggal di kelompoknya dan 2 menjadi tamu ke kelompok lain. Dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TSTS berbasis Aoutograph dapat meningkatkan self efficacy matematis. Metode penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester III Pendidikan Matematika di Universitas Muslim Nusantara Al Washliyah dan sampenya 30 orang mahasiswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket self efficacy matematis. Analisis dalam penelitian ini akan di analisis dengan uji t. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diperoleh nilai t hitung 3,479 lebih dan t tabel 2,003. Karena t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel, maka terdapat peningkatan self efficacy matematis dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe two stay two stray berbasis Autograph.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities and self-regulated learning through guided discovery learning for class VII students of MTs Alwashliyah Gedung Johor Medan. This research is an experimental study with a pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were all class VII students, totaling 42 students. The instrument used is a mathematical problem-solving ability test and a learning independence questionnaire. This study indicates that the average value of the initial test of problem-solving ability is 43.05, and the average value of the final test of learning independence is 57.55. The average value of the initial questionnaire for learning independence was 63.88, and the average value of the final questionnaire was 70.76. The results of the Mathematical Problem Solving Ability test's hypothesis test with t-count = 10,073 and t-table = 1,66 so that t-count > t-table. The Independent Learning Questionnaire hypothesis results with t-count = 3.53 and t-table = 1.66 so that t-count > t-table. The result shows that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is an increase in mathematical problem-solving abilities and student learning independence through guided discovery learning before and after being given treatment.

Abstract

Mathematical communication ability of collegers can differ based on the learning model applied. The peer teaching model and CTL are models that can be used as alternatives to see the differences in collegers' mathematical communication ability. The difference in the abilities of these students can not only be seen from the choice of models but also based on gender. Gender can be a benchmark for determining understanding of mathematical communication. The study intends to look at differences in understanding of collegers' mathematical communication based on gender and presence or absence a relationship of peer teaching and CTL with gender on understanding of collegers' mathematical communication. This type of research is a quasi experiment with the research sample involving two classes. The first class applies the peer teaching model while the second class applies the CTL model. The research data came from a test of collegers' mathematical communication skills. Analysis of research data in the form of descriptive analysis and inferential analysis using Two-Way ANOVA. Research proves that there are differences in collegers 'understanding of mathematical communication based on gender and there is no relationship between peer teaching and CTL with gender on collegers' understanding of mathematical communication. Male collegers are better able to communicate mathematical in written form in written text 52% and mathematical expressions 54% while female collegers are better able to communicate in drawings 55%.

Abstract

This study aims to improve mathematical problem-solving skills through a realistic approach, to determine the Mastery of learning mathematics and student responses to learning with a realistic approach. This type of research is classroom action research with the subject of class VIII MTs Saifullah Islamic Boarding School, carried out in 2 cycles. Data retrieval is done by testing problem-solving skills and student responses. The results showed that problem-solving ability has increased. This can be seen from the classical completeness of the student's problem-solving ability test from the initial examination. Cycle 1 and cycle 2 are 5 (25%) students who complete the initial test, 12 (60%) students who complete cycle 1, and 17 (85%) students who complete cycle 2. The conclusion is the students' mathematical problem-solving abilities have increased through a realistic approach, Mastery of mathematics students' learning has increased through a realistic approach, and student responses to learning with a realistic approach to number pattern material are very good.

Abstract

SMP Swasta Pembangunan merupakan salah satu lembaga pendidikan yang berstatus kepemilikan yayasan. SMP Swasta Pembangunan terletak di Kec. Patumbak Kab. Deli Serdang. Tujuan dilakukan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah untuk mensosialisasikan media pembelajaran permainan lego dalam meningkatkan pemahaman matematika siswa pada materi pecahan. Adapun permasalahan yang dihadapi sekolah yaitu kurangnya pengetahuan guru tentang media pembelajaran atau alat peraga yang dapat digunakan selama pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran matematika. Peserta pada kegiatan sosialisasi adalah seluruh guru-guru SMP Swasta Pembangunan. Alat ukur untuk mengukur tingkat keberhasilan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yaitu angket pemahaman peserta. Langkah-langkah pelaksanaan yaitu diawali dengan melakukan persiapan, pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat, refleksi dan evaluasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis persentase tingkat pemahaman peserta terhadap media pembelajaran permainan lego dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada materi pecahan sebesar 86,67% dengan kategori baik. Persentase ini menunjukan bahwa tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM UMN AW yaitu sosialisasi media pembelajaran permainan lego dalam meningkatkan pemahaman matematika siswa pada materi pecahan di SMP Swasta Pembangunan telah tercapai.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada soal cerita matematika menggunakan model PBL berbasis media realistik dan pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini dilaksankan di SMP Muhammadiyah 25 Rantauprapat tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah penelitian quasi eksperimen. Dalam penelitian ini terbagi dua kelas, kelas ekperimen dan kelas kontrol. Pada kelas eksperimen, siswa menggunakan model PBL berbasis media realistik dan kelas kontrol menerapkan metode konvensional. Dalam menganalisis penelitian ini menggunaka uji t. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini di peroleh t hitung = 3,97 dan t tabel = 2,00. Karena t hitung > t tabel, maka peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa yang menggunakan model PBL berbasis media realitik lebih tinggi dari siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional

Abstract

The researchis quasi experiment research. The researsch aims to determine the effect of guided discovery learning method to mathematical problem solving ability. Population in this study were SMP Swasta 2 TAMORA, and the sampel is IX-1 class students. The instrument in the research is the test of mathematical probling solving ability. The result of the research were analyzed by correlation test is 0,701. And thitung 4,610 > ttabel 2,07, so there is the significant influence between guided discovery learning on students’ mathematical problem solving ability. Abstract

The destination and goal of this research is whether the Wizer.me-based blended learning model can successfully improve mathematical literacy skills. The design of this article is the pretest and posttest control groups. The article used by the researcher is a quasi-experimental type. The instrument applied is an essay test and the process of taking part of the members is random. All members of the school used are class VII SMP Negeri 23 Medan which has 6 classes. Some of the members or samples studied were from students in room VII-A totaling 25 people and room VII-B totaling 25 people. To analyze the data by calculating the mean, normality of the data, homogeneity the data, hypotesis testing and analysis of the student's answer process. From the results obtained that all data analysis of students in class VII-A who were given treatment was higher than students in class VII-B who were not treated, namely 9.2 > 5.8. The conclusion is that the Wizer.me-based blended learning model improves students' mathematical literacy skills.
