Abstract

In Japan, after The Second World War, the pressure groupscame from big companies, which had important role toredevelop Japanese industries. Due to the fact that theywere involved in establishing the economic policiessince 1950, the political life style was expressed asthough the domination of triangle’s strength, such as; theLiberal Democracy Party (LDP) politician, bureaucrat,and businessman. Businessman (industrialist) as oneof pressure groups wanted to control the government ofruling party to give political finance.The pressure group, such as, Zaikei (the groupof big companies), they got unilateral eases in terms ofregulation, clearance and act. Nevertheless, the trianglerelation was not permanent because the economic growthhad made pollution and urbanization. It made contradictionto the politician’s interest. The Japanese people prosecutedthe LDP politician and bureaucrat to restrain the pollutionand increase the social welfare and the life quality. Thepressure group used many ways to influence and to controlthe government’s policies by making Advisory Board(Shingikai) which was consisted of professional andcommon people.The collusion, corruption and bribe scandal cameinto the fore involving the former Japanese prime ministerswho were from the LDP politicians. They were causedby some factors such as: (a) the Japanese culture and thepolitician morality; (b) the election system of the House of Representatives members; (c) the competition amongthe faction of LDP to become the president of LDP, whichhave a chance to be the Japanese prime minister.

Abstract

This research, entitled “Historical Events and Characteristic of Japanese Society in Asakusa Bakuto Ichidai Novel by Saga Jun’Ichi”. The aim of this research is recognizing the historical events experienced by the Japanese community during the Taishou to Shouwa period, as well as the characteristics of the Japanese society described in the novel Asakusa Bakuto Ichidai. The research used descriptive method of abstraction. The theory used is the sociology of literature according to Laurenson. Based on the result of the analysis, the historical events experienced by Japanese society in the novel Asakusa Bakuto Ichidai are Ashio riot, World War I, Kanto earthquake, the death of Taishou Emperor, War Manchuria, rebellion by young officer, Abe Sada events, and World War II. The characteristics of Japanese society reflected in the novel Asakusa Bakuto Ichidai are to have a habit of respecting time, high morale (ganbaru), the tradition of giving each other gifts (okurimono), having a tradition that keeps the belief in Buddhism, the people who respect the Emperor, shame culture. Based on the strong character of having a hard-working soul and holding fast to tradition, it is known that the Japanese people quickly rise from adversity. It is proven by the success of Japanese society through various events, one of them is the World War II. The event of World War II is the most influential event for the Japanese society in the future.

Abstract

The title of this research is “Shinju in Sonezaki Shinju and Shinju Ten no Amijima, Short Stories by Chikamatsu Monzaemon”. This research aims to examine the background factors of shinju and the author's view of shinju in the Sonezaki Shinju short story and Chikamatsu Monzaemon's Shinju Ten no Amijima short story. The method used in this research is a descriptive analysis method by Ratna (2015). The theory used in this research are the sociological theory of literature proposed by Wellek & Werren (1990), the author's worldview theory proposed by Goldmann in Faruk (2010) and suicide theory proposed by Emile Durkheim (1897). Based on the results of the analysis found three factors underlying the occurrence of the shinju phenomenon in the Sonezaki Shinju short story, such as 1) shinju as a form of rejection of custom marriage, 2) shinju as a way out of conflict between on, giri, and ninjo, and 3) shinju is a form of proof of love, while in Chikamatsu Monzaemon's Shinju Ten no Amijima short story there are three factors underlying the shinju phenomenon, such as 1) shinju as a form of implementation of giri, 2) shinju as a form of shame, and 3) shinju as a form of proof of love. From these factors there are also three authors' views about shinju itself, such as 1)shinju restores self-esteem, 2) shinju to remove shame, and 3) shinju as a union of love.

Abstract

Desa Bedulu merupakan salah satu desa di Kecamatan Blahbatuh, Kabupaten Gianyar Bali yang memiliki potensi wisata berupa daya tarik wisata Yeh Pulu dan Goa Gajah. Kesiapan Sumber Daya Manusia merupakan modal dasar keterlibatan masyarakat lokal dalam berbagai aktifitas pariwisata. Berdasarkan karakteristik wisatawan, wisatawan yang datang berkunjung ke Kabupaten Gianyar didominasi oleh Wisatawan Jepang. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk memberikan pembinaan kepariwisataan melalui pendidikan dan pelatihan Bahasa Jepang bagi pengelola dan pemandu wisata (guide) lokal di Desa Wisata Bedulu sebagai antisipasi menghadapi perkembangan pariwisata daerah tersebut dan perdagangan bebas dunia. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan di banjar lingkungan Desa Wisata Bedulu, Kabupaten Gianyar Bali. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan cara memberikan pembinaan kepariwisataan berupa pendidikan dan pelatihan yang meliputi: ceramah pariwisata untuk meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat, praktek langsung Bahasa Jepang yang sangat berguna dan tepat guna kepada masyarakat pengelola dan pemandu wisata (guide) lokal yang ada di Desa Bedulu, Kabupaten Gianyar Bali. Setelah kegiatan ceramah pendidikan dan pelatihan dilaksanakan kemudian dilakukan diskusi dan tanya jawab terkait topik yang dibahas. Pada akhir kegiatan ini diharapkan masyarakat paham dan memiliki pengetahuan dan ketrampilan yang cukup dalam hal pariwisata dan Bahasa Jepang yang berguna untuk profesi yang digelutinya.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The holy monkey forest Sangeh is well-known of Macaca Fascicularisin in the 10 ha of pala (Dipterocarpus Trinervis) forest. Beside the forest which is hundred years old, these attraction also have Bukit Sari temple since 17th century when the Mengwi kingdom exist. Others attraction are Melanting, Tirta, Anyar temple, and lanang wadon (male-female) tree. These tourist attraction is managed by local traditional village (desa adat) Sangeh. The guide has a big role in tourism development. In order to do their duty, they have to make the tourist understand and pay attention to them, so it can give good image for the tourist attraction. The cross cultural understanding is the key success to improve the interaction quality between host and guest in the service context. The guide needs to pay attention of the different culture in communication as they interact with the tourist intensively. The local guides understand well the background of Sangeh tourist attraction, history, tradition, local genius, international politic, geography, and gastronomy. However, the skill of the local guide in speaking English language are varieted, some people can speak fluently but some of them not. Most of the local guide was not joining the foreign language course; however, some of them had worked in the big hotel. They also have some difficulties to communicate foreign languages and that make little conversation with the tourist that visit Sangeh. From the tourist culture aspect shows that the local guides have lack understanding of history, site background, and customs of the tourist. The local guides also have some difficulties after escorting the tourist guides as they don’t want the tourist think that they expect the tipping aggresively.

Abstract

Pengabdian institusi ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan hasil penelitian sebelumnya. Target khusus pengabdian adalah (1) mengimplementaskan praktik kepariwisataan sebagai strategi melting pot dalam mempertahankan lahan pertanian di Desa Kapal, (2) mengimplementasikan praktik kepariwisataan dengan melatih dan mendampingi masyarakat Desa Kapal agar memiliki partisipasi dalam kegiatan pariwisata budaya yang berbasis budaya agraris, dan (3) pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam perencanaan, pengemasan, dan promosi paket wisata budaya agraris di Desa Kapal. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama 6 bulan dengan teknis pelatihan dan pendampingan (1) pelatihan mengenal potensi daya tarik wisata budaya di Desa kapal, (2) pelatihan merencanakan dan membuat paket wisata budaya di Desa Kapal, (3) pelatihan pemanduan wisata budaya, (4) pendampingan pembuatan jejaring promosi dengan biro perjalanan wisata, dan (5) pelatihan pembuatan brosur dan calendar of event wisata budaya di Desa Kapal.

Abstract

This study discusses about tourist characteristic and motivation in Pelaga, Badung Regency, Sibetan, Karangasem Regency, and Tenganan, Karangasem Regency. These three villages were developed into ecotourism village by JED (Village Ecotourism Network). Ecotourism is a community- based tourism, enviromentally sound, and responsible for sustainability. By seeing the number of visitor in Pelaga Ecotourism Village which has yet to reach the target, this is the impact of marketing system is still very common conducted without regard to the characteristics and motivations of tourists. This research purposes is to know the tourist characteristic and motivation who visit Pelaga, Sibetan, and Tenganan Ecotourism Village. Data collection in this research is done by direct obeservation to Pelaga Village, Sibetan Village, and Tenganan Village. Deep interview with the manager of JED and then deep interview with the coordinator of JED in every village, and also deep interview with the tourist to know their motivation visit Pelaga Ecotourism Village. While also using literature study and documentation. The result of this research show that in term geographic characteristic the visitor in Pelaga, Sibetan, and Tenganan Village is come from various country namely USA , Australia, Thailand, Japan, Germany, Canada, Netherland, England, France, Norway, Belgium, Philippines, Italy, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, China, Poland, East Timor, Finland, Korea. In term socio- demographic characteristic the tourist who visit Pelaga and Sibetan dominated by man and in productive age, while in Tenganan is dominated by women and in older age. The whole tourist in three villages are work in private or public sector, and high educational background. Most of tourists who visit, have the motivation to know the culture in three villages.

Abstract

Bali is one famous island with many potential tourism. Bangli as one of the district in Bali has begun develop it’s own potential tourism. There is a cultural village which has uniqueness called Terunyan Village Cemetery. The village cemetery has uniqueness due to the corpse is not buried or burned but placed under the tree after the death ceremony. The uniqueness this village has developed a tourist destination inducing tourist are interested in visiting Terunyan Cemetery. However the cadger and boat driver had made the tourist to be afraid to visit the Terunyan Cemetery which emerged the bad image. The research used the purposive sampling methode as a technique to determine the respondent. The number of respondents were 110 respondents. The technique of data analysis used multiple linear regression. Research in parsial show that the mirror image has a positive and significant effect toward the interesting of tourist visiting Terunyan Village Cemetery. Moreover, current image has positive and significant effect toward the tourist’s interest. In addition, wish image has positive and significant influence toward the interesting to visit. Fouthermore, corporate image has positive and significant influence to the interesting of tourist to visit. By simultaneously image has positive and significant effect toward the interesting of tourist to visit Terunyan Cemetery.

Abstract

Bali, whose name is identical with tourism, is one of the tourist destination in Indonesia, whose name has been synonymous with tourism. Airlines, which one of them is Garuda Indonesia, became one of the factors that developed tourism in Bali. The background of this research due to complaints from tourists who made a reservation at Garuda Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to determine the satisfaction of domestic touristto ticket reservation service at Garuda Indonesia, so we can know which variables that must be maintained and enhanced. This research was conducted using the method of Importance-Performance Analysis by distributing questionnaires to 60 respondents domestic tourist who make ticket reservations at Garuda Indonesia which service dimensions studied are reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangible. Based on the research that has been done, it could be concluded that the overall rating is not satisfied with the service provided by the staff of Garuda Indonesia, both in terms of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangible so that the performance needs to be improved.Garuda Indonesia can improve and enhance the service quality of staff and domestic tourists satisfaction by looking the sequence of priority in airline ticket reservation service indicator.

Abstract

The Indonesian Commuter Train is a favorite mass transportation for traveling in greater Jakarta because of its affordable price, proximity of the station to tourist destinations, and the services provided. In fact, the management has prepared special Passenger Service officers. There was a decline in passengers in 2019 due to passenger dissatisfaction with the services provided, even the ratio of the number of passenger complaints in 2019-2020 was still the same. In fact, as a commitment to the continued operation during the pandemic, the management launched a special Passenger Service officer named C-Ranger to disseminate health protocols during the new normal. This study uses mixed methods data analysis techniques including qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The research sample determination technique uses purposive sampling with a sample size of 100 respondents. The results of the study show services provided by Passenger Service are ticketing, information service, complaint handling, CCTV access information, priority passenger, pregnant wowen, Lost and Found, and C-Ranger. Based on the t test showed that partially, the variables with tangible, assurance, and reliability variables had a significant influence on the satisfaction of domestic tourists. While the variables of empathy and responsiveness do not have a significant effect on the satisfaction of domestic tourists. simultaneously the quality of Passenger Service has a significant and positive influence on the satisfaction of domestic tourists with a coefficient of determination of 50.7%.
