Conversation is a pivotal spoken discourse needs to be practiced by EFL learners in the classroom. The successful of conversation can be achieved through turn taking strategies as the important part of the conversation. In fact, the way of EFL learners’ turn taking strategies is influenced by the social context where it is employed. This study is aimed at examining social contexts based on how EFL learners’ social personality and power influence their turn taking strategies during the interaction in English conversation class. Since this study depicts naturally occurring interaction, a qualitative approach is applied. By conducting participant observation, the data is gained from EFL learners spoken interactions by using audio recording. The findings reveal that turn taking strategy employed by the learners result their different personality. Besides, the role of power also reflects the participants’ social roles. The higher the status of participants, the more influence the language is in face-to-face interaction. In conclusion, the intertwined of language and social context is beneficial for the learners to motivate them in functioning the language.

Hesitation is the phenomenon when people have speech disfluency in structuring sentences. English Conversation Club is one of the domains where hesitation phenomena occur among EFL learners that practicing their conversation. This study examines the hesitation phenomena and why the members are being hesitated during the interaction. Rose’s theory of taxonomy of hesitation phenomena (2012) is adopted. The approach used is the qualitative approach. Besides, the writer is also the participant observation to collect the data by recording and taking notes. This study resulted that most of the hesitation phenomena are found in the conversation conducted by the learners. The reason for being hesitant is unable to express the language and poor communication skills. Those occur spontaneously and naturally due to the reason that the processing of language in the brain is not as easy as it is produced directly.

East Java Province has great tourism potential with tourism-based development that can provide economic growth for East Java Province. It is as an effort to maintain the existence of tourism development and government transportation policies through various tourist destinations and complete new infrastructure. With the rapid development of tourism, the tourism sub-sector makes a major contribution to local government revenues. So, the purpose of this study is to determine the results of the analysis of tourism policy and transportation policy. In the identification, it was found that the transportation variable plays a major role in tourism growth which also affects the economic growth of the surrounding community and the region so that the poverty rate decreases. The results of the study show that of the 13 selected variables have a significant influence on the value of supporting factors for tourism transportation policies, this reflects that among the variables proposed as the role of the government to facilitate the implementation of good tourism for tourism development and government policies, and the results turned out to have an effect on the management of tourist destinations in the implementation of tourism in East Java. Thus, the results of the median and std deviation are fully supported.

The Covid-19 pandemic caused a drop in sales at the Songkok Belimbing MSME in Sukorejo Village, Karangbinangun District, Lamongan Regency, prompting this community service. The activities are carried out in conjunction with teaching about the importance of social media marketing. Mentoring takes place in addition to theory and includes hands-on experience with Facebook and Instagram. As a result of this program, students have gained a better understanding of how to use and optimize social media sites like Facebook and Instagram. The consequence is that Songkok Belimbing SMEs can utilize social media as a marketing strategy to boost Songkok Starfruit sales

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness and contribution of Entertainment Tax revenue to Lamongan Regency's Original Regional Revenue in 2017-2020. Data collection technique used was documentation and data analysis techniques used were descriptive data analysis, effectiveness analysis, and contribution analysis. The results of the study showed that the realization of the entertainment tax on Lamongan Regency's Regional Original Income in 2017-2020 was very effective according to the standards that has been set, showing the average annual effectiveness of 111%. With the highest level of effectiveness of Entertainment Tax receipts in 2017 which was 229%. The lowest level of entertainment tax revenue effectiveness in 2020, which was 43%. The contribution of entertainment tax to Lamongan Regency's Regional Original Income in 2017-2020 was very less in accordance with the standards that have been set, showing the average annual contribution of 2%. with the highest level of Entertainment Tax Contribution in 2017 at 4% and the lowest Entertainment Tax contribution in 2020 at 1%. In the future, the Lamongan BAPENDA office should have good relations between taxpayers, and provide stricter sanctions to taxpayers who violate

Indonesia is rich for its natural resource potential and cultural diversity, in particular, East Java Province is well-known for its tourism. As an effort to develop tourism, the E-Government management of East Java Province establishes the policies regarding tourism development. In the development of tourism, the East Java Provincial Government cannot be separated from the principles of sustainable development. This study aims to describe and analyze the role of the East Java Provincial Government in implementing tourism development policies based on community responses and various stakeholders in the tourism environment. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. Sources of data used are primary data (questionnaires) via online, and secondary data (interviews and documentation). The results of this study found that the implementation of tourism development policies in East Java Province received the responses from the society and various stakeholders with good E-Government Management principles, through improving: (1) service quality, (2) transportation quality, ( 3) quality road access, (4) security, (5) information transparency, (6) innovation strategy, (7) rule of law and (8) policy quality. In addition, the East Java Provincial Government must play an active role in implementing these policies as a general policy maker and licensing regulation, as well as policies that favor the society and control private parties investing in East Java Province.

Myth is a classic story about heroes who explain the origins of natural occurrences. Myth is not always given historically since the modern one will continue to evolve and impact cinema creation. This study aimed to look at the categorization of Campbell's "hero's journey" and the archetypal symbols under Segal's theory, as provided by the main character in the Alice in Wonderland film. The data for this study was taken from a plotline in Woolverton's Alice in Wonderland. The study's findings suggested that the film had a tight relationship with a myth. The primary characters, including Alice, the Red Queen, and the White Queen, symbolized archetypal emblems of light and evil. Alice could eventually complete the hero's journey, beginning with departure, reaching a climax in the initiation stage, and reaching the return stage as the significant point of the movie's plot and the same fundamental structure in the myths.

Kemampuan berliterasi pada peserta didik merupakan ketrampilan membaca yang berkaitan erat dengan kemampuan memahami informasi secara analitis, kritis dan reflektif. Akan tetapi, praktik pendidikan yang dilaksanakan di sekolah belum mencerminkan fungsi sekolah sebagai organisasi pembelajaran yang menjadikan peserta didik terampil berliterasi. Skor PISA Indonesia pada 2018 berada pada posisi yang sangat memprihatinkan. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Indonesia mengembangkan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) yang melibatkan semua satuan pendidikan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melaksanakan kegiatan dan pendampingan literasi Sekolah Dasar di SD Muhammadiyah 22 Surabaya. Metode yg digunakan adalah pemaparan teori dan praktek dengan tiga tahapan yakni, tahapan sosialisasi, kegiatan inti dan evaluasi. Dari kegiatan Klub Jurnalistik, terlihat peningkatan terhadap kemampuan peserta dalam menyimak, membaca dan memahami inti dari bahan literasi serta kemampuan menghasilkan karya tulis sederhana. Selanjutnya pihak sekolah disarankan membuat tim literasi yang akan meneruskan kegiatan yang memenuhi indikator GSL di tahap selanjutnya.

Pengembangan literasi dini bukanlah sebuah konsep baru dalam ranah pendidikan. Literasi bahasa adalah salah satu keterampilan yang dapat dikembangkan seiring berjalannya waktu. Namun, praktik literasi di lingkungan sekolah pedesaan tidak mencerminkan bagaimana bahasa dikembangkan dengan baik sebagai salah satu cara untuk mengakses wawasan yang lebih baik. Diantara banyak bahasa lainnya, baik bahasa Inggris maupun bahasa Arab dipilih sebagai bahasa yang paling berpengaruh dalam penggunaan komunikasi pendidikan. Untuk menghadapi hal tersebut, pengembangan diri pada anak usia dini, khususnya siswa sekolah dasar, memerlukan lebih banyak latihan dalam beradaptasi dan pembiasaan penggunaan bahasa. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memperkenalkan konsep literasi bahasa asing, termasuk bahasa Inggris dan bahasa Arab melalui kegiatan pendampingan. Proyek pengabdian masyarakat ini bertempat di Sukorejo, Kecamatan Karangbinangun, Lamongan. Tempatnya di SDN Sukorejo, MI Sukorejo, dan TPQ Sukorejo. Hasil kegiatan menyatakan bahwa cakupan bantuan literasi bahasa mencakup literasi bahasa Inggris (permainan kosakata, bercerita, dan membaca cerita) dan literasi bahasa Arab (literasi maktab) (taqdimul-qishoh dan bimbingan baca tulis Al-Qur’an). Dapat dikatakan bahwa siswa melihat peningkatan yang cukup besar dalam perkembangan bahasa asing.Kata kunci: Literasi Bahasa Inggris, Literasi maktab, Usia dini
