Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the influence of the shape and position of aggregate to compressive strength of matrix. Research conducted so far to say that the aggregate does not really affect the compressive strength of concrete and the opinions of experts who say that the aggregate rounded shaped is the aggregate are best used in the mix concrete . Therefore, there was a suggestion in this study to examine how the aggregate effect of the concrete compressive strength if we use the aggregate shaped beam (angular). That question will be answered by laboratory testing and modeling and analysis using software (SAP 2000). To determine the effect  used variations size of aggregate  measuring 2 x 2 x 5 cm and 2.5 x 1.5 x 5 cm at the time of casting is also variation in the position to determine the aggregate effect on the compressive strength of matrix. Tests conducted with uniaxial loading (one-way) and use the data logger and LVDT (Linear Variable Displacement Transducer), to measure the displacement that occurs. Through this research is expected, in addition to knowing their effects on the compressive strength of concrete, can also determine its relation to the concrete cracking pattern of voltage obtained when testing and validated by using SAP 2000.

Abstract

The porous asphalt mixture is a new generation of flexible pavement that is able to pass water in the upper layer (wearing course) both vertically and horizontally. The porous asphalt layer effectively provides more safety, especially when it rains to avoid aquaplaning which causes roughness of the surface to be more rough. Therefore, at this time there are many studies on the use of alternative materials to replace the limited natural materials with materials that can be utilized. The results showed that porous asphalt mixture with used tire crumb as a fine aggregate mixture had an increase in flow value of 6.32% with a decrease in stability value by 27.52% and a decrease Marshall Quotient value at 31.82%. The testing of roughness is increased by 17.71% and Mu-Meter 24.14%. This research is effective in overcoming environmental problems which include processing tire waste of 3.03 tons for 1 km of road pavement construction work.

Abstract

ABSTRACTSteel beams are susceptible to initial geometric imperfections due to improper fabrication and installation processes. Consequently, long steel beams without stiffening are prone to bending due to lateral torsion. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of variations in the initial geometric imperfections of Single Curvature-Moment (SCM) on the moment, total displacement, displacement in the X direction (U1), displacement in the Y direction (U2), and twist. This study used an RH profile with a compact wing and body. The boundary condition used is a simple beam with an initial geometric imperfection due to single moment-curvature (SCM) bending. The variations used are the initial geometric imperfections values of SCM 0 mm (without initial geometric imperfections), SR5 (with initial geometric imperfections of 5 mm), and SR10 (with initial geometric imperfections of 10 mm). Initial geometric imperfections of SCM in steel beam decreased moment capacities up to more than 2% in elastic conditions and 12% in plastic states. This SR10 beam is also a beam that has a displacement of the X-axis (U1 = -203,960 mm), a displacement of the Y-axis (U2 = -255,615 mm), and the most significant twist (28,179 °).Keywords: buckle, initial geometric imperfections, Single Curvature-MomentABSTRAKBalok baja rentan mengalami initial geometric imperfections akibat proses pabrikasi maupun pemasangan yang kurang tepat.

Abstract

ABSTRACTIndonesia is a country with geographical location where 4 large tectonic plates meet. Therefore, if a collision or frictionhits the country, it is vulnerable to earthquakes. This condition makes the buildings more vulnerable to earthquakes. The effect of earthquake force and the performance of the resulting structure will be different if the same load is applied to a regular building and to an irregular building. The method to calculate the effect of the earthquake on the analysis of high-rise building structures in this study used dynamic analysis with spectrum response referred to SNI 03-1726-2012 and 2013 ETABS software program assistance (13.1.1 build 1035). This study aimed to compare the performance of the structure based on the deflection value and the story drift limits in regular and irregular buildings. In this study, the response of structural performance on three building models was calculated with variations in horizontal structure irregularity and then the results were compared. In this research, the biggest deflection was resulted on the re-entrant corner irregularity model C in the x-direction of 7,219 mm and the y-direction of 4,244 mm. Based on the deflection value in the x-direction and y-direction on all building models, the story drift due to the effect of the earthquake plan was less than

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to recalculate the upper structure of the X building of Jakarta State Polytechnic uses SNI-2847-2019 regulations regarding concrete and SNI 1726- 2019regarding earthquakes. This building consists of 3 floors which use concrete as its main structure. Recalculation includes structural elements starting from collar beam, floor plates, beams, and columns, which are expected to withstand the loads who worked on it. Structural analysis was performed using the ETABS 2013 software. Especially for the calculation of the column structure, the SP Column software is used. The results were obtained from the recalculation of the PNJ x Building in the form of dimensional differences and reinforcement against the existing building. Dimension and reinforcement after redesign became more the size of the existing building. The recalculation results indicate that planning re-using SNI 1726-2019 and SNI 2847-2019 are strong to bear the working load after the dimensions and reinforcement are enlarged. Abstract

Aspects of building construction are impacted by population increase, technological advancements, and the growing needs of the community. Existing buildings may be converted to serve new purposes in an effort to meet space needs, particularly in key areas. The Barea Karawaci Foundation house of worship building, located in Tangerang City, has a structure that ranges in height from four to six stories, and its usage has changed from that of a shophouse to a place of worship. This is a choice since it is quicker to execute and more financially lucrative. After adding floors and modifying a room's purpose, the inspection of the existing structure is done using the ETABS program and manually computed against the fulfillment of the regulations' requirements. The same is done for reinforcement with concrete jacketing. By enlarging the beam's size from 200x400 to 400x500, adding 6D19 flexural reinforcement, and adding 10 shear reinforcement at intervals of 90 to 200 mm, the beam is strengthened. Column reinforcement is done by enlarging the column from 200x600 to 400x800, adding 18D13 and 14D13 reinforcement, and adding D10 shear reinforcement at distances ranging from 78 mm to 200 mm.
