Abstract

The purpose of this reseach is to know that understanding of student mathematics concept with applying Student Facilitator and Explaining model is better than conventional study. This is a quasi-experimental study, the design of Randomized Control Group Only Design. Research procedures can be divided into three phases: preparation, conduct implementation and completion. Research instrument used was test students understanding of math concepts. Test instrument was developed by compiling test, validation test questions, test and analysis of test items. Analysis using t-test. Results of this study showed an increase in students understanding of mathematical concepts, differences in average value, standard deviation and variance between the experimental class and the control class.Key words: models of student facilitator learning and explaining, the ability of understanding mathematical concepts

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know mathematics communication bility of students with cooperative learning model type STAD based contexstual at class IX SMPN 1 Batusangkar. The study was quasi eksperimental research with the draft of research was Randomized Control Group Only Design. The subject of this research obtained from the final test. The hypothesis of this research was tested by MIINITAB program named t-test one way. The results showed a difference in mean value, variance and standard deviation in the second grade sample. From the result of t-test, research obtained that p-value 0, so the hypothesis of this research is accepted at taraf signifikan α = 0.05. So, concluded that the mathematics communication ability of students was by applaying of cooperative learning model type STAD based contexstual higher than students in conventional leraning.Keywords:  Cooperative type STAD, approach contextual, Mathematics Communication Ability

Abstract

The research is proposed to get module based open-ended approach which are valid and practice on the math topic circle in junior high school. The methodology that use in this study is a developmental research. Subject of this research is 26 students of eigth grade at SMP N 1 Baso. The way of collecting data is by the result of validator scores, the practical was described by observation and questionnaire. All data have been collected was analysed by using statistic descriptive. The result of data analysis come to conclusion, that, This research produces module based open-ended approach on the topic of circle for students of VIII grade are valid and practice. The validity was described by the result of validator scores, where the all validators state that the instrument have been valid based on content and construction, score is 76 %. The practical was described by testing the module to a small group where most of the students were able to learn the module given, score is 79,6 student were able to learn by using module based open-ended approach.Key words: Module, open-ended approach, validity dan practicality, circle

Abstract

This study aims to investigated the effect of lecture-discussion (LD), direct instruction (DI) and guide inqury (GI) to students’ achievement on quantitative design research. An experimental comparison group post-test only design was used to prove the hypothesis there is a significant difference of students’ achievement on undergraduate biology education class (BEC) and master's economic class (EC) with the using of LD, DI and GI. This study used 34 BECs’ student and 26 ECs’ student who take quantitative research courses in the academic year 2016-2017. The students’ achievement was measured by instrument of Research based Learning (RbL). The collected data has been analyzed by using descriptive statistics, and Chi-Square test to determine the comparison in both treatment of classes. The result of this study has shown that χ2scores of LD (71.276) and χ2scores of DI (203.12) > χ2 table α(0.05; 0.01) (15.507; 20.090). At the using of GI, the quality for students’ achievement scores on BEC is better than EC (standard vs. approaching standard). In conclusion, there was significant difference of students’ achievement on BEC and EC with the using of LD, DI and GI

Abstract

This paper introduces Auslander-Reiten Sequences in mod A, where A is a finite dimensional -algebra. We will also introduces almost split morphism, as a special form of morphisms, which will provide a natural way to present the form of Auslander-Reiten sequences. Abstract

sequence in  is far from obvious. To see the presence of this sequence, we need to know Auslander-Reiten translations, as a functor composition between standart duality and transpotision. This sequences is useful in representation theory of algebras especially in formation of Auslander-Reiten Quiver. This paper will discuss about Auslander-Reiten translation and how to construct Auslander-Reiten translation from a module. . Abstract

The purpose of this study was to measure Islamic university mathematics and science lecturers (IU-MSLs) perception of technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) in 21st-century learning. This research utilized a quantitative method derived from a descriptive survey collected from 48 lecturers at a single university. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and alpha Cronbach methods were applied to determine the quality of the instruments used in this study. Furthermore, descriptive statistics and ANOVA were used to analyze the data obtained, while correlations were used to test the hypotheses. The results showed no relationship between teaching experience (TE) and teaching ability (TA) with TPACK. In addition, there were no differences in lecturers' perceptions of TPACK based on the material being taught. This study concluded that TPACK is an essential competency for mathematics and science lecturers in an Islamic university.

Abstract

AbstractThe study aims to investigate the knowledge of junior high school students on Islamic religious education materials and the social awareness of the Minangkabau religious social activist community. The subject matter of Islamic education is al-Quran, al-Hadith, al-Tarikh, al-Fiqh, al-Akhlaq, al-Aqidah and Arabic language. The research method is community based research. The general steps of the CBR are cycles in four stages, namely, laying the foundation, planning, gathering/analyzing information and action to finding. This study involves junior high school students and the community of Minangkabau religious social activist. This study found that these students have poor Islamic religious knowledge in seven materials. The Minangkabau religious social activists have a high social awareness when activities strengthen formal education with Islamic non-formal education is carried out. The study also provides recommendations on the need for further on finding action for the development of madrasah diniyah takmilyah wustha (MDTW) by exploring Minangkabau values. The findings of this study have implied that this research is an effort that can be done to stop the “silent or slow running phase” of the Minangkabau (surau) mosque and madrasa. This study has also reaffirms that Minangkabau surau and madrasah are not lost or will be lost in Minangkabau, West Sumatra Indonesia.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki pengetahuan siswa SMP pada materi pendidikan agama Islam dan kesadaran sosial dari komunitas aktivis sosial religius minangkabau. Subyek pendidikan Islam adalah materi al-Quran, al-Hadits, al-Tarikh, al-Fiqh, al-Akhlaq, al-Aqidah dan bahasa Arab. Metode penelitian adalah penelitian berbasis komunitas (community based research). Langkah-langkah umum CBR adalah siklus dalam empat tahap: meletakkan fondasi, perencanaan, pengumpulan / analisis informasi dan tindakan untuk menemukan. Penelitian ini melibatkan siswa SMP dan komunitas aktivis sosial keagamaan minangkabau. Studi ini menemukan bahwa para siswa ini memiliki pengetahuan agama Islam yang buruk dalam tujuh materi. Para aktivis sosial keagamaan minangkabau memiliki kesadaran sosial yang tinggi ketika kegiatan memperkuat pendidikan formal dengan pendidikan non-formal Islam dilakukan. Studi ini juga memberikan rekomendasi tentang perlunya untuk lebih lanjut menemukan tindakan untuk pengembangan madrasah diniyah takmilyah wustha (MDTW) dengan mengeksplorasi nilai-nilai minangkabau. Temuan penelitian ini telah mengimplikasikan bahwa penelitian ini merupakan upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk menghentikan "fase diam atau lari perlahan" surau dan madrasah minangkabau.
