Abstract

Community Service activities are carried out in collaboration with the Palembang Archdiocese's1st Dean Family Commission, who entrusted this material to a team of lecturers from the Facultyof Business and Accounting, Musi Charitas Catholic University Palembang. The method ofproviding material in the form of lectures, videos, simulations and exercises. Participants who takepart in this activity are those who plan in the near future to carry out Catholic marriages. Thenumber of participants was 65 people, followed by 49% men and 51% women, most of theparticipants had an undergraduate degree (66%), with ages ranging from 23-27 years (74%), withincome levels ranging from 2-4 million (45% ). Providing material on "Financial PlanningTraining: Beautiful Retirement Periods" is needed for the participants of this training, so thatparticipants are wiser in planning their retirement.

Abstract

Community Service Activities are carried out by the team and partners in an online form using zoom. The zoom link is prepared by the partner. Providing material on "Financial Planning Training: The Importance of Family Financial Education" is important considering that one of the problems in the family is financial problems. The partner of this service, namely the Family Commission of the Dean 1 of the Archdiocese of Palembang, entrusted this material to a team of lecturers from the Faculty of Business and Accounting, Musi Charitas Catholic University, Palembang. This training was attended by 56 participants from various parishes, but 45 participants filled out the questionnaire distributed by the team. Financial Planning Training: The Importance of Family Financial Education has been going well, and partners also expressed their gratitude for holding this activity, and hoped that similar activities would be held again. The targets (output targets) in this activity were also quite achieved, with an increase in correct answers after participants attended the training.

Abstract

The activities of the Marriage Preparation Course are under the coordination of the 1st Deanof Palembang Archdiocese. Family Commission Dean 1 Palembang Archdiocese is a partnerin community service activities with a family financial planning training program. The numberof participants in this activity was 35 people, 52% male and 48% female, mostly aged 23-27years (49%), and most of them had incomes ranging from IDR 2,000,000 – IDR 4,000,000(35%). Participants are young couples who plan to have a Catholic wedding. This activity hasthe theme of Financial Planning Training: Family Financial Health. The purpose of thisactivity is so that KPP participants have the skills to prepare balance sheets and cash flowreports for family finances. Through financial management skills, participants are expected tobe able to realize family financial health. During the activity, participants were asked to identifysources of funds and allocation of funds that have been carried out so far and carry outfinancial health checks based on patterns of financial management. The training processcovers several stages namely Awareness, Knowledge, and Simulation Activities. Through thisactivity, participants gain insight into good family financial planning. Participants also knowthe level of health related to the current condition of family financial management.
