Abstract

Integrating local wisdom with the concept of biodiversity is a learning innovation that can build cultural character for students to conserve the surrounding environment, including in maintaining cultural and social values. This study aims to develop local wisdom-based learning tools on biodiversity material. This research and the development employed the model used is a 4-D model, which consists of define, design, development and disseminate. Learning tools that are developed based on local wisdom can increase students’ interest in the science learning process. The response of the Koto Rendah Private Islamic High School biology teachers to the lesson plans is in the "Good" category. The developed students’ worksheet also obtained the similar response which is in the "Good" category. The results of small group trials obtained an average score of 31.67 with a percentage of 79.17% (good category). The large group trial results obtained an average score of 31.45 with a percentage of 78.63% (good category). The developed local wisdom-based learning instrument can be categorized as good to be used in learning in the Koto Rendah Private Islamic High School.

Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan teknologi dan informasi pada sektor ekonomi merupakan ukuran keberhasilan dari suatu negara. Pembangunan ekonomi harus disertai kemampuan sumber daya manusia dalam pengelolaan potensi sumber daya alam yang ada. Oleh sebab itu, diperlukan peran masyarakat dalam meningkatkan pembangunan ekonomi nasional melalui pengembangan produk Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM). Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dilakukan di Desa Laman Panjang, Kab. Bungo. Sasaran pengabdian yaitu kelompok tani sebagai pelaku pengemabangan produk UMKM kopi. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM yang diusulkan adalah memberikan sosialisasi, pelatihan dan pendampingan berupa edukasi dan strategi pengolahan, pemasaran dan desain kemasan produk kopi. Hasil pelaksanaan pengabdian dosen dan mahasiswa telah memberikan pengetahuan bagi kelompok tani tentang pengolahan hasil panen kopi robusta yang dimulai dari pemetikan buah, penyortiran, penjemuran, pengupasan kulit buah, penyangraian biji, penggilingan/penumbukan biji dan menghasilkan produk UMKM dengan nama kopi delapan. Selanjutnya disarankan produk UMKM ini dapat berlanjut hingga berkembang ke sekala yang lebih besar dan menambahkan inovasi cita rasa produk kopi delapan.

Abstract

Character education is a system of naming character values that includes components of knowledge, awareness or will, and actions to implement these values, both towards God Almighty, oneself, others, the environment, and nationality. Character of education, it is absolutely necessary not only in school but also at home, in the social environment. Event now this is no longer a participant character of education early childhood through adolescence but also adults. Absolutely necessary for the survival of this nation. Competition imagine what will emerge in the next years. Obviusly it would be our burden and parent for today. At that time, the children will face competition with colleagues from various countries around the world. In fact we are still going to work year will feel the same feelings. Demand the quality of human resources in the coming millennium certainly requires good character. However, the character is the key individual goal
