Abstract

Voting or more commonly called voting is one method that is used by humans to make choices, decisions in a matter. In Indonesia alone voting is often used in the election of leaders such as the president, student council president and at the head of the organization. In the election in Petra itself there were many problems such as ballot paper folds for voting, long time duration on vote preparation and vote counting. In this case, the most affected by this problem is the election committee because it takes a long time and preparations with a lot of labor needs have not been added to by human error which can cause loss to many parties. It can be concluded that the problem is how to vote by using paper that is efficient and does not take a long time and how everyone only makes one vote once.To answer this problem, an electronic voting system was designed using rfid and also website-based thermal printer and barcode technology. By using this technology, each voter will get a receiptthat will be entered into the ballot box so that it can be re-audited if needed. In addition, this resolves the problem of inefficient paper use and reduces the burden on the election committee. voting must be regisified first and will be checked whether the voter has voted or not.

Abstract

Computer Screen Activity Monitoring Application is an application that used to help supervisors or lecturers or laboratory officers when supervise practical activity, in this case Multimedia (MM) laboratory. With this monitoring application, can capture screenshot of student’s computer without known by the student. So that supervisors or lecturers or laboratory officers can be assisted in supervising practical activities. For the implementation and the usage of this application at MM laboratory, there are two main entities, namely admin or lecturer’s side and client or student’s side. On admin or lecturer’s side, there are user interface and place that used to store screenshot of student’s computer screen. So, on admin or lecturer’s side, can see the screenshot image of student’s computer screen at certain period. On client or student’s side, there are no user interface, because on it’s side, only has background process. This background process only capture screenshot at certain time, then send it to admin or lecturer’s computer. So, admin or lecturer can see the result of captured screenshot from student’s computer. The result of this test shows that this application was running as expected. Background process that’s installed on student’s computer successfully capture screenshot image and send it to admin or lecturer’s computer. Other than that, on admin or lecturer’s side, can see the result. When testing the implementation of this application on MM laboratory, there is a little trouble. The trouble is on Firewall configuration that cannot connect between admin or lecturer’s computer and client or student’s computer. This research can be developed by making other platforms besides Windows, because apart from the MM lab, there are computers with operating systems other than Windows.

Abstract

Environmental pollution is increasing every day along with the increasing number of products and consumption behavior of the society in general. Things that must be done to overcome the increase in the volume of waste are to reduce the production of waste, especially inorganic types because it is very difficult to decompose and increasing society awareness to dispose of waste. Viewed from these two aspects, society need a system that is able to give them encouragement to dispose of wasteThe Android-based non-residual inorganic waste distribution application intended to help the owner in raising public awareness to dispose of waste, especially non-residual inorganic type. This application will be made using the Java programming language using Android Studio. This android-based application helps the admin to add as many drop post as possible so that it can reach the people in the city of Surabaya evenly. In addition, this application also records the submission process that has been confirmed by the confirmator also picked up waste by the courier so that the admin get the waste collected data. The test results show that this application runs well on devices with Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) but does not run well for Android 4.4.3 (KitKat) because some features can only run on Android 7.0.0 (Nougat) and above. This application runs the waste submission feature, the addition of the drop post, the notification feature, displays submission information, chat feature, and the navigation feature that makes it easy for the society to use the application so that it is expected to encourage the society to dispose of their inorganic waste.

Abstract

Recording and Calculation of Scores in AAIPSC sports requires speed and accuracy both in terms of accessing and inputting data. At this time, recording is done through paper, so the time taken to enter the calculation software takes a relatively long time. The author hopes that the application created can speed up the calculation and data can be stored to SQL server. With NFC as a validation system, it is hoped that data validation can be maintained at the time of inputting.

Abstract

The problem with handwriting is how a technique can recognize various types of writing in various forms. Different from computer letters that consistent, each human’s handwriting is unique in the form and consistency. These problems can be found in ijazah documents where the data is handwriting.Data location segmentation uses run length smoothing algorithm with dots as segmentation features. Handwritten text recognition (HTR) technique requires data segmented into words. Handwritten character recognition (HCR) technique requires data segmented into characters. HCR uses the LeNet5 model with the EMNIST dataset. HTR uses tesseract tool and convolutional recurrent neural networks with the IAM database.Experiment on 10 samples of scan images, segmentation obtained an average accuracy of 95.6%. The HCR technique failed in the letter segmentation process in cursive handwriting. The best technique is the HTR with tesseract tool managed to get word accuracy above 69% tested on 5 scan samples, 15 data fields.

Abstract

Employee’s productivity could affect the performance of a company, so it must be considered & maintained. One way to maintain the employee’s productivity is by monitoring the employee’s performance through their attendance. But, it also requires the right tool to prevent the forgery of attendance data input by employees. For example, if you use a timestamp machine, the company’s employees can fake data on their absences by entrusting the attendance card (to be stamped) to their colleagues. Therefore, an attendance program that is assisted by using a fingerprint machine, will be designed to help the company maintain the productivity of the employees of the Puji Surya Indah company. This attendance program consists of a user interface, which will be created using Visual Studio 2017, with the Visual Basic programming language. In addition, a database was also established to store employee, user, and attendance and payroll data, using MySQL. The final result of making this program is an attendance program, which can store personal data of employees, user data, along with attendance reports and employee’s salaries. The conclusion obtained from the making of this program is that this program is feasible to use, but still needs to be added features and justify the way the data is displayed; overall, this program gets scores of 66.6% good and 3.33% adequate from respondents.

Abstract

Customers are one of the keys to the resilience of a business. Each customer has different behavior and needs, so they need different treatment. Intense competition in the retail business makes customers have many choices and can easily switch to other companies. As a solution for PT. XYZ to compete, a customer segmentation system is needed to help PT. XYZ understand and maintain their customer’s loyalty. Therefore, in this study, the RFM/P method was used to calculate customer value, which was then followed by Kmeans clustering to divide customers into three clusters, namely below zeroes, most growable customers, and most valuable customers for each product. The results of the questionnaire evaluation in system testing were carried out on 6 respondents, for application functionality 93% good, application design 90% good, ease of use of application 83% good, application responding to needs 90% good, and overall application 87% good.
