Abstract

Indonesian students are indicated to have a low math efficacy. Currently, no psychology scale has been created to measure the math efficacy of Indonesian students, especially for junior high school level students. This study aims to develop a math efficacy scale for junior high school level students or equivalent based on Indonesian students’ characteristics. The study used an exploratory sequential design with mixed methods. The results of qualitative analysis through focused group interviews on two small groups of eight students show that seven major themes were related to mathematics efficacy. Qualitative analysis as the basis for a scale development consisting of 33 items and is administered to 478 participants. The results of the quantitative analysis through validity test with Principal Component Analysis (PCA) shows that four dimensions appeared with total variance explained reaching 60.4%. The model was re-tested for compatibility with Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and obtained index values of p 0.001 (χ2), 0.047 (SRMR), 0.907 (TLI), 0.918 (CFI), and 0.064 (RMSEA). The four dimensions have met the standard of a fit index with 23 items remaining. The validity test was also supported by Pearson's Product Moment correlation of 0.795 for convergent validity test with Math Attitude Scale (MAS) and divergent validity test of -0.331 with Mathematical Self-Efficacy and Anxiety Questionnaire (MSEAQ). The scale's reliability was very good, with Cronbach's alpha value of 0.918.

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this study was to examine the validity and reliability of Team Trust Scale which is adapted from Costa and Anderson (2011) in Indonesia.  Team Trust Scale consist of 21 items with 4 dimensions is propensity to trust, perceived trustworthiness, cooperative behaviors and monitoring. The subject of this study is 572 workers that works within team in Indonesia. The result of confirmatory factor analysis show this scale’s model is good fit with fit indexes 0,07 (RMSEA), 0,04 (SRMR), 0,93 (CFI) dan 0,92 (TLI). Also for the result of  convergent and discriminant validity show team trust scale that adapted to Indonesia is valid. For the reliability with coefficient Alpha Cronbach method is 0,930 and it show this scale is reliable. Moreover, this study using comparative test for characteristic of participants such work field, work period, position, amount personnel in unit and division/department. AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji validitas dan reliabilitas alat ukur Team Trust yang diadaptasi dari Costa dan Anderson (2011) di Indonesia. Skala Team Trust terdiri 21 item dengan 4 dimensi yaitu propensity to trust, perceived trustworthiness, cooperative behaviors and monitoring behaviors. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah 572 karyawan yang bekerja dalam tim di Indonesia. Hasil uji confirmatory factor analysis menunjukkan bahwa model fit dengan nilai indeks kecocokan sebesar 0,07 (RMSEA), 0,04 (SRMR), 0,93 (CFI) dan 0,92 (TLI). Selain itu, uji validitas konvergen dan diskriminan menunjukkan bahwa alat ukur team trust yang diadaptasi ke Indonesia valid. Sementara itu, reliabilitas dengan koefisien Alpha Cronbach sebesar 0,930 dan menunjukkan bahwa alat ukur ini reliabel. Selain itu penelitian ini menggunakan uji beda pada karakteristik partisipan berupa bidang pekerjaan, lama kerja, jabatan, jumlah anggota dalam unit dan jumlah anggota dalam divisi/departemen.

Abstract

Organization needed energetic and dedicated employees, employees who are engaged with their work. But some surveys show that engagement among employee specially millennials tend to be decreased. One of the factors can contributed toward work engagement is workplace friendship. This study aims to examine whether workplace friendship contribute toward work engagement among employee in the industrial area of ​​West Java. The participants involved were 409 employees in the industrial area of ​​West Java (Bekasi, Karawang, Purwakarta, and Bandung Raya) with a minimum working period of one year or more. The instruments used in this study were the Workplace Friendship Scale (WFS) to measure workplace friendships with a reliability of 0. 687 and The Utrecht Work Engagement (UWES) to measure work engagement with a reliability of 0.929. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis using the SPSS version 26 program. The results show that workplace friendship contribute toward work engagement among employee in the industrial area of West Java

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the influence of emotional intelligence and communication satisfaction of organizational citizenship behavior of employees. This research used quan­ti­ta­­tive approach with correlational methods. The participants of this research was 300 employees in Bandung. The instruments were emotional intelligence (Goleman that modified by Muta’asifah (2013), communication satisfaction (Downs and Hazen, 1977), and organizational citizenship behavior (Kumar and Shah, 2015). The analysis of this research was multiple linier regression analysis. The result of this research showed that there is a effect of emotional intelligence and communication satisfaction on organiza­tional citizenship behavior of employees in Bandung. In order to improve the aspects of this research that are still lacking, it is necessary to conduct training and counseling on employees.

Abstract

AbstractIncivility is undeniable in modern organizations and almost in all industries (Hendryadi, 2018). Therefore, the researcher wants to adapt the Workplace Incivility Scale from Jimenez et al., (2018) measuring tool with a Cronbach's alpha reliability of 0,87. Adapted measuring instruments are given to employees or individuals who are currently working in West Java with an age range of 20- 60 years. The adjusted workplace incivility scale has a Cronbach Alpha reliability value of 0,937 and a Corrected-Item Total Correlation that exceeds 0.20 without removing the original item so that this measuring tool is feasible to use. The results of this study resulted in 6 factor extractions by adding 3 new dimensions, namely coworker impoliteness, impolite provocation, leader impoliteness, suspicion in the work environment, and distrust of leaders.AbstrakKetidaksopanan merupakan hal yang tidak bisa dipungkiri terjadi dalam organisasi modern dan hampir di semua industry (Hendryadi, 2018). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengadaptasi alat ukur Workplace Incivility Scale dari Jimenez et al., (2018) dengan reliabilitas Cronbach’s alpha sebesar 0,87. Partisipan dengan rentang usia 20-60 tahun. Workplace incivility scale yang sudah diadaptasi memiliki nilai reliabilitas Cronbach Alpha sebesar 0,937 dan Corrected-Item Total Correlation yang melebihi 0,20 tanpa membuang item asli sehingga alat ukur ini layak untuk dipakai. Hasil penelitian ini menghasilkan 6 ekstraksi faktor dengan menambahkan tiga dimensi baru yakni ketidaksopanan rekan kerja, provokasi ketidaksopanan, ketidaksopanan pimpinan, kecurigaan di lingkungan kerja, lingkungan kerja, dan ketidakpercayaan pemimpin

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of brand trust in La Sportiva climbing shoes on consumer loyalty among athletes in West Java. This research adopts a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The respondents in this study consist of 179 rock climbing athletes who are consumers of La Sportiva climbing shoes in West Java. The respondents in this study are aged 14 to 27 years old and were selected using purposive sampling technique. The instruments used for data collection include the brand trust in e-commerce (Septini, 2017) and consumer loyalty scale (Bobâlcă et al., 2012). Data analysis in this study employs simple linear regression analysis. The results of this research demonstrate a significant influence of brand trust on consumer loyalty towards La Sportiva climbing shoes among athletes in West Java.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh brand trust sepatu panjat tebing La Sportiva terhadap consumer loyalty pada atlet di Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian korelasional. Responden pada penelitian ini berjumlah 179 atlet panjat tebing konsumen sepatu panjat tebing La Sportiva di Jawa Barat. Responden pada penelitian ini berusia 14–27 tahun, diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk pengambilan data adalah brand trust e-commerce (Septini, 2017) dan consumer loyalty scale (Bobâlcă et al, 2012). Teknis analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara brand trust terhadap consumer loyalty sepatu panjat tebing La Sportiva pada atlet di Jawa Barat.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of fear of missing out and loneliness on psychological well-being in late adolescents using Twitter in West Java. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational design. The sample of this study consisted of 385 respondents with the characteristics of late adolescents with an age range of 15-19 years in West Java and actively using Twitter. The sampling technique used is accidental sampling. Researcher used the Fear of Missing Out Scale, the Loneliness Questionnaire, and Ryff's Psychological Well-Being Scale. The data analysis used was multiple linear regression analysis with a significance value of 0.001. Referring to the result of data analysis, it can be concluded that fear of missing out and loneliness affect psychological well-being and the influence given is quite large.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari fear of missing out dan kesepian terhadap psychological well-being pada remaja akhir pengguna media sosial Twitter di Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri atas 385 responden dengan karakteristik remaja akhir dengan rentang usia 15-19 tahun di Jawa Barat dan aktif menggunakan Twitter. Teknik sampling menggunakan accidental sampling. Peneliti menggunakan Fear of Missing Out Scale, Skala kesepian, dan Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scale. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear berganda dengan nilai signifikansi 0.001. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa fear of missing out and kesepian berpengaruh terhadap psychological well-being dengan pengaruh yang besar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test empirically the effect of work life balance on work engagement in unmarried employees in Bandung. This study used a correlational method with an unknown population size. Sample selection was carried out using accidental sampling so that a total sample of 422 people was obtained. Data collection was carried out using the WLBS (Work Life Balance Scale) and UWES (Utrecht Work Engagement Scale) measuring instruments. The data analysis technique used is a simple linear regression test. The results of this study indicate that the work life balance variable has a positive and significant effect on work engagement.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-esteem terhadap subjective well-being pada Ibu yang bekerja di Kota Tasikmalaya. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 391 orang ibu yang bekerja di Kota Tasikmalaya yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel accidental sampling. Data mengenai self-esteem dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen Rosernberg Self Esteem Scale (RSES) yang telah diadaptasi oleh Mahardika (2021) dan memiliki reliabilitas sebesar 0,845. Data mengenai subjective well-being dikumpulkan dengan instrumen Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) dengan reliabilitas sebesar 0,752 dan Scale of positive and negative experience (SPANE) dengan reliabilitas sebesar 0,751 yang telah diadaptasi oleh Mustika (2022). Analisis data menggunakan regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari self-esteem terhadap subjective well-being being pada Ibu yang Bekerja di Kota Tasikmalaya
