Abstract

SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Turi (SMKM 2 Turi) has launched a program for developing Aloe vera as an excellent branding. The development of aloe vera at SMKM 2 Turi has started but the results have not been optimal, due to limited knowledge, insight, and skills of most students and teachers of SMKM 2 Turi, as well as the limited supporting facilities. This community service was conducted to increase the knowledge and skills of teachers and students of SMKM 2 Turi in the development of aloe vera, as well as assistance in the cultivation and processing of crops. Community service programs were conducted using several methods, including community education, science, and technology diffusion, facilitation, consultation, and mentoring. With assistance and guidance from the UMY Team, the development of aloe vera cultivation and processing at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Turi has been carried out quite well, with the result that the population of aloe vera has increased to 2 times the population and various kinds of processed products of drinks, snacks, and health products. These aloe products are used for internal school purposes or Muhammadiyah activities at various events and are sold to the public market because they already have a PIRT license. This activity is not only able to make the school environment more conducive, but it also provides benefits as a learning medium, especially entrepreneurship for students and teachers, and is expected to be an excellent branding for SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Turi.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian ini bermula dari permasalahan yang terjadi di Pesantren X. Permasalahan tersebut berupa bullying. Santri yang tinggal di pesantren melakukan beberapa perilaku yang merupakan indikator dari Bullying. Musyrif di pesantren belum dibekali teknik mengatasi khusus dalam mengatasi permasalahan. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah peningkatan keterampilan pendampingan musyrif melalui metode konseling sebaya. Metode yang diterapkan adalah psikoedukasi pendampingan program konseling sebaya pada musyrif, focus group discussion serta role play. Hasil yang dicapai setelah psikoedukasi adalah terjadi peningkatan skor yang signifikan pada angket pengetahuan konseling oleh musyrif yang mengikuti psikoedukasi. Evaluasi dilakukan pada bulan Mei 2020. Evaluasi dilakukan pada saat musyrif sudah melakukan pendampingan psikologis jarak jauh karena faktor situasi (masa pandemi). Dari hasil evaluasi didapatkan bahwa musyrif melakukan pendampingan psikologi melalui media online. Musyrif juga membentuk konseling sebaya melalui pembelajaran online. Namun tidak berjalan maksimal karena setiap santri berkonsentrasi pada pembelajaran online. Berdasarkan hasil angket didapatkan simpulan bahwa musyrif kesulitan mengobservasi perilaku santri secara langsung sehingga belum dapat disimpulkan progres penurunan perilaku bullying di pesantren.

Abstract

Kronggahan Hamlet Village Polengan District Srumbung Magelang is one of the producers of salak pondoh. How- ever, the problem in mobilizing the economic potential in the local village is the limited number of basket craftsmen to pack the salak harvest. The purpose of this activity is the guidance and assistance of basket making of salak among PKK Mothers with target area of  Kronggahan Hamlet. Methods of this activity include 1) conducting FGDs with local officials; 2) conducting counseling and short demonstration of bamboo shoot baskets; 3) training and mentoring; 4) equipment facilitation; and 5) monitoring and evaluation. The result of the activity is to provide knowledge and training of basket making; informing local officials that people in Srumbung, especially Kronggahan Hamlet need a tool or machine irat (bamboo). Problems in the implementation of basket making activities such as mentoring time is too short; the aid of tools is still limited to manual machines; and the community has not understood the making of baskets until the finishing level. Therefore, the local government needs to prioritize the bottom-up principle of all kinds of assistance as well as programs and continuous mentoring related to the making of baskets massively and intensively to the community. Keywords: PKK group, basket of salak.

Abstract

SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Turi launched the Adiwiyata school program, which is promoting knowledge and awareness about environmental conservation efforts among the student, and one way to make this happen is through the Muhammadiyah Green School (MGS). MGS is a concept that invites all stakeholders to form a lifestyle so that they care more about their environment. The problem is that the insights and skills of most of the stakeholders of SMKM 2 Turi on MGS are still limited. This community service program aims to increase knowledge and skills, and increase student and teacher awareness of the environment. This community service will be carried out in 2021 using a community development and participatory approach. The MGS program at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Turi was conducted with several activities, i.e. coordination, focus group discussions, workshops, implementation, as well as mentoring and monitoring. With assistance from UMY, the MGS can improve the knowledge and skills of students and teachers in running MGS, the school environment is more conducive and productive, can become a medium for character education and cares for a clean and healthy environment, is able to provide space and learning materials for students, and be the first step towards Adiwiyata School

Abstract

The implementation of the 2013 curriculum as a reference in the education process in Indonesia also impacts on the learning model of religious education. The current education curriculum accommodates students' multiple intelligences. This paper aims to uncover the dimensions and implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum based on multiple intelligences at the Elementary School level. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of library research. The results showed that the dimensions of multiple intelligences in the 2013 PAI curriculum at Elementary School level can be seen through the classification of nine intelligences (according to Howard Gadner) in each section of core competence. Spiritual competence contains existential intelligence. Social competence is related to interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence. In the aspect of knowledge includes logical-mathematical intelligence, linguistic intelligence, musical intelligence. On the other hand, competency skills contain visual-spatial intelligence, kinesthetic intelligence, and naturalist intelligence. Implementation of the concept of multiple intelligences in PAI 2013 curriculum learning can be done by recognizing students' multiple intelligences; preparing a draft of learning; develop learning models, and determine the multiple intelligence-based assessment models in the 2013 PAI curriculum at Elementary School level.

Abstract

Indonesia is a large nation with abundant natural resources. Unfortunately, this is not balanced with human resources (especially) in terms of reading literacy which is still low. Though the population of Indonesia is a Muslim majority and the first revelation that comes down is related to the command to read. If we look at the history of Islamic civilization, people in the Abbasid Daula era can be said to have a high literacy reading rate. This is evidenced by the establishment of the largest library in history, Baitul Hikmah. This article aims to find out how to increase interest in reading Indonesian society such as in the Abbasid era. The method used in this study is a literature study with a descriptive analysis approach. The strategy developed by the Abbasid era caliph in terms of increasing literacy reading included establishing many libraries to remote areas, translating books, and providing great rewards for book writers. The current context, in an all-digital era, should Indonesian people be more advanced in terms of literacy reading.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran wanita karir dalam Islam, khususnya pendidikan Islam di era digital. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan sumber pustaka dengan pendekatan analitis dan investigasi. Di dalam sebuah keluarga, seorang wanita memiliki peran sentral dalam pendidikan Islam. Saat ini, banyak wanita memilih berkarier di luar rumah mereka dan di dalam Islam itu diperbolehkan. Sejarah mencatat beberapa wanita yang menjadi istri Nabi juga menjadi wanita karir. Islam memberikan motivasi yang kuat bagi perempuan untuk menjalankan karir mereka di bidang apapun sesuai dengan sifat dan martabat mereka tanpa meninggalkan tugas mereka sebagai ra'iyah fi baiti zaujiha (orang yang bertanggung jawab atas masalah internal rumah tangga). Peran seorang wanita karir di bidang pendidikan Islam adalah sebuah tantangan terlebih di era digital seperti saat ini. Prinsip tauhid merupakan prinsip yang utama dalam pendidikan Islam di masa kini. Keyakinan bahwa Allah adalah satu-satunya Tuhan, mencakup segala hal dan Maha mempunyai Kekuatan Mutlak. Singkat kata, semestinya era digital akan membawa manusia ke dalam keadaan di mana mereka kembali lebih taat dan beriman kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Kuasa. Wanita karir juga memiliki kesempatan dalam mengoptimalkan peran mereka untuk mengangkat nilai tauhid ini, khususnya dalam pendidikan di lingkungan keluarga mereka.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to provide a view of behavioristic learning theory on the online learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic and the implications of behaviorist learning theory on the online learning process. The method used is a literature review with a descriptive qualitative approach. Sources of data obtained from books and journals through a search on Google Scholar. The results of this study indicate that the application of behaviorist theory in online learning is to shape student behavior in a non-face-to-face manner by providing stimulus and student reactions seen from changes in behavior. Even though it is carried out through a screen, the teacher can make habits that contain elements of skills in the learning process. There are advantages of behavioristic theory in online learning, namely teachers become observant of classroom conditions and situations, shape student behavior according to expectations, can replace stimuli if they are not suitable, and are suitable for use on students who are happy with practical lessons. In addition, behavioristic theory also has shortcomings in online learning, namely the teacher s lack of understanding of technology and inadequate internet access and online learning facilities. In addition, the drawback of behavioristic theory is that it makes students passive, and this theory does not see differences in the level of understanding of students even though they have the same ability due to the intelligence factor of students.

Abstract

Kurangnya persiapan yang baik dari guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran yang melibatkan teknologi menjadi kendala sekaligus tantangan di era sekarang ini. Pemanfaatan teknologi dapat mengoptimalkan proses belajar mengajar yang dilakukan oleh guru. Namun pada kenyataannya, sekolah saat ini belum mampu memenuhi standarisasi pemanfaatan teknologi yang baik. Proses pengajaran masih didominasi oleh metode konvensional. Berdasarkan permasalahan di atas, salah satu solusi yang dapat diterapkan adalah dengan meningkatkan kompetensi guru terkait pemanfaatan teknologi informasi. Fokus pelatihan dalam program pengabdian ini adalah pelatihan bagi para pendidik dalam mengoperasikan berbagai variasi media pembelajaran. Program pelatihan dan pendampingan penerapan keterampilan IT bagi guru di dua SD Muhammadiyah telah dilaksanakan dengan baik. Kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi sosialisasi, koordinasi, focus group discussion, workshop, implementasi, pendampingan, monitoring serta evaluasi dalam penerapan teknologi pada proses pembelajaran di sekolah. Hal ini mampu memberikan materi dan ruang belajar bagi siswa yang lebih kondusif dan produktif, sehingga pembelajaran tidak monoton dan lebih menyenangkan. Dengan demikian, tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai secara lebih efektif dan efisien
