Abstract

EDM is a non-conventional machining process with feeding material carried out by electric spark (spark) through a gap between the electrode and the workpiece containing liquid in the electric. The usefulness of the liquid is as a medium for rinsing the remnants of erosion material, electrodes and workpieces as electrical conductors. In the manufacturing industry, EDM is widely used for the manufacture of products that demand the quality of surface roughness resulting from smooth cutting and high precision. The Taguchi method is one method in experimental design that can be used to control product quality. This study considers 3 parameters, namely gap voltage, on time, and off time on the SKD-11 material as one of the 13 mm thick dies / dies. This study uses the Taguchi method to obtain optimal parameters with smaller criteria better. Based on the table above the highest voltage parameter gap at level 1 which is 30 volts, the parameters at the most agreed time at level 3 are 120 μs and the most difficult off time parameter to be reached at level 1 is 20 μs to roughness. EDM adalah suatu proses permesinan yang bersifat non konvensional dengan pemakanan material benda kerja yang dilakukan oleh loncatan bunga api listrik (spark) melalui celah antara elektroda dan benda kerja yang berisi cairan di elektrik. Kegunaan cairan tersebut adalah sebagai medium untuk flushing sisa-sisa partikel material hasil erosi,pendinginan elektroda dan benda kerja serta sebagai konduktor listrik. Dalam industri manufaktur, EDM banyak digunakan untuk pembuatan produk-produk yang menuntut kualitas kekasaran permukaan hasil pemotongan yang halus dan kepresisian yang tinggi. Metode Taguchi merupakan salah satu metode dalam desain eksperimen yang dapat digunakan untuk mengendalikan kualitas produk. Penelitian ini mempertimbangkan 3 parameter yaitu gap voltage, on time, dan off time pada pengerjaan material SKD-11 sebagai salah satu bahan pembuatan cetakan/dies dengan tebal 13 mm. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Taguchi untuk mendapatkan parameter yang optimum dengan kriteria smaller is better. Berdasarkan tabel diatas parameter gap voltage paling berpengaruh pada level 1 yaitu 30 volt, parameter on time paling berpengaruh pada level 3 yaitu 120 µs dan parameter off time paling berpengaruh pada level 1 yaitu 20 µs terhadap kekasaran.

Abstract

The research was conducted using a FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) Rapid Prototyping machine with various combinations of parameters. Selection of parameters for 3 types of parameters, each parameter varied by 3 variations. The material used is PLA (polylactic acid) material. The research method uses the Taguchi method. The resulting response is only surface roughness. Experiments produce the optimum parameters: Print Speed 60 mm/s, Printing Temperature 200 ° C, Layer Height 0.1 mm

Abstract

Each country must pay attention to the money market or capital market to take advantage of internationalization opportunities and trade between countries in the Asian region, especially in the maritime sector. The success of the capital market in a country, especially in the maritime industry sector, is influenced by external circumstances such as macroeconomic and internal factors such as its performance. This study aims to determine the effect of macroeconomic factors on the abnormal return of shipping companies in Indonesia. Data analysis methods used to test hypotheses in research are using Multiple Linear Regression Analysis and Path Analysis. The determination of the sample in this study used a purposive sampling method. The result showed that ROE could not partially be an intervening variable between macroeconomics and abnormal return.

Abstract

Breast Cancer merupakan jenis kanker yang sangat berbahaya di dunia. Setiap tahun 506.000  penduduk di dunia meninggal akibat breast cancer [10]. Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara berkembang dengan penderita breast cancer yang banyak. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan data Sistem Informasi Rumah Sakit (SIRS) 2007 yang menunjukkan breast cancer menempati urutan pertama pada pasien rawat inap di rumah sakit seluruh Indonesia (16.85%) [2]. Tingginya kasus penyakit ini di Indonesia mengharuskan penderita breast cancer untuk melakukan pemeriksaan tingkat keganasan breast cancer dengan memperhatikan jenis stadium breast cancer. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan analisis tingkat keganasan breast cancer dengan menggunakan regresi logistik ordinal dan support vector machine (SVM). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dengan metode regresi logistik ordinal, menunjukkan variabel yang berpengaruh terhadap tingkat keganasan breast cancer adalah ukuran tumor dan nodus dengan ketepatan klasifikasi tertinggi 56.60%. Sedangkan ketepatan klasifikasi dengan menggunakan SVM ketepatan klasifikasi tertinggi dengan menggunakan kernel RBF dan polynomial mencapai 98.11%.

Abstract

Electrical Discharge Machining atau EDM merupakan proses permesinan non-konvensional. Sistem kerja EDM dengan memanfaatkan energi panas dari proses loncatan bunga api listrik (spark) akibat adanya perbedaan muatan di antara elektroda dan benda kerja yang terisi cairan dielektrik. EDM sinking secara digunakan untuk memproduksi mold dan dies. Salah satu material yang digunakan dalam industri pembuatan mold adalah AISI P20. Pada proses pembuatan mold menggunakanEDM sinking perlu memperhatikan laju pengerjaan material yang memiliki karakteristik kualitas semakin besar nilainya maka semakin baik. Nilai laju pengerjaan material yang besar dapat meminimalkan biaya produksi. Metode Taguchi digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan nilai optimal laju pengerjaan material. Desain eksperimen menggunakan orthogonal array L18 untuk mengkombinasikan empat variabel proses yaitu jenis elektroda, gap voltage, on time, dan off time. Berdasarkan hasil analisa setting parameter untuk laju pengerjaan material yang optimal menggunakan tembaga, gap voltage 40 volt, on time 150 μs, dan off time 20 μs.

Abstract

Berdasarkan data statistik Tahun 2014 sektor perikanan Jawa Timur menunjukkan kontribusi yang cukup besar selama 3 Tahunterakhir yaitu Rp.27.520,87 M di Tahun 2012, Rp.32.104,07 M di Tahun 2013, dan Rp. 37.442,32 M di Tahun 2014. Peningkatan ini membuktikan bahwa sektor maritim merupakan salah satu sektor strategis di Indonesia. Potensi sumber daya perikanan ini rata-rata berproduksi sejumlah 362.624 ton/Tahun sehingga sudah selayaknya Jawa Timurmemiliki data perikanan yang terjabarkan secara spesifik dan memberikan manfaat. Maka dari itulah penelitian ini dirasakan perlu dilakukan dengan menggunakan metodefuzzy k-means clustering.Clustering sektor perikanan pada perairan umum di Jawa Timur ini diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi yang berguna untuk menentukan kebijakan yang tearah dan komprehensif, serta membantu pelaku usaha memanfaatkan informasi potensi dan kekurangan sektor perikananpada perairan umum setiap Kabupaten/ Kota dalam rangka pengembangan bisnis.Berdasarkan hasil clustering perikanan umum dengan menggunakan fuzzy k-means, maka didapatkan hasil 3 cluster yang optimum. Cluster 1 terdiri dari Sembilan Kabupaten/ Kota di Jawa Timur yaitu Pacitan, Tulungagung, Malang, Lumajang, Bondowoso, Madiun, Ngawi, Gresik dan Surabaya yang merupakan cluster dengan pengolahan perairan umum terendah dari semua cluster. Cluster2 terdiri dari 3 Kabupaten/ Kota di Jawa Timur yaitu Bojonegoro, Tuban dan Lamongan. Cluster ini merupakan cluster terbaik dalam pengoptimalan potensi perikanan pada perairan umum di Jawa Timur pada Tahun 2016.Cluster 3 ini terdiri dari 26 Kabupaten/ Kota di Jawa Timurmemiliki peringkat ke dua (menengah) dibandingkan dua cluster yang lain, karena cluster ini cukup baik dalam mengelola potensi perikanan tangkappada perairan umumnya.Keywords : Cluster, Fuzzy K-Means, Potensi Sektor Perikanan

Abstract

Introduction: Based on the survey data in one of the PLTUs in East Java from January-November 2019, there were 9.134 findings of non-compliance with PPE. In addition, based on the audit data from October to November 2019, there were 125 findings of non-compliance with the use of PPE. The factors causing this non-compliance could be seen from the characteristics of the workers or could be based on the Health Belief Model (HBM) approach through 6 constructs. Based on these data, this article aimsto analyze a model of factors that have a direct and indirect effect on the use of PPE on PLTU contractor workers in East Java. The researchers used the Health Belief Model approach because the use of PPE for workers is an effort related to healthy behavior in the workplace. Methods: This research was a quantitative research. The total sample was 100 workers from a population of 400 contractors workers, based on the Slovin methodand as a fulfillment of the path analysis requirement. The analyses of direct and indirect effects between variables used a path analysis method. Results: The results of data processing showa direct effect of perceived benefits (t=4,837), cues to action (t=5,990), perceived severity (t=2,131), knowledge (t=3,183), and perceived susceptibility (t=2,212) on the use of PPE, while education iis known to have an indirect effect on the use of PPE through knowledge (t=2,222). Conclusion: Perceived benefits, cues to action, perceived severity, knowledge, and perceived susceptibility have a direct effect on the use of PPE. However, education has an indirect effect on the use of PPE through knowledge.Keywords: health belief model, occupational diseases, path analysis, personal protective equipment

Abstract

Introduction: A steam power plant company is an electric energy production company, utilizing main energy sources such as coal, biomass, and other energies that are related to production process. This company is a big industry that operates 24 hours and have many various steps of production process. It is also supported by a variety of high-risk system equipment such as confined spaces, working at height, hot work, ergonomics, mechanics, and others. This type of work can lead to workers’ unsafe conditions and unsafe acts. One of the causes is the psychological aspects of workers, namely the lack of workers’ awareness and understanding in implementing occupational safety aspects. Workers’ psychology in this study is Psychological Capital (PsyCap) with self-efficacy, hope, optimism, and resilience dimensions. This study aims to analyze PsyCap impacts on safety behavior of contractor workers. Methods: this study was an observational analytic research using cross-sectional approach. The population was all workers in a steam power plant company in units 7&8, totalling 400 contractors. This study was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 101 respondents of contractor workers. The questionnaires consisted of items about self-efficacy, hope, optimism, and resilience dimension of PsyCap and safety compliance and safety participation dimension of safety behavior. The analysis used a Structural Equational Modeling (SEM) method and AMOS software. Results: PsyCap dimensions that impacted on safety behavior was optimism. Conclusion: optimism dimension was the factor that had the strongest impact on safety behavior especially workers’ safety compliance. Meanwhile, other PsyCap dimensions which did not have not impact on safety behavior were safety compliance and safety participation dimensions.Keywords: contractor worker, psychological capital, safety behavior, steam power plant company, structural equational modelling

Abstract

This research aims to obtain optimal value for the surface roughness of the material AISI P20 on the Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) Sinking process. In the present research, the Taguchi method is used to investigate the significant influence of process variables on the machining performance and determine the combination of process variables on the EDM process. Orthogonal array L18 (21 × 33) based on the Taguchi method is chosen for the design of experiment. The experiment is replicated twice to finding out the influence of four process variables such as type of electrode, voltage gap, on-time, and off-time on the response performance. Machining performance is evaluated by surface roughness as a response variable that had quality characteristics, smaller is better. These experimental data were analyzed using the Signal-to-noise ratio and Analysis of Variance. The analysis results show that the surface roughness is influenced by the type of electrode and on time. Combination of process variables to obtain optimal surface roughness are using graphite electrodes, and setting values of gap voltage 40 volt, on-time 250 μs, and off-time 20 μs. This combination of process variables can be applied to the manufacturing process using EDM sinking in order to produce a good quality product that determined based on the surface roughness value.
