Abstract

Bali is one of the provinces in Indonesia that has a Diabetes Mellitus rate above the national prevalence. According to the results of the 2020 study, 56.9% of DM patients did not understand diet education and did not comply with the diet by 56.9% with abnormal blood glucose levels of 63.9%. The results confirmed that repeated exposure with the right method, especially with The theoretical model is very effective in increasing knowledge and adherence to diet and chromium consumption patterns in DM patients. Chromium is effective in improving blood glucose levels in people with Diabetes Mellitus (Types 1 and 2). Chromium improves glucose metabolism in patients with prediabetic glucose intolerance and all women with gestational diabetes. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of nutrition education using a transtheoretical model and the effect of chromium picolinate supplementation on dietary adherence behavior, chromium consumption patterns, and blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes mellitus. This type of research is quasi-experimental. The research design used was one group pretest-posttest. This design does not use a comparison group (control) but uses the first observation (pretest) which allows testing the changes that occur after the experiment or program (Notoatmodjo, 2010). The study was conducted at the Denpasar Health Center. The results showed that there were differences in the level of knowledge and consumption of chromium and blood glucose levels in DM patients. However, there was no difference in the attitude and level of dietary compliance of DM patients.

Abstract

Cervical cancer that arise due to the growth of abnormal tissue cells attack the cervix. Cervical cancer ranks second most among women in Indonesia with an average death of 23.4 per 100,000 population. One factor that causes cervical cancer is the consumption pattern of animal protein and fat. The purpose of this study was to determine patterns of consumption of animal protein and fat as risk factors for cervical cancer in Wangaya Denpasar Hospital. This type of research is a case control conducted in January-March 2020. The population of the case study was all female patients suffering from cervical cancer in the Wangaya Denpasar Hospital Welfare Clinic with 10 subjects and 10 controls. This sampling technique with non-probability random sampling technique is the purposive method.  Analysis of the data used by using the Chi-Square statistical test and Odds Ratio. Based on the results of statistical tests found a significant relationship between the amount of animal protein with cervical cancer incidence (p = 0.04), there is no significant relationship between the type and frequency of animal protein with cervical cancer incidence (p1 = 0.063, p2 = 0.064). Significant relationship between types of fat with cervical cancer incidence (p = 0.03), there is no significant relationship between the amount and frequency of fat with cervical cancer incidence (p1 = 0.154, p2 = 0.36). The amount, type and frequency of animal protein has no risk of cervical cancer, nor does the amount, type and frequency of fat have a risk of cervical cancer. Keywords: consumption patterns of fat and protein of animals, cervical cancer, risk factors

Abstract

Hypertension or better known as high blood pressure is a chronic disease due to excessive and insistent blood pressure on the arteries. Associated with hypertension and at risk of overcoming health problems After conducting several assessments, blood pressure values that indicate high blood pressure 140 mmHg and diastolic 90 mmHg. Hypertension continues to increase every year. Natrium consumption tightly increases blood pressure in hypertensive patients because consuming excess natrium causes thirst and encourages drinking, this increases the volume of blood in the body which means the heart has to pump more actively increasing blood pressure. This study discusses the level of natrium consumption and blood pressure in hypertensive patients at the Tabanan III Health Center. This type of research is observational research with cross sectional design and consecutive sampling techniques. The number of samples issued is 20 samples. From the research that has been done, from 20 samples have good natrium consumption level, samples with good natrium consumption category with uncontrolled blood pressure are 11 samples (100%) and good natrium consumption level with controlled blood pressure are 9 samples (100%).Keywords: blood pressure, natrium consumption, hypertension
