Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of students' ability in understanding concepts so that it has an impact on students in learning mathematics. Because the ability to understand concepts is the basis of understanding principles and theories with the aim of making it easier for students to understand concepts in subsequent material in studying mathematics. One of the factors of the lack of students' ability to understand concepts is math anxiety which has a large influence on student learning processes, both at school and on the student's environment. This study aims to find out how students' conceptual understanding abilities are viewed from mathematics anxiety in the implementation of learning in class VII SMP Negeri 1 Mazo. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at Mazo 1 Public Middle School with a total of 35 research informants. Data collection techniques through written tests, student math anxiety questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it shows that there are students who have the ability to understand mathematical concepts with high anxiety, moderate and low anxiety. Students with high anxiety still cannot solve the test questions in a structured way due to a lack of focus and feeling a little anxious. students who are anxious are students who are good at completing test questions coherently, it's just that there are some that are not done. Students who are low on anxiety, students are able to solve test questions that are given in a structured way because students are calm and don't feel anxious when facing math problems, it's just that they can't finish up to the final result, so that this can have an impact on student learning. So in this case the ability to understand concepts with math anxiety is that the higher the level of students' math anxiety, the lower the students' ability to understand mathematical concepts. Conversely, the lower the students' math anxiety level, the higher the students' understanding of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

The background of this research is the researcher's observations about the learning process and learning outcomes that occur at UPTD SMPN 1 Gunungsitoli Idanoi. This study intends to obtain information or a clear picture of how the learning process is carried out in this school with the learning outcomes achieved by class VIII students. This type of research is a qualitative research using a descriptive approach research method. The research population was all students of class VIII which consisted of seven classes with twenty students in each class. Data was collected through interviews, documentation, observation of the learning process. Then, it is analyzed by the percentage of the learning process and learning outcomes presented in tabular form. The data analysis used consisted of data collection, data presentation, data triangulation, and conclusions. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the average percentage of observations of the learning process is 74.01% which is quite good with an average learning result of 73.98 which is quite satisfactory.

Abstract

The background of this research is based on the results of a preliminary study conducted by researchers at SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Idanoi. Problems were found, namely student learning outcomes in mathematics were still sufficient and students were less active in the learning process. The purpose of this research is to: Describe the results of learning Mathematics in the cognitive field using the Number Head Together model. This type of research is a quantitative research. The instrument used in this study was a test of student learning outcomes in the form of an essay test. The research data obtained was processed by describing the test results of the learning outcomes obtained from each student's answer sheet. The research results obtained: Based on the results of data analysis from the research that has been done, it can be concluded that: the results of learning mathematics in the cognitive field using the Number Head Together (NHT) learning model are very good categories of 46.8%, good categories of 40.7% , the adequate category is 9.4% and less is 3.1%. Overall, the results of learning Mathematics in the cognitive field of students reached the very good category, with an overall achievement of 87.5% being in the very good category.

Abstract

The problems in this study are the lack of students' understanding of the material presented during ongoing learning and the use of instructional media which is limited to blackboards and other relevant sources. The aims of this study were: to know the validity, to know the practicality, to know the effectiveness of RME-based prezi learning media in class VIII SMP Cartesian coordinate material in the learning process. This research is a development research using the ADDIE development model which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The instrument used is a validation questionnaire which includes aspects of content feasibility, presentation feasibility, and design feasibility, student response questionnaires, and assessment of the practicality of learning media. Research result; (1) media content validity achieved an average rating of 4.94 with very valid criteria, language validity achieved an average result of 4.75 with very valid criteria, and design validity achieved an average value of 4.79 with very valid criteria. (2) the practicality of prezi learning media based on individual tests reaches a percentage of 91% with very practical criteria, small group tests reach a percentage of 87.11% with very practical criteria, field tests reach a percentage of 91.06% with very practical criteria, (3) the effectiveness of prezi learning media achieving an average student score of 81 with very effective criteria.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts on the competence of rational and irrational inequalities through the application of the discovery learning model. The research method used is quantitative method with discovery learning approach, the subject of this research is X TKJ class students of SMK Negeri 1 Tuhemberua. This research took place in two cycles, namely cycle I consisting of 3 meetings and cycle II consisting of 3 meetings. Data collection techniques in this study were observation and objective tests. The instruments used were observation sheets and objective test questions. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the implementation of mathematics learning with the application of the discovery learning model can improve the understanding of mathematical concepts of class X TKJ students of SMK Negeri 1 Tuhemberua on the competence of rational and irrational inequality of one variable. This is based on data obtained through the results of cycle I tests and cycle II tests, the average percentage of students' understanding of mathematical concepts has increased by 15.67%, namely in cycle I of 66.28% and increased to 77.81% in cycle II. The conclusion in this study is that the average percentage of students' understanding of mathematical concepts has increased in cycle I and increased again in cycle II. Based on the qualification guidelines in the percentage table presented in the discussion section, it is classified in the high category. Abstract

This research is based on the results of observations and interviews with teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Ulu Idanotae where researchers obtained information that the ability to understand students' concepts was low, making it difficult for students to explain math problems, this is evidenced by the average student test scores. only around 59 with sufficient category. This study aims to find out how students' understanding abilities when using the Contextual Teaching and Learning model. This type of research is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The research design used is the One-Shot Case Study. The research instrument used was a test of the ability to understand mathematical concepts. The number of population in this study is 215 people with a large sample of 36 people taken using nonprobability sampling with purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of the research, after learning in class using the Contextual Teaching and Learning learning model, it was obtained that the average ability to understand students' mathematical concepts was 75.38 which was in the good category. This is inversely proportional to the average ability to understand students' mathematical concepts when making initial observations, which were only around 59 in the sufficient category. It can be shown that the mathematical understanding ability of students at SMA Negeri 1 Ulu Idanotae increased when learning was implemented using the Contextual Teaching and Learning model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan masalah bahwa peserta didik Kelas X SMK Negeri 1 Namohalu Esiwa mengalami hambatan dalam proses pembelajaran karena bahan ajar yang digunakan proses pembelajaran terbatas dan tidak tersedianya bahan ajar berupa LKPD. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model Plomp. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, LKPD yang dikembangkan telah teruji valid oleh validator ahli materi sebesar 97,69%, ahli bahasa sebesar 100%, dan ahli desain sebesar 100%. Persentase rata-rata kevalidan LKPD adalah 98,43% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Selanjutnya, LKPD juga telah teruji praktis digunakan oleh peserta didik dengan persentase sebesar 91,64% dan hasil persentase kepraktisan dari guru sebesar 93,81%. Persentase rata-rata kepraktisan LKPD adalah 92,36% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. LKPD juga efektif digunakan dengan persentase ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 89,04%. Dari hasil penelitian di atas, maka LKPD yang dikembangkan dengan berbasis realistic mathematics education sudah memenuhi harapan atau tujuan penelitian.

Abstract

Matematika merupakan mata pelajaran yang penting dikuasai oleh siswa disekolah. Namun kenyataannya siswa SMP Negeri 2 Hiliduho masih megalami hambatan dalam memecahkan masalah matematis karena proses pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Sehingga siswa tidak mampu menjawab pertanyaan yang diberikan oleh guru. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh model pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMP Negeri 2 Hiliduho. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Model pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah model Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR).Tahap pertama pada model pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) adalah Auditory berarti belajar dengan mendengar, tahap kedua yaitu Intellectually berarti menunjukkan apa yang siswa lakukan di pikiran mereka ketika mereka menggunakan kecerdasan untuk memikirkan pengalaman dan membuat koneksi, makna, rencana dan nilai dari pengalaman dan tahap ketiga yaitu Repetition adalah pengulangan yang berarti pendalaman, perluasan dan penguatan dengan cara mengajar siswa melalui tugas atau kuis. Selanjutnya, hasil penelitian ini diperoleh berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis, yaitu thitung = 11,30 dan ttabel = 1,68. Karena thitung = 11,30 > ttabel = 1,68, maka tolak Ho dan terima Ha, yang berarti: “Ada pengaruh model pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa”. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembalajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) memiliki pengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dari hasil pengamatan peneliti selama melaksanakan program magang di SMP Negeri 1 Gido dan ditemukan bahwa prestasi belajar matematika siswa masih dibawah KKM dan adanya perbedaan gaya belajar serta kurangnya motivasi belajar siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan dan mendeskripsikan hubungan antara gaya belajar dan motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar matematika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket gaya belajar, angket motivasi belajar dan tes prestasi belajar matematika. Banyaknya populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu 292 dengan sampel yaitu 292 orang yang di ambil dengan menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh pada hipotesis pertama, nilai Zhitung (3,04) > Ztabel (1,96). Dengan demikian maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, yang mana semakin tinggi tingkat gaya belajar siswa maka semakin tinggi prestasi belajar siswa begitu pun sebaliknya. Pada hipotesis kedua, nilai Zhitung (4,09) > Ztabel (1,96). Dengan demikian maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, yang mana semakin tinggi tingkat motivasi belajar siswa maka semakin tinggi prestasi belajar siswa begitu pun sebaliknya. Pada hipotesis ketiga, nilai Zhitung (2,41) > Ztabel (1,96). Dengan demikian maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, yang mana semakin tinggi tingkat gaya belajar siswa maka semakin tinggi motivasi belajar siswa begitu pun sebaliknya. Pada hipotesis keempat, nilai Fhitung (23,29) > Ftabel (3,02). Dengan demikian maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima dengan besar koefisien determinasi = 0,146. Kedua variabel bebas bersama-sama memiliki hubungan dengan variabel terikat dengan persentase 14,6%.

Abstract

This research is based on a preliminary study conducted by researchers, found problems, namely (1) Mathematics is often considered a difficult subject to understand (2) Mathematics is a subject that is considered the most difficult, most boring and often considered the most difficult subject. scary and (3) the number of complaints from students about math lessons that are difficult, uninteresting and boring. study aims to describe the study of problem solving learning models on the motivation to learn mathematics whether or not it can improve mathematics learning outcomes. This type of research is library research (Library Research). Widiasworo, (2018:30) said "Library research methods are included in one type of research method based on the place of research. Based on the results of this study, the researcher suggests that in the learning process, the study of problem solving learning models should be used on the motivation to learn mathematics so that student learning outcomes can increase.
