In general, research findings indicate that the furniture sector SMEs in Java are prepared to adopt IT. However, research findings also indicate that the perception of discomfort and insecurity is a major issue that has the potential to hinder IT adoption by the furniture sector SMEs. Implications for stakeholders and empirical research are discussed further.

Abstract

Background: Big data technology has been used in several sectors in Indonesia. Adoption of big technology provides great potential for research, especially achievement in the implementation of big data in manufacturing companies. The Data Warehousing Institute (TDWI) Maturity Model is a tool that can be used to measure the state of "As-is" implementation of big data using 5 main dimensions. Maturity level shows the level of organizational ability to adjust big data technology currently. Objective: This study aims to measure the level of maturity in the implementation of big data technology in manufacturing companies PT. XYZ. This measurement is considered very important because it can know the process of managing data that is structured and has a high volume of data and provides more transparent reporting. This can help the company in making decisions that provide good information, so the company can increase the trust of stakeholders. Methods: This study uses qualitative methods to analyze research data using TWDI Maturity Model tools. Interview technique is used to retrieve respondent data where interview preparation guidelines are made by paying attention to 5 dimensions and 50 indicators in TDWI.Results: The research showed that the implementation of big data technology in the company as a whole has reached the level of corporate adoption. Infrastructure, data management, and analytics dimensions have reached the corporate adoption level while the organizational and governance dimensions are still at an early adoption level. Conclusion: To measure the maturity level of adoption of big data technology in manufacturing companies can use qualitative methods with TDWI Maturity model tools, interview guides for data retrieval by considering the 5 dimensions and 50 indicators that exist in TDWI.

Abstract

Background: Maintaining student motivation, involvement and consistency in a learning process is a challenge that must be faced by teachers / educators. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, this limits learning activities in online form. Teachers / educators need additional skills to be able to manage classes, deliver material and maintain student motivation. Objective: This community service aims to improve the skills of teachers / educators to provide interactive learning and evaluation media based on game learning. Methods: The methods used in this community service activity were training and focus group discussions. Furthermore, the participants prepared the Kahoot quiz material independently according to the subjects they were teaching them. Result: The result of this training activity is an increase in the skills of teachers / educators in mastering Kahoot, and an increase in teacher / educator understanding of the Kahoot material. This can be seen from the occasional increase of 15.97% after the training was completed. The training participants were satisfied with the implementation of the training as evidenced by filling out the feedback questionnaire, with a satisfaction score above 3.5 out of 4. Conclusion: This community service has a positive impact on skills and understanding related to the use of Kahoot for interactive learning and evaluation media.

Abstract

Catering is a business that focuses on catering services in Surabaya and its surroundings. So far, the ordering process has been recorded in Whatsapp messages and google form, then re-recorded in spreadsheet. Aisya Catering wants to develop the ordering process and provide convenience for potential customers and Aisya Catering itself by creating a system where orders from customers can be directly entered into the system and the status can be seen easily and neatly. The organization considers that this will make existing business processes easier and organized. Thus, this final project is proposed to build an Order and Payment Information System for Aisya Catering Surabaya, then it can be used by the organization concerned to support its business processes to be more optimal. This system handles two main processes as the title suggests: the ordering process and the payment process. There are five stages through the development of building Aisya’s system based on SDLC. Firstly, knowing the needs by interviewing stakeholders to define the existing problem. Second, analyze the existing system problem and its new requirements with the help of Document Flow Diagram (DocFlow) and Fishbone Diagram. Third, design the new system using Tier Diagram (HIPO Diagram) and Data Flow Diagram (DFD), Conceptual Data Model (CDM) produces 8 entities, Physical Data Model (PDM) generates 10 tables in total, then process with designing input and output forms. Fourth, adjust the system design workflow illustrated in flowcharts, and implement it into a web-based program using Laravel 8.14 framework. And the last stage is testing the system program. Based on the implementation and testing results, the order and payment information system for Aisya Catering Surabaya has been in accordance and met with the predefined functional requirements of the testing process.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that emerged in 2019, in wuhan, Hubei province, China has spread almost throughout the world, including Indonesia. The impact of the virus is that the government has issued public policies, which include social distancing, social isolation, and self-quarantine. Various sectors must implement the policy. Several companies in Indonesia have to enforce working from home for all their employees, including educational institutions in Indonesia, from the level of Playgroups, Early Childhood Education, Kindergartens, Elementary Schools, Junior High Schools, Public High Schools or Senior High Schools. Vocational High Schools and Universities also apply an online learning process from home. Information Technology provides solutions for the education system in Indonesia in these difficult times, so that the learning process can continue. In previous studies, an exploration of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model with social isolation variables, and corona fear moderating variables was carried out on the Behavioral Intentions of the Learning Management System and the Behavior of the Use of Learning Management Systems among General or Vocational High School students. Data analysis using Smart Partial Least Square (PLS) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings show a positive relationship of Performance Expectations (PE), Effort Expectations (EE), Social Influence (SI), and Social Isolation on LMS Behavioral Intentions and, also between LMS Behavioral Intentions and Use Behavior. In addition, the results of the moderation analysis show that the fear of Corona only moderates the relationship between Performance Expectations and Social Influences with LMS Behavioral Intentions. The findings imply the need to increase the behavioral intentions of LMS users among college students or students.
