Abstract

Empowerment of women farmers is one of the keys to success that affects the economic pace of farming families. Through the aim of the sustainable food house movement in synergy with the application of the LEISA concept, it is possible to optimize local resources and combine various components in an environmentally friendly farming system. Facts on the ground state that 33.5% of women farmers do not understand the importance of using inputs from within. This study was conducted to describe the empowerment of women farmers and to analyze the factors that influence the empowerment of women farmers as well as to develop strategies to improve the empowerment of women farmers in the application of LEISA for sustainable food houses. Data collection was carried out from April to June 2021. The research sample amounted to 53 people spread over 3 selected Kelurahan. The data in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The conclusion of the study shows that the empowerment of women farmers assessed based on knowledge, attitudes and skills is in the moderate category, while the derivative effect of the dependent variable is influenced by the characteristics of women farmers, biophysical aspects, support for extension services and external factors which mean that women farmers need to be guided and directed synergy as a goal in achieving increased knowledge, attitudes and skills in supporting the implementation of LEISA for sustainable food houses. Strategies to increase women's empowerment in implementing LEISA for sustainable food houses can be done through 1) women's ability to make decisions, 2) use local resources, 3) increase support for extension services, and 4) provide relevant information sources and local government support. in achieving environmentally friendly sustainabl agriculture.

Abstract

Peningkatan produktivitas, telah dilaksanakan antara lain melalui Penerapan Pengelolaan Tanaman dan Sumberdaya Terpadu (PTT). dalam rangka menjamin ketahanan pangan nasional. Salah satu komoditas tanaman pangan yang sangat penting adalah tanaman padi. Tanaman padi merupakan salah satu bahan makanan pokok masyarakat Indonesia. Pengelolaan Tanaman dan Sumberdaya Terpadu (PTT) merupakan komponen teknologi yang saling menunjang dan memberikan pengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan produktivitas tanaman tanpa merusak kualitas lahan dan lingkungan. Salah satu komponen teknologi PTT yaitu sistem tanam jajar legowo. Sistem tanam jajar legowo merupakan rekayasa teknik tanam dengan mengatur jarak tanam antar rumpun dan antar barisan. Penerapan teknologi budidaya padi sawah di Desa Sukaharja Kecamatan Ciomas sudah mencapai 72,5 %. Dalam penelitian ini hal yang memengaruhi persepsi dipengaruhi oleh antaranya adalah (1) pendidikan, (2) lama berusaha tani, (3) luas lahan, (4) peran penyuluh(5) akses informasi.

Abstract

Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku petani adalah terbatasnya pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan petani. Pasca panen sesuai dengan SOP di anggap petani akan menguras waktu, tenaga dan biaya tambahan. Sehingga hal ini menjadikan kurangnya minat petani dalam menerapkan pascapanen yang sesuai dengan SOP. Cara untuk meningkatkan perilaku petani dalam menangani pascapanen bisa melalui penanganan pascapanen yang didasarkan prinsip – prinsip GHP. Cara tersebut dapat menekan kehilangan hasil dan mempertahankan mutu hasil gabah/beras. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan perilaku petani dalam penerapan GHP pada komoditas sawah, menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku petani dalam penerapan GHP pada komoditas sawah, dan merumuskan strategi untuk meningkatkan perilaku petani di penerapan GHP pada komoditas sawah. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dari Maret hingga Juni 2020. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis regresi linier berganda. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi meningkatkan perilaku petani dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan penyuluhan kepada petani tentang Good Handling Practices (GHP), memberikan pendidikan non formal seperti sekolah lapang untuk penerapan Good Handling Practices (GHP) kepada petani dan mendorong petani agar mampu menerapkan GHP dan yang terakhir adalah memberikan penyuluhan kepada petani bahwa penerapan Good Handling Practices (GHP) bisa dilakukan oleh petani yang baru berusahataninya ataupun petani yang sudah lama dalam berusahatani

Abstract

Petani cabai di Kecamatan Rancabungur dalam proses budidayanya cenderung masih menggunakan bahan kimia untuk membantu mempercepat proses pertumbuhan tanaman. Selain itu petani baru menerapkan bahan organik 55,76%. Karena mayoritas petani dalam proses budidayanya menginginkan bahan-bahan yang praktis atau instan dan baru 30% petani yang menerapkan PGPR. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi teknologi PGPR pada budidaya cabai, menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi implementasi teknologi PGPR serta menentukan model dan strategi untuk meningkatkan implementasi teknologi PGPR pada petani cabai. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan selama tiga bulan (April - Juli 2020) di Kecamatan Rancabungur. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sebanyak 33 orang. Pengumpulan data primer menggunakan instrumen berupa kuesioner. Data diolah menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian mengenai implementasi teknologi PGPR berdsarkan analisis deskriptrif secara umum termasuk kedalam kategori sedang. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi implementasi teknologi PGPR pada budidaya cabai di Kecamatan Rancabungur yaitu pendidikan formal, peran penyuluh dan keuntungan relatif. Model strategi yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan implementasi tenologi PGPR adalah dengan mendorong petani untuk melakukan kegiatan pertanian yang ramah lingkungan, melakukan penyebaran informasi kepada petani melalui berbagai macam media penyuluhan dan memfasilitasi petani dalam meningkatkan pendidikan non formal atau pelatihan seperti kegiatan penyuluhan agar dapat menguasi teknologi PGPR.

Abstract

Verticulture is the simplest cultivation system that can be conducted in urban areas by utilizing limited land due to dense population settlements. This cultivation system is one of the solutions for agricultural development in urban areas where women farmer groups (WFG) in Serpong Sub-district experience limited land to conduct farming activities. This assessment aims to describe the interests, analyze the factors that affect interest, and formulate strategies to increase the interest of women farmer groups (WFG) in urban agriculture through verticultural cultivation of vegetables. The assessment has been carried out in Serpong Sub-district, South Tangerang City from April to June 2020. The assessment sample was determined by the saturation sampling technique of 31 members who are members of WFG Az-Zahra and WFG Mawar. The assessment variables consist of internal factors, external factors, and interests. Analysis of the data used in this assessment is descriptive statistical analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, and develop the two results of the analysis which are translated into strategies to increase interest. The results of the assessment showed that the interest in WFG in urban agriculture through verticultural vegetable cultivation was in the medium category with a percentage of 67.7 percent. Factors influencing WFG interest are the function of farmer groups, family environment, community environment, and extension activities. The strategy to increase the interest of WFG can be conducted by increasing the participation of all WFG members in group farm activities, encouraging and directing through counseling activities, and involving WFG members by holding demonstrations on how to cultivate vegetables vertically.

Abstract

Rendahnya kapasitas petani disebabkan oleh beberapa aspek diantaranya aspek manajerial, teknis dan sosial. peningkatan kapasitas petani perlu dilakukan agar petani mampu meningkatkan produktivitas dan pendapatan untuk kesejahteraan petani. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kapasitas petani, faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap kapasitas petani, dan merumuskan strategi yang tepat untuk meningkatkan kapasitas petani. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan dari bulan Maret-Juli 2020, analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisi deskriptif dan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil dari pengkajian mengenai kapasitas petani menunjukan bahwa strategi untuk meningkatkan kapasitas petani dapat dilakukan dengan meningkatkan fungsi kelompok tani, memperluas akses informasi teknologi dan pasar, serta meningkatkan pengetahuan petani melalui pendidikan dan pelatihan serta pengembangan diri.

Abstract

True Shallot Seed (TSS) technology is one of the latest innovations in onion cultivation which is considered effective in reducing production costs and increasing onion productivity. This study aims to analyze the level of implementation of farmers in implementing TSS technology and analyze the factors that influence the level of implementation of farmers in applying TSS technology, as well as formulating strategies to improve the implementation of farmers in the application of TSS technology in onion cultivation. This research has been carried out in the village of Mekarmukti, District of Cilawu, Garut Regency in March to June 2020. The sample in this study was 35 shallot farmers who were members of the farmers' group. The sample is determined using the saturation sampling method. Research variables consisted of farmer characteristics, external characteristics, innovation characteristics and implementation. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaires, interviews and observations. Data were processed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and multiple linear regression. The results of research on the implementation of TSS technology in onion farmers are in the medium category. Factors affecting the level of technological implementation are the availability of facilities, the availability of infrastructure, the relative benefits and triability. The strategy used to improve technology implementation among farmers is carried out by conducting extension activities and training farmers about TSS technology so that the possibility of technology can be tried and applied.

Abstract

UU no. 12 of 1992 concerning crop cultivation and PP No. 6/1995 mandates that pest control be carried out by Integrated Pest Management (IPM). In Cianjur, extension activities are used as a method that is often used by agricultural officers in conveying the latest information and technology to farmers in order that the technology can be adopted by farmers. This research was conducted in Majalaya Village, Cikalongkulon District, Cianjur Regency in April - June 2020. The sample in this study amounted to 40 people who were determined by the judgment and quota sampling methods. Analysis of the data used in this research is descriptive analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the level of adoption of new farmers to the level of knowledge is in the medium category, the persuasion is still not good, the majority of farmers still do not agree and have not applied IPM technology. The factors that influence it simultaneously are: farmer characteristics, extension activities and characteristics of technological innovation. While partially that is the length of formal education and the characteristics of technological innovation. The strategy that can be carried out to accelerate farmers' decisions in adopting IPM technology is by introducing deeper knowledge of blast disease integrated pest control technologies along with the innovative characteristics of the technology with an approach through extension.

Abstract

Chavi District has abundant natural resource potential. The availability of various types of food and spices, however, the realization of public consumption is still below the recommended nutritional fulfillment. The availability of various types of food and spices, however, the realization of public consumption is still below the recommended nutritional fulfillment. This study aims to describe the interests of farmers, analyze the factors that affect farmers 'interests, and formulate strategies to increase farmers' interests. This research was conducted in Chavi Subdistrict, Cianjur Regency on March 7 to June 30, 2020. The research sample was 62 farmers taken using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis techniques used were descriptive analysis, multiple linear regression analysis and Kendall's W. analysis. farmer characteristics, facilities and infrastructure, and extension activities. The results showed that the interest of farmers in developing sustainable food house areas in the verticulture system in Chavi District, Cianjur Regency was still in the medium category with a percentage (51.61%), so it needed to be improved. The factors that influence the interest of farmers are length of education and area of ​​yard. Strategies to increase farmer interest include increasing farmer involvement, extension methods through demonstration of methods and plot demonstrations, as well as extension materials and media.

Abstract

The use of organic fertilizers can maintain soil fertility so that paddy productivity will increase and be in line with sustainable farming systems. Paddy straw contains organic material which is good for soil fertility, so it can be used as one of the main organic fertilizer materials; one of them is bokashi fertilizer. Farmers are said to be independent if they can utilize the available resources optimally. Some farmers in Margahayu Village are still said to be less independent in processing straw into bokashi fertilizer so productivity does not increase. The purpose of this study is to measure the extent of the independence of farmers in using straw as bokashi fertilizer and the factors that influence it. This study shows that the independence of farmers is in the medium category and the factors that influence the independence of farmers include (1) length of farming, (2) selection of extension media, and (3) access to information on agricultural extension workers.
