Abstract

Uji antagonis Fusarium sp. pada tanaman kangkung belerang terhadap isolat  kitinolitik LT4 telah dilakukan pada Bulan September 2017. Identifikasi dengan gen penyandi 16s rRNA menunjukkan isolat LT4 tergolong bakteri Bacillus subtilis. Zona hambat Bacillus sp pada hari ke- 6 sebesar 1,39 cm. Pengamatan secara mikroskopis setelah dilakukan uji antagonis, Fusarium sp. mengalami keabnormalan hifa seperti hifa menggulung dan hifa lisis.

Abstract

Siguci Village is one of the barangan banana producing villages in North Sumatera. The processing of banana has great prospect as one of business opportunities that increase the income of the local community. One of the processed products that can be made from barangan banana is banana flour the purpose of this training is to increase the understanding of the people of Siguci Villagr about the alternative processing of banana goods into banana flour. The method of implementation is by conducting training and direct assistance in the manufature of banana flour and conducting pre-test dan post-test based on the results of pre-test with an averange value of 23,3 and post-test with an averange value of 65 so it can be concluded that there is an increase in public understanding of the alternative processing of banana goods

Abstract

Desa Siguci Kecamatan STM Hilir, Kabupaten Deli Serdang merupakan salah satu desa penghasil pisang barangan di Sumatera Utara. Selama ini pisang barangan dari desa Siguci hanya dijual tanpa ada pengolahan. Salah satu olahan yang dapat dibuat dari pisang barangan adalah pembuatan nugget pisang yang dapat menjadi salah satu peluang usaha yang meningkatkan penghasilan masyarakat setempat. Metode pelaksanaan yang dilakukan adalah dengan cara melakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan secara langsung pembuatan nugget pisang, uji kandungan lemak, karbohidrat, protein dan uji organoleptik nugget pisang. Hasil analisis kimia nugget pisang mengandung 19.4% total lemak, 1,23% karbohidrat dan 1,84% protein.berdasarkan tes organoleptik nugget pisang menunjukkan bahwa 100% sangat suka warna, aroma dan 80% suka rasa dari nugget pisang.

Abstract

Peneletian tentang Daya Terima Keripik Kangkung Belerang Dengan Penggorengan Menggunakan Minyak Curah telah dilakukan pada Bulan April – Agustus 2018. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan analisis kimia pada keripik kangkung belerang dengan menggunakan minyak curah meliputi, kadar air, kadar abu, kadar sulfur, kadar lemak, kadar karbohidrat, kadar protein dan bilangan peroksida dan untuk mengetahui masa simpan, uji hedonik meliputi aroma, rasa, tekstur dan warna. Kadar air, kadar abu, kadar sulfur, kadar lemak, kadar karbohidrat, kadar protein dan bilangan peroksida meliputi 0,15%; 87,64%; 54,25%; 6,75%; 5,01%; 14,31% dan 7,18 meq/kg. Bilangan peroksida pada kondisi terpapar matahari meningkat yakni hari ke-0 sebesar 7,18 meq/kg dengan tekstur keripik kangkung belerang yang renyah dan hari ke-18 sebesar 59,15 meq/kg dengan tekstur keripik kangkung belerang tidak renyah dan tengik. Uji hedonik yang dilakukan oleh 20 panelis tidak terlatih menunjukkan bahwa aroma, rasa dan warna disukai dengan tekstur yang renyah. Kata kunci: analisis kimia, daya terima, kangkung belerang

Abstract

The problem of sanitation and hygiene is one of the problems faced by many people in Indonesia, especially in the current state of the Covid 19 pandemic. Not to mention the thing that is faced by the people of the Mabar village, Medan Deli sub-district, Medan City is the poor sanitation and hygiene of the community, especially those who live in dense settlements, so it is necessary to campaign for healthy living behaviors, one of which is through counseling on healthy living behaviors in maintaining personal health during the COVID-19 pandemic. and accompanied by training in the manufacture of antibacterial soap to increase public interest and awareness regarding the importance of healthy living. Soap products have developed into a primary need in today's society. These products are used every day by all levels of society, both upper, middle, and lower classes. The partners involved in community service are community groups in Neighborhood IX, Mabar sub-district, Medan Deli sub-district, Medan City. which is quite potential to be developed through a training program for making antibacterial herbal soaps, one of which is made from ketepeng leaves and betel leaves which are widely believed by the community to be effective in curing skin diseases. Several studies have proven that ketepeng and betel leaves have high antibacterial activity which have the potential to be developed into antibacterial soap products.Housewives and teenagers of productive age who are the targets of this service do not yet have productive activities. This training program is expected to provide business opportunities to the community so that it can improve the economy. The soap products produced can be used to meet household needs or can be sold to the surrounding community. With training in making antibacterial herbal soaps, expenses can be reduced and even can improve the household economy.

Abstract

White chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum morifolium (Ramat.) Hemsl.) is an ornamental plant cultivated in Raya Village, Berastagi, North Sumatera which has potential as an antifungal. In this study, the antifungal activity test used agar diffusion method with paper disc as media in various concentrations, namely 500; 250; 50;10; 5; 2.5; 1.25; 0.625 mg/ml with positive control of ketoconazole and negative control of DMSO. Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) of ethanol extract of white chrysanthemum leaves against Candida albicans and Pityrosporum ovale at a concentration of 10 mg/ml with inhibition zone diameters of 6.83 mm and 7.76 mm

Abstract

Teaching, carrying out research for the development of science and applying knowledge, all three of which form a single unit known as the Tridharma of Higher Education. Community service is the third dharma of the Tridharma of Higher Education. The existence of community service is actually very important both for the management of the tertiary institution as well as for the existence of the tertiary institution in the community. The community service carried out is "Training on Making Complementary Food for Breastfeeding and Stunting Prevention Counseling Through the Android-Based "Healthy Children" Digital Application in Petapahan Village, Lubuk Pakam District, Deli Serdang Regency" The target group is mothers who have babies aged 12 months to 5 years in Posyandu Working area Petapahan Village, Lubuk Pakam District. Toddlerhood is an important period in the process of human development. Development and growth at that time determines the success of the growth and development of children in the next period. The period of growth and development at this age is a period that takes place quickly and will never be repeated, because it is often called the golden age or the golden age. Therefore, with this PkM activity, it can increase mother's awareness to pay attention to child development and prevent stunting.

Abstract

This community service aims to provide education about stunting and its prevention in order to increase awareness of mothers so that they can help their children in a period of normal growth and development while reducing the incidence of stunting in Indonesia. This community service activity is carried out by providing counseling related to stunting prevention and filling out questionnaires, especially for mothers who have babies aged 12 months to 5 years at Posyandu Anggrek to determine the effect of this activity on the level of knowledge of mothers regarding stunting issues.The community service carried out is " Evaluation of Mother's Knowledge about Stunting and Observation of Stunting incidents based on the growth of Toddlers at Posyandu Anggrek in Petapahan Village, Lubuk Pakam District, Deli Serdang Regency" The target group is mothers who have babies aged 12 months to 5 years in Posyandu Working area Petapahan Village, Lubuk Pakam District.
