Abstract

This study purpose to analyze competitiveness and the factors that influence the level of Indonesian potato exports in Singapore and Malaysia. The analytical method used in this study is the quantitative Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) method, Export Product Dynamic (EPD), and OLS analysis. The destination countries for potato exports in Indonesia are Singapore and Malaysia. This study uses annual time series data from 1989 to 2018. The results of the RCA analysis show that Indonesian potatoes have strong competitiveness in Singapore in 1999-2017, although in 1999-2003 the value of Singapore RCA was inferior to Malaysia. Whereas in Malaysia, Indonesian potatoes have strong competitiveness only in 1999-2006. The results of analysis of Indonesian potato EPD on the Singapore market are in a retreat position and Malaysia is in a lost opportunityposition. The results of OLS analysis in both countries show that the variable that has a significant effect on the level of potato exports is the GDP of the destination country and the real exchange rate. While the price of exports only affects Singapore. This study purpose to analyze competitiveness and the factors that influence the level of Indonesian potato exports in Singapore and Malaysia. Abstract

This study aims to find out how the diversity of family consumption of migrant workers and non migrant workers, and how much influence the remittance to the consumption of family of migrant workers covering consumption of capital expenditure, food consumption, non-food consumption and total consumption. And how much influence the income on the consumption of non-migrant family which includes consumption of capital expenditure, food consumption, non-food consumption, and total consumption. To achieve these objectives used primary data obtained directly from the place of study. The method of analysis used in this research is Simple Linear Regression Analysis. The results of this study indicate that remittance variable has a positive influence on consumption of capital expenditure, food consumption, non-food consumption, and total consumption of families of migrant workers. And remittance variables also have a significant influence on consumption of capital expenditure, food consumption, non-food consumption, and total consumption of families of migrant workers.. The income variable has a positive effect on consumption of capital expenditure, food consumption, non-food consumption, and total consumption of Non-migrant family workers. And income variables also have a significant effect on consumption of capital expenditure, food consumption, non-food consumption, and total consumption of Non-migrant family workers. Keywords: Consumption, Remittance, Revenue, Capital Expenditure Consumption, Food Consumption, Non-Food Consumption, Total Consumption.

Abstract

Labor absorption is a certain amount of labor that is absorbed and used in a particular business unit to run the production process. The absorption of labor is influenced by the level of investment, and the minimum wage of labor. Determination of the level of wages made by the government in a region will have an influence on the magnitude of the existing unemployment rate. The higher wages set by the government will result in a decrease in the number of people working in the country. This study aims to determine the effect of provincial minimum wages, investment and education levels on employment in Indonesia. The analytical method used in this study is a quantitative analysis method with panel data regression (Pooled Least Squares). The results of the analysis of this study are that the provincial minimum wage, investment and education level variables have a significant positive effect on the employment variable.

Abstract

Fibroblasts and IL-1α are important components of inflammation and healing in dental caries. This healing allegedly could be enhanced by robusta coffee. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of varying concentrations of robusta coffee on IL-1α expression and the number of fibroblasts. Wistar rats were used, divided into 4 groups and 3 subgroups (7-, 14"‘, and 21-day rats) with each group containing 4 animals: Control group: untreated group; 25% Coffee Group: cavities + treated with 25% coffee bean paste; 50% Coffee Group: cavities + treated with 50% coffee bean paste; 75% Coffee Group: cavities + treated with 75% coffee bean paste. The 7-, 14-, and 21-day rats were sacrificed serially for analysis of the number of dental pulp fibroblasts by staining with HE and IL-1α expression by immunohistochemistry. The resulting data were analyzed descriptively and using ANOVA, followed by an LSD test. The higher the concentration of robusta coffee, the more the expression of IL-1α decreased and the more the number of fibroblasts increased. It is suspected that immunomodulatory proteins inhibit IL-1α expression. It was concluded that robusta coffee could decrease IL-1α expression and increase the number of fibroblasts during the healing process in the dental pulp of Wistar rats.

Abstract

Poverty is one of the main problems in both developed and developing countries. Various factors that can cause poverty include low investment levels, slow economic growth, uneven infrastructure development, ineffective government spending on poverty alleviation programs. The government has not been effective in allocating the APBN or APBD in the poverty program so that poverty still cannot be overcome. As we know that poverty is one of the conditions discussed by the community, one of which is in Jombang Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of village fiscal on poverty that occurred in Jombang Regency. This type of research is explanatory research with secondary data type in the form of panel data consisting of time series data for 2010-2019 and cross-section data of 8 villages in Jombang Regency. Analysis of the data in this study using Multiple Regression. The test results of this study indicate that the APBDes Infrastructure budget has a negative and significant effect on poverty in Jombang Regency. Poverty subsidy APBDes has a negative and significant effect on poverty in Jombang Regency. While the BUMDES economic APBDes has a positive effect on poverty. The influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable has an effect of 99.99% as well as a measure of the success rate of regression in predicting the value of the independent variable on the dependent. Abstract

Objective: Analyzing viability of PBMC and salivary leukocytes  by steeping green coffee and black coffee seeds from Robusta coffee after induced with S. mutans.Material and Methods: Blood and saliva of healthy people added with histopaque centrifugation and suspended in RPMI 1640. The cells were placed in 24-well microtiter plate, treated according to group. The research groups: control: induced by S. mutans, black coffee (2.5%, 5%, 10%), Green coffee (2.5%, 5%, 10%). All coffee groups, both PBMC and saliva groups were induced by S. mutans. Viability was stainted with Tripan Blue. Cells were counted under an inverted microscope with magnification 400 times from an average of 5 fields of view. The data obtained were ANOVA followed by LSD test.Results. ANOVA and LSD analysis showed significant differences (0.01<p). The higher of concentration of Robusta coffee, the more cells that live. On the other hand, Green coffee increased the viability of PBMC and salivary leucocytes more than black coffee. Suspected, because antioxidant of the green coffee that more higher than black coffee, so it is better able to protect cells.Conclusion. Steeping Green and black coffee increase viability of PBMC and leucocytes which is induced by S. mutans.

Abstract

Fiscal decentralization is a policy made by the government to reduce fiscal dependence on the central government and create financial independence in the region. The independence of regional finance itself can be reflected through the high percentage of PAD revenue to total regional revenues. Where the existence of regional financial independence is expected to help implement regional development that can affect economic growth in the region. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of the level of regional financial independence to economic growth of districts/cities in East Nusa Tenggara Province in 2012-2017. The results of study uses secondary data analysis tools to approach the data panel Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The results of this study indicate that the local revenue had significant positive effect on economic growth, equalization funds had no significant positive effect on economic growth.
