Abstract

The use of language styles has a widely varied purpose to convey information that is not explicitly expressed by the speaker. This study is aimed at describing the form and function of the styles contained in the French media. The subjects of this research are phrases and sentences contained in the CDP Lyrics in the Blonde albums, alcoholic beverages and advertisement aplle in French-language magazines, and in the speech by François Hollande in ‘Le Figaro’ newspaper. Data collection is done by observation and recording techniques using data tables. Data analysis uses the agih method. The analysis of the language style functions is done by using the speech components of SPEAKING. The validity is obtained through semantic validity and reliability through intra-rater reliability.  The results of the study show that the style of language in the media is necessary for speech so that the content of communication is more beautiful and attractive. Language style functions depend on the context and purpose of the speech. The most dominant function in the lyrics of the song is the poetic, which prioritizes beauty. In Alcoholic Beverage Ads, the expressive function becomes dominant to make the advertisement more alive. In the Apple Product Advertising on the Internet, the language function is referential for emphasizing the topics described.Keywords: language style, form and function  VARIASI GAYA BAHASA DALAM MEDIA PERANCIS AbstrakPenggunaan gaya bahasa mempunyai tujuan yang sangat bervariasi untuk menyampaikan informasi yang tidak akan dinyatakan secara eksplisit oleh si penutur.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bentuk dan fungsi gaya bahasa pada media komunikasi yang berupa lagu, iklan, dan Surat Kabar berbahasa Prancis. Subjek penelitian ini adalah frasa dan kalimat yang terdapat dalam Lagu CDP pada album Blonde, iklan minuman beralkohol, iklan aplle dalam majalah berbahasa Prancis, dan Pidato François Hollande dalam Surat Kabar Le Figaro. Pengumpulan data dengan metode simak dan teknik catat dengan tabel data. Analisis data menggunakan metode agih. Penentuan fungsi gaya bahasa menggunakan metode padan referensial. Fungsi penggunaan gaya bahasa dianalisis  dengan komponen tutur SPEAKING. Keabsahan data melalui validitas semantis, reliabilitas dengan intra-rater. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahasa gaya bahasa yang paling menonjol pada lagu adalah asonansi dan hiperbola, pada iklan minuman beralkohol adalah aliterasi dan hiperbola, pada pidato François Hollande adalah repetisi dan hiperbola, pada iklan apple adalah asonansi dan aliterasi. Fungsi bahasa yang sering muncul adalah referensial kecuali pada iklan minuman beralkohol, yang dominan adalah fungsi emotif.  Fungsi gaya bahasa tergantung pada konteks dan tujuan. Gaya bahasa di media diperlukan agar konten indah dan menarik. Kata kunci : Gaya Bahasa, Bahasa Prancis, Bentuk dan Fungsi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) bentuk-bentuk sapaan dalam novel Poil de Carotte karya Jules Renard dan 2) fungsi kata-kata sapaan dalam novel tersebut. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah semua kata, frasa, kalimat, dan ungkapan-ungkapan yang mengandung sapaan yang ada di dalam novel Poil de Carotte karya Jules Renard. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi. Analisis data menggunakan metode distribusional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) bentuk sapaan yang ditemukan dalam novel Poil de Carotte karya Jules Renard berkategori: nomina: (a) nomina nama diri (nama depan, nama belakang, dan nama panggilan), (b) nomina umum (nom propre), pronomina, ajektiva, dan kombinasi, dan (2) fungsi sapaan dalam novel Poil de Carotte dapat diklasi ikasikan menjadi 2, yaitu sebagai tanda masih adanya hubungan (fungsi fatik), dan sebagai alat pengontrol interaksi, ditandai dengan adanya interaksi antartokoh dalam melakukan tindak tutur untuk menyuruh, menolak, mengungkapkan perasaan, menegaskan, meminta kesediaan/meminta tolong/meminta sesuatu, menjawab, memohon, menyanggupi, merajuk, merayu, menyindir, meyakinkan, mengejek, dan mengkritik

Abstract

Abstract This research is aimed at describing the form of French linguistic units, which express non-singular meanings. It also attempts to explain the semantic markers employed to express such meanings. The data collection is done through observation using non-active participation and field notes. The data then is descriptively analyzed by classification. The meanings of the non-singular linguistic units can be grouped into 1) the non-singular meaning based on word category and word sub-category 2) the non-singular meaning based on numbers 3)the non-singular meaning based on the process, and 4)the semantic markers which express the non-singular meanings. The result shows that the non-singular meanings only appear in pronouns and nouns. Based on the number, the non-singular meanings fall into finite and non-finite categories. They can also be classified as lexical and grammatical. The semantic markers determining the non-singular meanings can be grouped into inflectional affixes, determinants, zeros and contexts. Abstract

(Title: The Philosophical Foundations of the Learning Method of French as a Foreign Language in Indonesia). The aim of the current study is to describe the philosophical foundations used in learning French as a foreign language in Indonesia, specifically the language learning which refers to the CECR (Cadre Européen Commun de Rérence) or uniformity in learning, teaching and evaluation. This study adapts the  qualitative descriptive method. The data are in the form of features and characteristics of actionnelle approach, pragmatism and analytical linguistic philosophy foundations. Data are taken from sources such as documents including books on actionnelle approach, Echo 1 and Echo 2 books. Data analysis is done by making a comparative description of the characteristics of the actionnelle approach with the implementation of the philosophy of pragmatism education and the philosophy of analytical linguistic education. The findings of this study indicate that: 1) Pragmatism philosophy implies that education at every level must have criteria to be utilized and applied in social life, because students are indeed social actors, 2) Analytical linguistic philosophy has the principle that word meanings are in sentences, meaning of sentences in language , and the meaning of language exists in various life contexts, 3) Actionnelle approach is characterized by action, assimilating students as language users and as social actors who have tasks to do. The existence of the mentioned similarities can lead us to conclude that that the actionnelle approach gained influence from the philosophy of pragmatism and analytical linguistic.           Keywords: actionnelle approach; pragmatism philosophy;  analytical linguistic philosophy.

Abstract

This study aims to describe forms, meanings, and functions of expressive utterances in French. The data were collected through listening and note-taking. The forms were analyzed by means of a substitution method and the functions by means of a referential correspondence method. The results are as follows. First, the forms and meanings of expressive utterances include (a) literal direct speech acts, (b) literal indirect speech acts, (c) non-literal direct speech acts, and (d) non-literal indirect speech acts. Second, the functions of expressive utterances include (a) congratulating, (b) thanking, (c) expressing sympathy/condolences, (d) complimenting, (e) apologizing, (f) criticizing, (g) complaining, and (h) blaming.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aspek-aspek kohesi dan koherensi yang terdapat dalam iklan perawatan kulit wajah Crème Bienfaisante, NIVEA Q10, Idéalia Life Serum, dan IXXI Pearlixime pada majalah Femme Actuelle. Metode Pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode simak dengan teknik dasar teknik sadap dan teknik lanjutan SBLC (Simak Bebas Libat Cakap), serta teknik catat dan diakhiri dengan klasifikasi. Untuk menganalisis data digunakan metode agih dan metode padan. Hasil penelitian menunujukan bahwa Penggunaan aspek kohesi dalam wacana iklan Perawatan Kulit Wajah (Crème Bienfaisante, NIVEA Q10, Idéalia Life Serum, dan IXXI Pearlixime) adalah sebagai berikut: elipsis sebanyak 36 (35,65 %), konjungsi/perangkai 32 (31,69 %), repetisi 12 (11,89), referensi 6 (5,94 %), kolokasi 7 (6,93%), substitusi 4 (3,96%), sinonim dan hiponimi masing-masing 2 (1,98 %). Jenis kohesi elipsis adalah yang paling banyak digunakan. Elipsis ini berfungsi menimbulkan rasa penasaran atau ingin tahu dari pembaca terhadap hal-hal yang tidak diungkapkan dalam teks. Aspek koherensi meliputi hubungan makna: penambahan 9 (30%), kewaktuan 7 (23,34%), penjelas 5 (16,67%), tempat 3 (10%), kepemilikan dan persyaratan masing-masing 2 (6,67%), tujuan dan perbandingan masing-masing 1 (3,34%). Semua wacana iklan perawatan kulit wajah memberikan informasi yang khusus dan terperinci tentang produk, menampilkan foto produk dan model, disertai dengan ilustrasi yang jelas tentang pesan produk. Pada umumnya, perawatan kulit wajah bertujuan untuk membuat kulit wajah wanita tidak kelihatan tua, mencegah timbulnya atau menghilangkan keriput. Di samping itu, kulit wajah wanita diharapkan harus selalu kelihatan segar, ceria, tidak kusam, dan tidak kelihatan capai. Perawatan kulit wajah ini juga harus dilakukan setiap hari, dengan krim pagi dan krim malam. serta serum yang bisa digunakan setiap saat Kata kunci: Wacana, Iklan, Kohesi, Referen, Substitusi, Elipsis, Konjungsi, Kolokasi, Koherensi

Abstract

This study aims to describe the themes and attitudes of the community towards news about the Covid-19 pandemic on WhatsApp. By conducting critical discourse analysis, it is hoped that an understanding will be formed that can enlighten the public on how to interpret and understand the information about the COVID-19 pandemic that they receive through the WhatsApp application and be selective in sending this information to others. The results of the study show the following. Fisrt, the attitude of affection contains 4 themes, namely religious, health, education, and economic themes. There are two functions of a religious theme, namely a request to God and an expression of gratitude. The health theme has three functions, namely an invitation to maintain progress, vaccination recommendations, and health humour. The theme of education is represented in the form of public attitudes regarding the readiness of universities for offline learning. The function of the economic theme is related to expressions of concern and ironism towards the deteriorating Indonesian economy. Second, the attitude of the community's cognition is realized with the theme of health which has the function of protest, fake news, and health humour. Thirth, dehavioral attitudes carry three themes, namely health, education, and economy. The function of the health theme is behaviour in responding to the funeral process for Covid-19 victims and vaccination. The function of the educational theme is related to the behaviour of the community towards the preparation of offline learning. The economic theme is represented by behavioural deviations from health protocols during the implementation of PPKM.Keywords: discourse analysis, attitude, covid-19, WA SIKAP MASYARAKAT TERHADAP BERITA PANDEMI COVID-19 ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskipsikan tema dan sikap masyarakat terhadap berita tentang pandemi Covid-19 di WhatsApp. Dengan melakukan analisis wacana kritis, diharapkan akan terbentuk pemahaman yang dapat mencerahkan masyarakat bagaimana memaknai dan memahami informasi tentang pandemi covid-19 yang mereka terima melalui aplikasi WhatsApp dan selektif dalam mengirimkan informasi tersebut ke orang lain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hal-hal sebagai berikut. Pertama, sikap afeksi memuat 4 tema yaitu tema religius, kesehatan, pendidikan, dan ekonomi. Ada dua fungsi tema religius yaitu permohonan kepada Tuhan dan ungkapan syukur. Tema kesehatan memiliki tiga fungsi yaitu ajakan menjaga prokes, anjuran vaksinasi, dan humor kesehatan. Tema pendidikan direpresentasikan dalam bentuk sikap masyarakat terkait kesiapan perguruan tinggi dalam pembelajaran luring. Fungsi tema ekonomi berkaitan dengan ungkapan kekhawatiran dan ironisme terhadap ekonomi indonesia yang semakin memburuk. Kedua, sikap kognisi masyarakat diwujudkan dengan tema kesehatan yang memiliki fungsi protes, berita bohong, dan humor kesehatan. Ketiga, sikap perilaku mengusung tiga tema yaitu kesehatan, pendidikan, dan ekonomi. Fungsi tema kesehatan adalah perilaku menyikapi proses pemakaman korban Covid-19, dan vaksinasi. Fungsi tema pendidikan berkaitan dengan perilaku masyarakat terhadap persiapan pembelajaran luring. Tema ekonomi direpresentasikan dengan penyimpangan perilaku terhadap protokol kesehatan di tengah pemberlakuan PPKM.Kata kunci : analisis wacana, sikap, covid-19, WA

Abstract

The internship program is an annual routine activity in all faculties at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). This program implements a link and match between educational institutions and industry but has not been evaluated comprehensively. Therefore, conducting program evaluation research using the Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) model is important. The type of research used is program evaluation research with the CIPP model. Data collection techniques in this research used questionnaires, interviews, and focus group discussions. The research subjects were UNY students who were grouped into four groups. Data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The results showed that the context aspect of the internship program (goals and objectives) was in accordance with the graduate profile set at UNY. However, the general policy for organizing internships during the pandemic still needs to be developed. The systems and procedures of the academic community support the internship program, but there is still a need to improve cooperation documents and internship information systems for all faculties. The implementation of the internship program is in accordance with the activity plan set at UNY, but SIPKL needs to be developed to equalize the perception of field supervisors. The product of the internship program is in accordance with the goals and objectives set at UNY, but some students (34.16%) still have not received a job offer from the internship site. The results of this research can contribute to developing a quality-oriented internship program, which will then positively impact the cooperation relationship between universities and industry. Thus, a good working relationship will benefit both parties and potentially develop cooperation in other programs.
