Abstract

Geometri menempati posisi khusus dalam kurikulum matematika sekolah, karena banyaknya konsep yang termuat di dalamnya dan aplikasinya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pada dasarnya geometri mempunyai peluang yang lebih besar untuk dipahami siswa dibandingkan dengan cabang matematika yang lain, namun bukti- bukti di lapangan menunjukkan  bahwa  hasil  belajar  geometri  masih  rendah. Maka itu penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk  mengevaluasi  hasil  pembelajaran  matematika materi  geometri menggunakan teori Van Hile yang diterapkan guru sesaui kurikulum 2013. Metode penelitian yaitu deskriptif dengan cara pengambilan  sampel  dilakukan     dengan  menggunakan  metode  pengambilan sampel secara purposive (purposive sampling) yang bersumber dari populasi penelitian. Pengambilan sampel berdasarkanpada daerah tempat guru mengajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan penerapam tahap pembelajaran Van Hiele dapat membantu siswa SD dalam memahami konsep dasar geometri sesuai kurikulum 2013.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan penguasaan diksi dengan keterampilan berbicara di depan kelas pada siswa kelas X MAS Al-Washliyah Siajam Kecamatan Sei Balai Kabupaten Batu Bara Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. Jenis penelitian ini adalah korelasi dengan desain variabel X, variabel Y dan O hubungan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X yang berjumlah 30 orang. Sampel penelitian seluruh jumlah populasi yaitu 30 orang. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah tes tertulis dan unjuk kerja. Setelah melaksanakan penelitian hubungan penguasaan diksi dengan keterampilan berbicara di depan kelas pada siswa kelas X MAS Al-washliyah Siajam Kecamatan Sei Balai Kabupaten Batu Bara Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. Diperoleh hasil nilai rata-rata (mean) penguasaan diksi= 71,5 dan nilai rata-rata keterampilan berbicara di depan kelas= 72,8. Diperoleh rxy= 0,88 apabila dibandingkan dengan kritik rtabel= 0,463 pada taraf signifikan 90% ternyata mempunyai hubungan yang tinggi, harga  rxy lebih besar dari rtabel. Hasil perhitungan ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara kedua variabel. Artinya hipotesis alternatif yaitu ada hubungan penguasaan diksi dengan keterampilan berbicara di depan kelas siswa kelas X MAS Al- Washliayah Siajam Kecamatan Sei Balai Kabupaten Batu Bara Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018, maka Ha yang telah dirumuskan dapat diterima kebenarannya. Hal ini diketahui dari rtabel pada taraf signifikan α 0,90 (90%) dengan N 30 sebesar 0,463 rhitung>rtabel.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the teacher's ineffectiveness in using instructional media and is only based on the accuracy in selecting it for each lesson carried out in class. The aims of the study were, 1) To find out the listening skills of class XI students of SMA N 1 Kisaran, 2) To find out the use of audio-visual media in Indonesian language learning students, class XI SMA N 1 Kisaran 3) To find out the improvement in listening skills of students of class XI SMA N 1 Kisaran in learning Indonesian after using audio-visual media. The research approach uses qualitative methods with Classroom Action Research which consists of three cycles (Pre-Cycle, Cycle 1, Cycle 2). The instruments used were observation sheets, test questions (test and re-test), interview guidelines, and documentation studies. The sample size of the study was 35 students of class XI SMA N 1 Kisaran. The results showed an increase in the average score of the final listening test after receiving treatment on the effectiveness of the use of audiovisual media from each cycle. The results of the study were also taken from the results of the partner teacher's assessment (observer) that the research found good results from pre-cycle to cycle 2 and there was no need to continue research into the next cycle. Teacher creativity in terms of improving learning outcomes needs to be considered in every use of learning media, especially the use of audiovisual media in learning to listen to Indonesian language education subjects.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the sociological approach to literature and to know the cultural values in the novel Mejuang by J.S Khairen. The object of this research is the novel Mejuang by J.S Khairen first published in March 2020. The research method used is descriptive qualitative which analyzes the sociology of literature approach and the meaning of cultural values. The data in this study are text excerpts in sentences found in the novel Mejuang by J.S Khairen. Data were analyzed using the Analysis Interactive model technique from Miles and Huberman (1994:12) which divided the analysis activities into several parts, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or data verification. The results of this study indicate that the cultural value contained in the novel Mejuang by J.S Khairen is knowledge that includes knowledge, namely education. Beliefs that include belief in large stones, mystical beliefs of evil spirits and beliefs in messages from ancestral spirits. Morals that include sympathizing, big-hearted, honest, full of compassion. Law that includes customary law and statutory law. Customs which include the custom of wearing Sumbanese woven cloth, traditional ceremonies, the custom of eating betel nut, traditional houses, kissing the nose, customary eldest father, horse fights, custom of Sumba Wolla Mpadu and Pasola holidays, hamayang pray to ancestral spirits.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how the form of application and deviation of politeness principles in Leech language in a family environment of speakers in Tanjung Balai dialect. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data in this study are utterances spoken by fellow family member that show the forms of application and deviations of the principle of politeness in language. The results of this study indicate that the principle of language politeness is not always applied when communicating in everyday life by fellow family members. The politeness principle in question is the politeness principle developed by Leech, including: (1) field maxim, (2) generosity maxim, (3) appreciation maxim, (4) modesty maxim, (5) agreement maxim and (6) sympathy maxim. Thus utterances that deviate from Leech's politeness principle are more commonly found when communicating in the family environment, for in one family thats used as research, they pay little attention to the principles of politeness while talking between speakers and speech partners and the context/situation when communicating.Â
