Abstract

This research is entitled "Cultural Semiotic in Dayak’s Babalai ceremonial at Paramasan as a form of maintaining traditional language". This research has long-term goal of introducing Dayak Language in general and Dayak language culture, in particular, to attract tourists to visit Paramasan, Banjar District of South Kalimantan. This research identifies, analyzes, and interprets cultural symbol which sourced from Dayak tribe mantra during Babalai ceremony. The cultural symbols to be identified are the symbols based on Pierce's trilogy of indexes, icons, and symbols. This study aims to describe the Dayak tribe mantra used in Babalai ceremonial and to analyze symbols in the Meratus Dayak’s tribe mantra used during Babalai event in Paramasan, Banjar district of South Kalimantan. Each symbol and icon used in each culture contains its own cultural values that are considered significant in its community. The study of Dayak’s Meratus mantra text would enrich the treasury of language and culture in local-global communities and could strengthen solidarity among nations and countries. The language used as a medium in expressing or expression is a media to know historical evidence as the context of an understanding of the identity of a culture. Cultural identity emerges within a community not only as a color of locality but also as a cultural expression that offers an alternative image in society.

Abstract

Abstract: This research deals with directive speech in the Mario Teguh Golden Ways. This study uses a qualitative approach. That is, data that has been found later identified, analyzed and classified through a qualitative analysis. In line with the approach, the method used is descriptive method. From the results of the study, it is showed that the speech act in Mario Teguh Golden Ways is a directive speech act, which is seen from the number of words used by Mario in giving advice. This can be seen in terms of understanding that researcher found. Directive speech acts (directives) illocutionary aim to produce an effect of an act committed by the addressees; this illocutionary is for example, ordering, commanding, pleading, demanding, and giving advice. Keywords: Discourse, Directives Speech Acts, Mario Teguh Golden Ways Abstrak: Penelitian ini berkenaan dengan bentuk tidak tutur direktif dalam acara Mario Teguh Golden Ways. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Artinya, data yang telah ditemukan kemudian diidentifikasi, dianalisis dan diklasifikasikan melalui analisis secara kualitatif. Sejalan dengan pendekatannya, metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tindak tutur yang banyak terdapat pada acara Mario Teguh Golden Ways adalah tindak tutur direktif yang dapat diamati dari banyaknya kalimat yang digunakan oleh Mario Teguh dalam berbicara memberi saran dan nasihat. Hal ini bisa dilihat dari segi pengertian yang telah peneliti dapatkan. Tindak tutur direktif (directives) ilokusi ini bertujuan menghasilkan suatu efek berupa tindakan yang dilakukan oleh petutur; ilokusi ini misalnya, memesan, memerintah, memohon, menuntut, memberi nasihat.Kata kunci : Wacana, Tindak Tutur Direktif, Acara Mario Teguh Golden Ways

Abstract

This study aims to describe how the ability of teachers to apply questioning skills to social studies subjects during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative approach. The data sources used in this study were fourth grade teachers at SDN Mangkauk 2. The subjects of this study were the principal, fourth grade teachers, and fourth grade students. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation and interview techniques. The data analysis technique was carried out by collecting data/data collection, data condensation, data presentation/data display and drawing conclusions. The conclusion of this research is that the teacher's ability to apply questioning skills for fourth grade students at SDN Mangkauk 2 during the current covid-19 pandemic is not optimal, this is due to the limitations of the learning process, learning is carried out remotely not face to face and when learning takes place only some students who can interact and respond when the teacher is learning. Abstract

This research focuses on the use of metaphors contained in the collection of poems by Rika. The aim is to describe the type, function and meaning of the metaphor in the collection of poems. The research method used is a descriptive analysis method with a structural approach. There are four types of metaphors found in the poetry of the Park Lights Man and Which Map You Are Going to in a collection of Rika's poetry entitled Sun in the Rain. (a) Anthropomorphic metaphors are found in both poetry, as many as three lines, (b) animal metaphors are also found in both poems, as many as four lines, (c) synestetic metaphors are only found in LLT poetry by one array, and (d) abstract to concrete metaphors found in both poems, as many as seven lines . Three metaphorical functions include, (a) overcoming the shortcomings and limitations of lexicons or expressions found only in one line of LLT poetry, (b) expressing speech found in both poems, as many as ten lines, and (c) avoiding the saturation found in both poems, as many as five lines. Whereas the meaning of metaphor is as much as two meanings, which include, (a) the meaning of living metaphor of nine arrays, and (b) the meaning of dead metaphor of five arrays. Abstrak Penelitian ini berfokus pada penggunaan metafora yang terdapat pada kumpulan puisi Karya Rika. Tujuannya adalah untuk mendeskripsikan jenis, fungsi dan makna metafora pada kumpulan puisi tersebut. metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif analisis dengan pendekatan struktural.Ada empat jenis metafora yang ditemukan dalam puisi Lelaki Lampu Taman dan Peta Mana yang Kau Tuju yang terdapat dalam kumpulan Puisi karya Rika yang berjudul Matahari dalam Hujan.(a) metafora antropomorfis ditemukan di kedua puisi, sebanyak tiga larik,(b) metafora binatang juga ditemukan di kedua puisi, sebanyak empat larik, (c) metafora sinestetik hanya ditemukan pada puisi LLT sebanyak satu larik,dan (d) metafora abstrak ke konkret ditemukan dikedua puisi, sebanyak tujuh larik. Tiga Fungsi metaforameliputi, (a) mengatasi kekurangan dan keterbatasan leksikon atau ungkapan hanya ditemukan pada puisi LLT sebanyak satu larik,(b) mengekspresikan tuturan ditemukan dikedua puisi, sebanyak sepuluh larik, dan (c) menghindari kejenuhan ditemukan dikedua puisi, sebanyak lima larik. Sedangkan makna metafora sebanyak dua makna, yakni meliputi, (a) makna metafora hidup sebanyak sembilan larik, dan (b) makna metafora mati sebanyak lima larik. Abstract

Abstrak: Pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika di sekolah dasar dapat menjadi alternatif pendekatan pembelajaran matematika yang menyenangkan dan juga sebagai media untuk memupuk dan menumbuhkan rasa cinta siswa terhadap budaya bangsa sejak dini, khususnya permainan tradisional yang sudah mulai terkikis dengan maraknya permainan kekinian. Dengan demikian, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika di sekolah dasar melalui permainan tradisional dan untuk mengetahui respon siswa respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika melalui permainan tradisional. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan pendekatan mix method dan dilaksanakan di salah satu sekolah dasar di Kota Banjarmasin, Kalimantan Selatan. Subjek penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas 3 yang berjumlah 7 orang. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan menyebarkan angket terhadap subjek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika SD berbasis etnomatematika melalui permainan tradisional dilaksanakan dengan 3 tahapan yaitu, pendahuluan, kegiatan inti, dan kegiatan penutup. Permainan tradisional yang dimainkan pada kegiatan inti adalah damprak dengan muatan materi operasi hitung bilangan cacah. Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah kombinasi metode bermain dan metode drill atau latihan. Respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika berbasis etnomatematika melalui permainan tradisional memperoleh rata-rata 83,57% yang artinya mendapatkan respon positif.Abstract:  Ethnomathematics based learning in elementary schools can be a fun alternative to learning mathematics as well as a medium for fostering and growing students' love of national culture from an early age, particularly traditional games that have begun to erode with the rise of modern games. Thus, the purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of ethnomathematics through traditional games and to discover student responses to ethnomathematics-based learning through traditional games. This mixed method study was conducted in an elementary school in Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan. Seven students from class III participated in the study. The data was collected by observing and distributing questionnaires to research subjects. The results showed that the implementation of learning was carried out in three stages: introduction, core activities, and closing activities. The impact of the material content on whole number arithmetic operations was reflected in the traditional games played in core activities. The method employed was a hybrid of the playing and drill or training methods. Students' responses to ethnomathematics-based mathematics learning through traditional games obtained an average of 83,57%, indicating a positive response.

Abstract

Latarbelakangdaripenelitian ini adalahmengkaji tentang analisisbentuknilai pendidikan karakter pada buku Dongeng Anak Terpopuler Sepanjang Masa Karya Ungu Lianza. Penelitianinibertujuan untukmenguraikan bentuk nilai pendidikan karakter yang terkandung pada bukuAnak Terpopuler Sepanjang Masa,Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan sosiologis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis isi atau dokumen (contentofdocumentanalysis). Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah kumpulan cerita dongeng buku Dongeng Anak Terpopuler Sepanjang Masa karya Ungu Lianza yang diterbitkan oleh Visi Mandiri, Banyuanyar Surakarta pada tahun 2014. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah menggunakan teknik pustaka, baca, dan catat. Serta teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif analisis.Temuanpenelitianmenunjukkanbahwadari8 dongeng yang dianalisisdalamdalam buku “Dongeng Terpopuler Sepanjang Masa” karya Ungu Lianza ditemukan bahwa bentuk nilai pendidikan karakter yang ditemukan berjumlah 6, yaitu (1) Rasa Ingin Tahu, (2) Bersahabat/Komunikasi, (3) Cinta Damai, (4) Peduli Sosial, (5) Kerja Keras, (6) Toleransi.
