Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan penerapan ipteks ini adalah 1) meningkatkan pemahaman guru terhadap model pembelajaran, 2) meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran. Adapun yang menjadi subjek dalam pengabdian ini adalah guru-guru MGMP Matematika Kluster 12 Kabupaten Banyumas, dengan lama pelaksanaan kegiatan empat bulan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui pemberian informasi melalui presentasi tentang model pembelajaran, diskusi, serta membahas kelebihan, kelemahan, dan evaluasi. Kemudian peserta menyaksikan bersama simulasi/ penerapan dari salah satu model pembelajaran. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah 1) meningkatnya pemahaman guru terhadap model pembelajaran matematika 2) meningkatnya keterampilan guru dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran.Kata Kunci: Matematika, Model, Pelatihan, Pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika melalui quantum teaching model pada mata kuliah runtun waktu yang berjumlah 48 mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari 3 siklus. Tahapan dalam setiap siklusnya meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, evaluasi dan refleksi. Untuk memperoleh data kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes yang diberikan setiap akhir siklus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata tes evaluasi pemahaman konsep matematika pada siklus 1 sebesar 59,08 yang termasuk dalam kriteria baik dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 40%, pada siklus 2 sebesar 66,62 yang termasuk dalam kriteria baik dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 60% dan pada siklus 3 sebesar 77,02 yang termasuk dalam kriteria baik dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 88%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman konsep matematika siswa meningkat. Kata kunci : Model Pembelajaran Kuantum, Pemahaman, Konsep

Abstract

Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa dengan metode k-means clustering melalui model problem based learning pada mata kuliah pengembangan media komputer. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari 3 siklus. Untuk memperoleh data kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa menggunakan tes pada setiap akhir siklus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa pada mata kuliah pengembangan media komputer meningkat. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan nilai pemahaman kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa pada siklus 1 terdiri dari cluster 1 beranggotakan 22, cluster-2 beranggotakan 2, dan cluster-3 beranggotakan 1 mahasiswa dengan jarak minimum antar pusat cluster yang terjadi dari hasil iterasi adalah 1,252. Pada siklus 2 terdiri dari cluster-1 beranggotakan 4, cluster-2 beranggotakan 13, dan pada cluster-3 terdapat beranggotakan 8 mahasiswa dengan jarak minimum antar pusat cluster yang terjadi dari hasil iterasi adalah 1,527. Pada siklus 3 terdiri dari cluster-1 beranggotakan 7, cluster-2 beranggotakan 13, dan pada cluster-3 terdapat beranggotakan 5 mahasiswa dengan jarak minimum antar pusat cluster yang terjadi dari hasil iterasi adalah 1,521. Nilai rata-rata tes kemampuan komunikasi matematika mahasiswa pada siklus 1, siklus 2, dan siklus 3 mengalami peningkatan, dimana pada siklus 1 diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 24,84 termasuk kriteria kurang dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 4%, pada siklus 2 nilai rata-ratanya sebesar 47,56 termasuk kriteria cukup dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 32% dan pada siklus 3 diperoleh nilai rata-rata 64,92 termasuk kriteria baik dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 60%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa meningkat.Kata kunci: Komunikasi Matematis, Problem Based Learning, K-Means Clustering Abstract. This research aims to improve the ability in mathematic communication of the students with the method of k-means clustering through problem based learning model on the courses of computer media development. This research is a classroom action research that consists of 3 cycles. To obtain the data of the ability in mathematic communication of the students used test at the end of each cycle. Based on the research results, the ability in mathematic communication of the students on the courses of computer media development increased. This is demonstrated by an increased understanding of the value of mathematical communication ability of students in cycle 1 there is cluster-1 consists of 22, cluster-2 consists of 2, and cluster-3 consists of 1 student with a minimum distance between the center of the clusters that occur from the results of the iteration was 1.252. On cycle 2 there is cluster-1 consists of 4, cluster-2 consists of 13, and cluster-3 consists of 8 student with a minimum distance between the center of the clusters that occur from the results of the iteration was 1.527.  On cycle 3 there is cluster-1 consists of 7, cluster-2 consists of 13, and cluster-3 consists of 5 student with a minimum distance between the center of the clusters that occur from the results of the iteration was 1.521. The average value of mathematical communication ability tests of students in cycle 1, cycle 2, and cycle 3 has increase, where in the cycle 1 obtained average value of 24.84 including criteria less with percentage by 4%, on the average value of cycle 2 of 47.56 including the criteria fair with percentage of 32% and study on cycle 3 obtained average value of 64.92 including the criteria good with percentage of 60%. It can be concluded that the ability of mathematical communication students increased.Keywords: Mathematical Communication, Problem Based Learning, K-Means Clustering

Abstract

Quadratic function is one of the important topic in mathematics. The purpose of this study is to describe the mistakes made by students when drawing a quadratic function graph. In this research, the focus of the problem is what type of mistakes made by students in drawing a graph of quadratic functions. The form of error here referred to an error in doing the exercise of drawing quadratic function graph in learning with the PBL model using a true or false strategy assisted by GeoGebra application. The conclusion of this research states that the error in drawing quadratic function graph is dominated by procedural errors. PBL model with true or false strategy with the help of GeoGebra application can be an alternative learning to overcome students' mistakes in drawing quadratic function graphs

Abstract

This research aimed to describe students' mathematical creative thinking ability at SMPNegeri 1 Sumbang. This research belongs to descriptive qualitative research. The subjects ofthis research were the students Grade VII G of SMP Negeri 1 Sumbang. The samples weretaken using purposive sampling technique. The data were collected using questionnaire, test,interview, and documentation. The data validity test used in this research was triangulation.The results of this research illustrate that: 1) Low category students could meet one indicatorof mathematic creative thinking ability i.e. fluency. Their learning motivation was good. Theypreferred to learn in a group. They were enthusiastic when they were given awards during theinstruction. 2) Medium category students could meet two indicators of mathematic creativethinking ability i.e. fluency and flexibility. Their learning motivation was very good. Theywere active during the instruction and they preferred to work autonomously. They sometimesreviewed the lesson that had been learned at school. 3) High category students could mastermathematic creative thinking ability i.e. fluency and flexibility. Their learning motivation wasvery good. When they met hard questions, they would try to solve the problems well. Duringthe instruction, they were active and they preferred to work autonomously.KEY WORDS: Mathematical Creative Thinking, Learning Motivation

Abstract

This study aims to determine the activities of students in learning subjects through True or False strategy of graph theory by media index cards. Observations show a more focused student activity because students already know the material of what will be learned through the index cards that they get in early learning, and they also know the form of matter or issue that they get when studying the learning material on which they will carry. Students focus on the material presented by the lecturers. At the end of the students' learning spirit in concluding that material has been obtained. Abstract

Penelitian dan Pengembangan ini difokuskan untuk mengembangkan modul statistika deskriptif berbasis pemecahan masalah. Modul dikembangkan menggunakan tahapan perencanaan, perancangan, dan pengembangan yang diadopsi dari model pengembangan Thiagarajan. Modul dikatakan valid berdasarkan penilaian validator; dikatakan praktis berdasarkan hasil angket respon mahasiswa; dan dikatakan efektif berdasarkan hasil ujicoba modul berbasis pemecahan masalah. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa modul memenuhi kevalidan dengan rata-rata 3,45 dari rata-rata maksimal 4,00. Hasil angket respon memenuhi kriteria kepraktisan dengan rata-rata 4,47 dari rata-rata maksimal 5,00. Sedangkan hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa memenuhi kriteria keefektifan yang ditunjukkan dari hasil uji One-Sampel t-Test bahwa pemecahan masalah mahasiswa telah mencapai KKM yang ditentukan. Berdasarkan ketiga hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa modul berbasis pemecahan masalah memenuhi ketiga kriteria tersebut, yaitu: valid, praktis, dan efektif. Research and development are focused on developing descriptive statistics based on problem-solving modules. Modules produced using the stages of planning, design, and development adopted from the Thiagarajan development model. Modules are said to be valid based on validator ratings. They are supposed to practice based on the results of the student response questionnaire; and assumed to be effective based on the results of the module-based problem-solving trials. The validation results show that the module meets validity with an average of 3.45 out of a maximum of 4.00. The response questionnaire's results matched the practicality criteria, with an average of 4.47 out of a maximum of 5.00. While the test results of students ' problem-solving abilities meet the effectiveness criteria shown from the results of the One-Sample t-Test that students' problem solving has reached the specified KKM. Based on the three results show that the problem-based module meets the three criteria, namely: valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Group Investigation (GI). Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII B SMP Ma’arif NU 1 Ajibarang Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019 yang berjumlah 32 siswa, terdiri dari 20 laki-laki dan 12 perempuan. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari 3 siklus dimana setiap siklusnya terdiri dari 2 pertemuan. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, refleksi. Instrumen untuk mengukur kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa menggunakan tes evaluasi yang diberikan pada setiap akhir siklus. Berdasarkan hasil tes diperoleh peningkatan rata-rata setiap siklus sebesar 17,06 dengan rincian nilai rata-rata tes evaluasi siklus I yaitu 61,41 (kriteria baik), nilai rata-rata tes evaluasi siklus II yaitu 74,94 (kriteria baik) dan nilai rata-rata tes evaluasi siklus III yaitu 82 (kriteria sangat baik). Dalam penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Group Investigation (GI) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas VII B SMP Ma’arif NU 1 Ajibarang.

Abstract

The study aims to describe the students ' critical thinking skills reviewed by self-reliance learning. The research methods used are qualitative descriptive. The research subject is a grade VIII A student of SMP Negeri 3 Kalibagor which amounted to 28 people. Sampling is performed using the purposive sampling technique. In one class, selected two students with the category of the self-reliance learned to be seen, three students with the category of the self-reliance began to develop, and two students with a category of self-reliance learning culture. Collection of data using polls, tests, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing concluding. The validation test used is triangulation. The results showed that more than 80% of the students who had already filled in learning independence poll included categories began to develop. Students of self-reliance category learning culture have a better critical thinking ability compared to the students ' categories begin to look and start developing. However, students with these three learning self-reliance categories do not master the evaluation capability indicator.

Abstract

. Lesson Study (LS) is the learning of assessment activities carried out by a group of teachers / faculty collaborative and sustainable to test and improve the effectiveness of learning. In this study, the implementation of lesson study to improve student interest in learning through the learning method Seminars Group. The results obtained by analysis of the average increase student interest in learning. Cycle 1 gained an average interest of students 67, 86 in the category of high interest in learning. In the first cycle of the findings of the observer focused on seating position make it difficult for the observer to move and students still do not concentrate on learning. Seat that is positioned in groups. Cycle 2 gained an average of 70.78 in the category of student interest high interest in learning. In Cycle 2 focused on the position of the seat. Apparently after the seat is positioned to the observer, the motion less students, so many students are easily sleepy and easier to jaw, with no attention to the lecturer. Cycle 3 gained an average of 72.59 students' interest in the category of high interest. In the do cycle 3, the observer gain some findings that many students were late, and there are still some students who own story. This is possible because they are too short presentation and question focus. Suggestions observer, lecturer models the moderator in the learning process. Cycle 4 gained an average of 72.71 in the category of student interest high interest in learning. Learning is in conformity with the plan, but there are still students who do the work of other subjects. This is a model professor responded by asking questions that make students think, re-concentration of students with learning again.
