Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh pendekatan pembelajaran matematika realistik (PMR) terhadap konvensional (PK), (2) bagaimana motivasi belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan pendekatan PMR dan motivasi belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan PK. Penelitian ini merupakan quasi eksperimen. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VIII MTs Nurul Hakim. Variabel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari variabel bebas yaitu PMR dan PK, sedangkan variabel terikat yaitu motivasi belajar matematika. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive Sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket motivasi belajar matematika. Analisis data menggunakan ANAVA dua jalur dan analisis secara desriptif. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan menggunakan Anava dua jalur yaitu 0,00 < 0,05 artinya pengaruh pendekatan PMR terhadap motivasi belajar matematika lebih baik dari pada yang diajar menggunakan PK. Sedangkan  secara deskriptif  motivasi belajar matematika siswa menggunakan pendekatan PMR memiliki persentase lebih besar yaitu 85% dari motivasi belajar matematika siswa menggunakan PK sebesar 79%.

Abstract

Education as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic has undergone transformation related to the learning process from face-to-face learning process to online-based learning process that utilizes various online platforms, such as WhatsApp, YouTube, and Zoom Meetings. The use of online platforms helps students to improve their cognitive skills, one of which is statistical skills. This study aims to determine whether there is a significant statistical difference between learning using WhatsApp, YouTube, and Zoom Meetings during online learning and to find out which online platforms are effective and interactive. The research sample consisted of 69 students taking statistics courses. The research method is mix-method or mix of quantitative and qualitative. The data collection techniques are online-based test instruments, questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis used Kruskal Wallis test and descriptive analysis test. The results showed that there were differences in students' statistical skills between the three classes, where the best came from learning using YouTube platform. The findings also show that students give higher positive responses to the use of YouTube as platform in online learning. The interview results show that the use of YouTube is more effective and interactive for students while participating in online-based learning. By that means, YouTube platform is effective in improving statistical skills in online learning.

Abstract

Research is aimed to know the influence of the scientific learning approach to the character unification of students character. This research was conducted at MTs Nurul Hakim. This type of associative research, the dependent variable is the character of students, the independent variable is the scientific learning approach. The research instrument was a student character questionnaire and a scientific learning approach questionnaire. Data analysis technique is descriptive analysis, simple regression analysis. The results obtained by description of the average score is 26.35 with a standard deviation of 1.3485. Hypothesis testing results obtained Fcount ≥ Ftable or 6.975> 3.59 means that there is an influence of the scientific learning approach to the formation of student characters, while the results of the regression analysis are each additional 1% level of the scientific approach (X) then the character of students (Y1) will increase by 0.303 with the consistent value of student characters is 19.796 so the regression equation is Y = 19.796 + 0.303 X

Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi matematika merupakan suatu kemampuan yang tidak hanya menyatakan ide tertulis melainkan suatu kemampuan menjelaskan, mendengar, bertanya, menggambarkan dan bekerja sama untuk memecahkan suatu masalah matematika. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui jawaban siswa berdasarkan indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematika. Pendekatan penelitian adalah pendekatakan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif yaitu mendeskripsikan menggambarkan hasil jawaban siswa secara keseluruhan berdasarkan indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematika. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs. Nurul Hakim. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa sebanyak 3 soal. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan secara umum menunjukan siswa MTs Nurul Hakim mampu menyelesaikan masalah berdasarkan indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematika sebesar 83,13% atau kategori tinggi.

Abstract

This study aims to improve mathematical problem-solving skills through a realistic approach, to determine the Mastery of learning mathematics and student responses to learning with a realistic approach. This type of research is classroom action research with the subject of class VIII MTs Saifullah Islamic Boarding School, carried out in 2 cycles. Data retrieval is done by testing problem-solving skills and student responses. The results showed that problem-solving ability has increased. This can be seen from the classical completeness of the student's problem-solving ability test from the initial examination. Cycle 1 and cycle 2 are 5 (25%) students who complete the initial test, 12 (60%) students who complete cycle 1, and 17 (85%) students who complete cycle 2. The conclusion is the students' mathematical problem-solving abilities have increased through a realistic approach, Mastery of mathematics students' learning has increased through a realistic approach, and student responses to learning with a realistic approach to number pattern material are very good.

Abstract

SD Negeri 101809 Ajibaho terletak di Kecamatan Biru-BIru Kabupaten Deli Serdang. SD Negeri 101809 memiliki jumlah guru sebanyak 12 orang dan sudah menerapkan pembelajaran tematik. Namun dalam penerapannya guru mengalami beberapa permasalahan diantaranya yaitu guru belum mampu melaksanakan pembelajaran tematik secara maksimal serta penilaian pembelajaran tematik. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut menjadi fokus utama akademisi untuk melakuka kegiatan sosialisasi pembelajaran tematik yang akan membantu menyelesaikan permasalahan bagi guru-guru SD Negeri 101809 Ajibaho. Berdasarkan kondisi yang terjadi di lapangan dilakukan sosialisasi dengan 3 tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Tahapan tersebut meliputi menyampaikan materi pembelajaran tematik dan bagaimana pelaksanaannya dalam kelas. Selanjutnya, guru dituntut untuk dapat membuat Silabus dan RPP. Sehingga, dapat menerapkan pembelajaran di kelas dan melihat perkembangan hasil belajar siswa dengan pembelajaran. Sosialisasi ini bertujuan: (1) guru mampu mempersiapkan pembelajaran tematik di kelas, (2) guru mampu menyelesaikan permasalahan pelaksanaan pembelajaran tematik, (3) guru mampu melakukan penilaian pembelajaran tematik.

Abstract

SMP Swasta Pembangunan merupakan salah satu lembaga pendidikan yang berstatus kepemilikan yayasan. SMP Swasta Pembangunan terletak di Kec. Patumbak Kab. Deli Serdang. Tujuan dilakukan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah untuk mensosialisasikan media pembelajaran permainan lego dalam meningkatkan pemahaman matematika siswa pada materi pecahan. Adapun permasalahan yang dihadapi sekolah yaitu kurangnya pengetahuan guru tentang media pembelajaran atau alat peraga yang dapat digunakan selama pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran matematika. Peserta pada kegiatan sosialisasi adalah seluruh guru-guru SMP Swasta Pembangunan. Alat ukur untuk mengukur tingkat keberhasilan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yaitu angket pemahaman peserta. Langkah-langkah pelaksanaan yaitu diawali dengan melakukan persiapan, pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat, refleksi dan evaluasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis persentase tingkat pemahaman peserta terhadap media pembelajaran permainan lego dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada materi pecahan sebesar 86,67% dengan kategori baik. Persentase ini menunjukan bahwa tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM UMN AW yaitu sosialisasi media pembelajaran permainan lego dalam meningkatkan pemahaman matematika siswa pada materi pecahan di SMP Swasta Pembangunan telah tercapai.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe students' mathematical creative thinking skills and to find out the causes of students' low mathematical creative thinking skills in number pattern material. This descriptive study uses qualitative methods that provide an overview of student's creative thinking skills in solving mathematical problems. The data collection technique used is a test technique using 20 questions of an early mathematical ability test, four questions of a mathematical creative thinking ability test, and interviews. The indicators of mathematical creative thinking skills are fluency, originality, flexibility, and elaboration. Data analysis found that subjects with high, medium, and low abilities could only meet two indicators: fluency and elaboration. Subjects with high abilities were categorized into the criteria for creative thinking skills with a percentage of 62.5%. Meanwhile, students with moderate abilities are categorized into the criteria for creative thinking skills with a percentage of 50%, and students with low abilities are categorized into the criteria for less creative thinking abilities with 25%.
