Abstract

As internet users in Indonesia increased by 11% from the previous year, Indonesians are getting more immersive with digital environment. In addition, the pandemic may be one of the drivers of the increase. The trend of using social media has a significant impact on people's social life, including the occurrence of bullying through online media, known as cyberbullying. The study aims to identify forms and impacts of cyberbullying among students of Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Islam Indonesia with pesantren background  and active social media users. With the descriptive qualitative method, the researchers applied purposive sampling in determining the respondents. The results of this study indicate that 84.6% of respondents know the definition of cyberbullying. 61.5% of respondents stated that they experienced at least 2 of 7 types of cyberbullying. The interview shows 3 forms of cyberbullying, such as, online harassments, flaming, and exclusion. The informants' reactions to cyberbullying are feeling annoyed, angry, hurt, disappointed, afraid, shock, overthinking, insecure, anxious, embarrassed, sad, concerned, retaliation to the perpetrators, and suicidal attempt. The informants' coping mechanisms are meeting a professional, remaining silent, suppressing their feelings, holding back their anger, blocking any communication access to the bully, and conducting activities to distract them from the occurred cyberbullying (e.g., playing games, journaling, relaxing, and sleeping). The interview also indicates negative and positive consequences of cyberbullying. Finally, the informants believes that social media ethics promoted via digital literacy campaign to young adults will be a solution which will significantly contribute to preventing cyberbullying.

Abstract

Class dynamics requires development in learning methodologies to cater to the learners' characteristics. Flipped classroom is invented for this purpose with the help of technology. It aims at facilitating students' participation and high-order activities. The research aims to assess the use of flipped classroom in the Department of Family Law (Ahwal Syakhshiyah), Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Islam Indonesia. This research tries to illustrate students’ perspective on the use of flipped classroom in their language classes. Responses written in the reflection sheet indicate that most of the students find the learning method used in their class is enjoyable and the rest finds the method used is moderate. The researchers mainly point out two aspects from the results of the research, flipped classroom enables the students to have control on their own learning; meanwhile, the method creates confusion and culture shock to some students. The respondents were students who took English class in the department as a compulsory subject and the classes conducted in the first semester. There are some points noted for the improvement of flipped classroom in the coming years. First, the teacher needs to make clearer and stricter instructions on how the students use online materials for in-class learning. Secondly, gamification is a good option to maximize the students' comprehension. It can be used as feed forward and feed back in class. Aside from the fact that game is enjoyable, it promotes students' engagement and can also be used as an occasional reflection to monitor students' responses. Finally, an online forum needs to be initiated with the use of Bahasa Indonesia to meet students' level of English usage. There are two points that can contribute to the improvement of flipped classroom in the coming years. Teacher needs to make clearer and stricter instructions on how the students use online materials for in-class learning. Next, gamification is a good option to maximize the students' comprehension.

Abstract

Pemanasan global merupakan salah satu isu yang paling sering dibahas dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Berbagai upaya dilakukan untuk menghadapi kondisi alam ini, namun nampaknya adiwiyata (pendidikan tentang pelestarian lingkungan) menjadi solusi yang menjanjikan. Generasi masa kini diharapkan memiliki pengetahuan, keterampilan, sikap, motivasi dan komitmen dalam bekerja dan dalam memecahkan masalah lingkungan tersebut, serta dapat mencegah kerusakan lingkungan yang lebih parah. Kurikulum tersembunyi menjadi salah satu alternatif dalam adiwiyata karena kurikulum ini menjanjikan hasil yang lebih nyata. Melalui kelas bahasa, kurikulum tersembunyi dalam ranah adiwiyata dapat berkontribusi pada promosi otonomi pembelajar dan kesadaran para siswa. Studi ini menjelaskan tentang penerapan adiwiyata dalam sebuah kurikulum tersembunyi di kelas bahasa yang disebut sebagai the Earth Day Every Day. Rencana pembelajaran yang dicantumkan dalam studi ini menekankan pada peran kurikulum tersembunyi itu sendiri, perannya sebagai sebuah cara menumbuhkan pembelajaran yang otonom, dan bentuk kolaborasinya dengan media dalam pembentukan sikap.نوقشت مشكلة الاحتباس الحراريّ كثيرا في السنوات الأخيرة. وثمة محاولات لمواجهة هذه الحالة. ويظهر أن التعليم البيئي أصبح حلاّ .  ويجب أن يكون للجيل في هذا العصر  علوم ومعارف ، ومهارات، ومواقف، ودوافع، والتزامات في العمل وفي حل مشاكل البيئة، ولديهم القدرة على المنع عن فساد البيئة أكثر.  والمنهج الدراسي الخفيّ  يكون أحد الحلول في التعليم البيئي لأن هذا المنهج سيقدم لنا النتائج أكثر واقعيّا. وعن طريق صفوف اللغة، إن المنهج الدراسي الخفيّ في نطاق التعليم البيئي ستساهم في دعاية استقلالية التعليم ووعي الطلاب. بيّنت هذه الدراسة عن تطبيق التعليم البيئي في المنهج الدراسي الخفي في صفوف اللغة المسمّى ب Earth Day Every Dayy. وكانت خطة التعليم المعدّة تركز في اسهام المنهج الدراسي الخفيّ كأداة لتنمية التعليم المستقل وشكل تعاونه مع الوسائل التعليمية في تكوين موقف الطلاب.

Abstract

Saat ini, media sosial memiliki peran penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari karena media sosial merupakan salah satu bentuk alat komunikasi yang bahkan dapat digunakan dari jarak jauh. Instagram adalah salah satu media sosial yang digunakan oleh berbagai generasi di seluruh dunia. Setiap individu dapat mengakses Instagram dengan mudah. Ini memungkinkan pengguna untuk mengkomunikasikan aktivitas mereka dengan orang lain dan melihat aktivitas orang lain. Dengan menggunakan bentuk berbagi, platform ini sering mendapat tanggapan negatif dari pengguna, terutama didalam komentar. Studi ini berupaya mengidentifikasi komentar negatif yang dapat diklasifikasikan ke dalam pelecehan seksual, terutama pada tindakan pelecehan yang ditujukan kepada perempuan dan dampaknya setelah itu. Pelecehan seksual verbal ini dapat terjadi pada banyak orang, tetapi dalam penelitian ini kami mengambil kasus pelacuran Vanessa Angel. Bahkan, kami mengambil salah satu postingan dari akun @lambenyinyir di mana komentar tersebut mengandung unsur pelecehan, menyalahkan, dan beberapa komentar dengan komentar yang mendukung. Hasil penelitian ini akan menampilkan tentang komentar para nitizen dengan menunjukkan perundangan siber dalam bentuk tindakan profokasi, pelecehan online, dan pencemaran nama baik. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan doxing( penyebaran data identitas pribadi di tempat publik) dari kecenderungan menyalahkan korban yaitu VA sebagai satu – satunya pemeran dalam kasus ini.

Abstract

Studi mengenai anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus merupakan studi tentang yang berkaitan dengan  keanekaragaman. seorang anak berkebutuhan khusus dapat tebagi menjadi berbagai macam aspek yakni berkebutuhan khusus dalam aspek mendengar, berpikir, melihat, bergerak, berbicara  atau bersosialisasi. Pada pengabdian Masyarakat kali ini kami berfokus pada anak-anak yang berkebutuhan khusus dalam aspek berfikir, yakni anak-anak yang mengalami terlambat belajar atau slow learner. Pendekatan ini di adopsi dalam  kelas Amanah yang dirancang khusus untuk anak-anak dengan keterlambatan belajar di SDIT Hidayatullah, Yogyakarta. Penjelasan materi tentang wudhu adalah dengan menggunakan metode bernyanyi dan bermain game, penelitian ini terdiri dari murid-murid kelas Amanah kelas 1-5 yang berda dalam satu ruangan. Dalam satu waktu murid mendapatan materi mengenai wudhu dengan cara bernyanyi dan memainkan game. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa para murid dapat lebih antusias dalam menerima materi dengan 2 metode tersebut, dengan begitu mereka dapat lebih mudah mengingat materi tersebut, diketahui hasilnya adalah dari papan sterofoam yang ditempelkan gambar.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas mengenai peraturan tentang hukum keluarga di Indonesia dan Britania Raya khususnya di Inggris and Wales. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode komparatif yang menemukan bahwa perbedaan yang terdapat antara pengaturan hukum Keluarga di Indonesia dan Britania Raya dikarenakan beberapa factor yang berbeda seperti, sistem politik, sistem pemerintahan, agama dan keadaan social dan budaya masyarakat. Penelitian ini akan memberikan data dan informasi secara umum mengenai pokok-pokok perbedaan hukum keluarga antara Indonesia dan Britania Raya.

Abstract

Media cetak yang dulunya menjadi sumber berita utama publik, kini tergeser oleh media online. Namun, jenis media baru ini telah membawa beberapa sisi negatif. Salah satunya adalah penggunaan clickbait. Penggunaan clickbait menjadi populer terutama di portal berita online. Penelitian ini mengkaji penggunaan clickbait di portal berita Tribunnews.com. Penelitian ini mempelajari prinsip-prinsip kode etik jurnalistik yang dilanggar dalam tajuk berita yang dimuat di portal berita ini. Dengan menerapkan metode penelitian normatif, peneliti mengkaji masalah penelitian melalui norma hukum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa portal berita Tribunnews.com telah melanggar kode etik Jurnalistik pasal 1 butir B “akurat artinya dapat dipercaya kebenarannya sesuai dengan keadaan objektif pada saat terjadinya”, pasal 2 butir D “ menghasilkan berita faktual dari sumber yang terpercaya”, pasal 2 huruf E “pengambilan dan penyiaran gambar, foto, dan audio disertai dengan sumber data dan disajikan secara berimbang”, pasal 4 huruf D “cabul adalah penggambaran perilaku erotis dengan foto, gambar, suara, grafik atau tulisan yang membangkitkan nafsu”, dan pasal 4 butir A “kebohongan adalah sesuatu yang telah diketahui sebelumnya oleh wartawan sebagai hal yang tidak sesuai dengan fakta yang terjadi”. Kata kunci: Clickbait, Berita Online, Kode Etik Jurnalistik Print media, which used to be the main public source of news, is now displaced by online media. However, this new type of media has brought several negative sides. One of them is the use of clickbait. The use of clickbait becomes popular mainly in online news portals. This research examines the use of clickbait in Tribunnews.com news portal. It studies the violated principles of the journalistic code of ethics in the headlines of the news published in this news portal. By applying the normative research method, the researcher examines the research problems through law norms. The results of the research show that: First, the news portal has violated the Journalistic code of ethics article 1 point B "accurate means that it can be trusted to be true according to the objective situation when it occurred", article 2 point D " produce factual news from trusted sources", article 2 point E “the taking and broadcasting of picture, photograph, and audio are accompanied by data source and presented in a balanced manner”, article 4 point D “obscene means the depiction of erotic behavior with photos, pictures, sounds, graphics or writing that arouse lust", and article 4 point A "lies means something that has been known beforehand by journalists as things that are not in accordance with the facts that happened". Abstract

The arrival of immigrants from various countries and continents to America has become part of a very long history for this country. In fact, the United States was founded by group of immigrants. History accounts the arrival of Muslim immigrants in America in several waves; nonetheless, Islam and Muslims remained foreign for American people. For Muslim Immigrants, the tragedy of September 11 (2001) had profoundly impacted them. They endure prejudices, discrimination, verbal abuse, and hate crimes due to the increasing Islamophobia among American society. The study highlights a group of young Muslims known as Mipsterz (Muslim Hipsters) and examines how Mipsterz becomes a site for negotiating identity as a Muslim American. Started as a small group of Muslim youngsters from New York City in 2012, Mipsterz develops into a space for minorities to speak up and define themselves through their creative works. Unluckily, along with the growing number of white supremacists, Islamophobia and negative stereotypes are keep growing and felt by Muslim Americans, even among American-born Muslim generations. Mipsterz aims to keep producing stories and marginalized voices to the fore front of American public, as its members do not want to be identified either Muslims or Americans; they are Muslim Americans.

Abstract

Students are the intellectual generation who will perform the future social transformation. Thus, it is necessary to provide them with Islamic Education as a foundation and initial step in carrying out their role. Even though living in the Covid-19 pandemic era, students feel that the presence of muállims who intensively guide and motivate them to deepen their religious knowledge bring them a good influence. This research has two aims: to know the process of Islamic Education Development and to determine the influence of Islamic Education Development on the students' religious sensitivity. In conducting the research, the researchers employ a mixed method, i.e., qualitative, and quantitative methods. By quantitative, this research takes 168 respondents of new students of the academic year 2020/2021 who have conducted an online Islamic Education Development program during the Covid-19 pandemic. The respondents are taken with random sampling by distributing questionnaires through Google Forms. The results of the questionnaires were inputted into excel tables and processed with linear regression in SPSS 25. By qualitative, the researchers conduct naturalistic observation interviews with students and muállims. The results show a significant influence of the Islamic Education Development program (variable X) on the students' religious sensitivity (variable Y) as much as 81.7 %. In comparison, the rest, 18.3 %, are influenced by other factors outside the variable X. The Islamic Education Development program during the Covid-19 pandemic is an internalization of religious values effectively and efficiently. Besides, this internalization is a way to achieve the University of Islam Indonesia's goal, namely, to create students who will disseminate the Islamic message of Rahmatan lilálamin.
