Abstract

Indonesia telah melaksanakan Pemilihan Umum Presiden, peristiwa ini tentu saja mengakibatkan fluktuasi harga-harga saham mengingat peristiwa politik ini merupakan momen yang penting di suatu negara. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara abnormal return dan trading volume activity periode sebelum dan sesudah Pemilihan Umum Presiden pada tanggal 9 juli 2014 pada  Perusahaan Konstruksi, Infrastruktur dan Utilitas yang terdaftar di BEI. Pengambilan sampel digunakan teknik sampling jenuh, dengan jumlah sampel 21 perusahaan dari Perusahaan Konstruksi, Infrastruktur dan Utilitas yang Go Public di BEI. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah uji beda dua rata-rata (paired sample T-test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara abnormal return sebelum dan sesudah Pemilu Presiden. sedangkan pada trading volume activity terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara trading volume activity sebelum dan sesudah Pemilu Presiden. Sebaiknya pemerintah tetap menjaga stabilitas politik dan ekonomi, sehingga faktor psikologis dari para investor tetap terjaga dan tidak menimbulkan reaksi berlebihan pada pasar modal.   Kata kunci: abnormal return, trading volume activity.

Abstract

Employee could be a competitive advantage of a company if company manages its employees well. The success of a company could be seen from how a company manages their employees and engages their employees. Most of big companies put their employees in top priority in order to keep their top performance. These big companies manage their employees and try to engage their employees so that their employees could generate high performance. In this study, employee engagement is the factor to examine the company performance. The aim is to examine the influence of employee engagement to employee performance and company performance. Theories that are supporting this research are human resource management and theories of employee engagement from other researchers. This research is a literature review research using qualitative method. From several of researches about employee engagement, this research finds that employee engagement has positive relationship with company performance. The environment of the company, such as the physical space and climate of the environment support the employee engagement process. The person itself, such as the personality, the physical traits, the emotion of the person, also support the process of employee engagement. Keywords: employee engagement, company performance

Abstract

In this Post-Modern era, the costumer expectation of a retail store are develop. To compensate the market development and satisfy the costumer needs and wants, the marketers have to create a new concept of a store that can give a new shopping experience. The objectives of this research are to analyze the influence of Store Location and Store Atmosphere of Costumer Shopping Behavior of Multi Mart Paal 2. This research is conduct in Manado. This research is a causal type of research where investigate the influence of store location and store atmosphere on costumer shopping behavior and using a multiple regression model to answer the research problem.  The population of this study is a costumer of Multi Mart Paal 2 in Manado with sample taken by 100 respondent. In the hypothesis testing, this research conduct a conclusion where there is a simultaneously and  significantly influence of store location and store atmosphere on costumer shopping behavior of Multi Mart Paal 2. Partially, the store location have most influencing on costumer shopping behavior and store atmosphere have least influencing on costumer shopping behavior. This study approve that for post-modern peoples just like in Manado, a location and atmosphere of a store will affect the costumer shopping behavior, where they mental decision decide to do their shopping efficiently in a store who have easy transport access with good combination of attractive storefront, good service, and comfortable atmosphere.   Keywords: post-modern, store location, atmosphere, behaviour.

Abstract

Food brand is one main concern for a lot of people in every city or region in each part of this world when purchasing and using products or choosing and spending services, without denying the importance of features and quality of available items. This aim of study perception of global and local brand in Manado between Walls and Campina ice cream with five important element: sensation, absolute threshold, differential threshold, subliminal threshold and consumer perception. The method that used in this research is Independent Sample t-test. Independent Sample t-test is a method to compares the mean score of two groups on given variable. The fact that Walls ice cream has become more popular for the majority in Manado, compared with comparable products from Campina. The companies management from Walls and Campina ice cream  product in the Manado City must be aware with common customers’ concern about sensation factor (include products, packages, brand names,advertisements and commercials) because it can directly impact to cunsumers. Abstract

Sumber daya manusia merupakan kekuatan dalam keberhasilan suatu organisasi, sehingga sumber daya yang berkualitas diperlukan kemauan dan kemampuan untuk mengubah dan berkembang seiring dengan tuntutan jaman dan perubahan yang harus dihadapi. Sumber daya manusia yaitu tenaga kerja atau pegawai, memegang peranan yang sangat penting bagi peningkatan kinerja atau kemajuan suatu organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan, kemampuan kerja, dan kompensasi terhadap kinerja pegawai Kantor Dinas Sosial Kota Manado. Sampel dalam Penelitian ini berjumlah 34 orang. Metode yang digunakan asosiatif dengan teknik analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pendidikan, kemampuan kerja, dan kompensasi secara simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, secara parsial kemampuan kerja dan kompensasi tidak berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Sebaiknya pimpinan Dinas Sosial Kota Manado lebih memperhatikan pendidikan, kemampuan kerja, dan kompensasi pegawai sehingga dapat menciptakan kinerja yang lebih baik. Abstract

Hasil produksi dari berbagai sektor yang dihasilkan kemudian akan dipasarkan didalam daerah maupun di kirim ke luar daerah untuk dipasarkan. Ada lagi kebutuhan akan barang-barang yang belum tercukupi diluar daerah kemudian membeli barang-barang dari pasar ataupun toko yang ada di Manado. Dari kegiatan ini tentunya membutuhkan jasa pengiriman yang mampu mengirimkan barang yang cepat sampai di tangan pembeli.  Pola antrian merupakan karakteristik suatu antrian ditentukan oleh unit maksimum yang boleh ada di dalam sistemnya yang terbatas maupun tidakterbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan sistem antrian yang efisien untuk peningkatan kinerja dan optimalisasi pelayanan pada PT. Sinar Pacifik Internusa. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif.  Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah, sistem antrian yang diterapkan pada PT. Sinar Pacifik Internusa adalah jenis sistem antrian model Multiple Channel Query System atau M/M/S, dimana terdapat beberapa Teller (front desk staff) yang dapat melayani para pelanggannya, namum fase yang dilewati oleh pelanggan untuk melakukan transaksi melalui teller hanya satu kali. Dengan demikian tidak terjadi penumpukan atau penundaan terhadap pengiriman barang,   Hasil analisis menunjukkan model  untuk  sistem  pelayanan kondisi real yaitu M/M/S model First in first out (FIFO), dan rata-rata waktu pelayanan selama 20 menit untuk setiap pelanggan. Abstract

Every company will be faced a change either business or non-business company. A change will be happened because of technological change, industry change, and institutional rules change. If the company lack in adapt the changing of competition, business cycles, technology and institutional rules the company might face a bankruptcy. Why? To make a successful change there are steps and process of change. Research objectives are to analyze what should company do in order to do change management and to analyze the change management inside organizational to help manager or owner reach their business goal in organizational. This type of research is qualitative research with literature study which is using secondary data. A conclusion and results are the company need to build an awareness of the change in organization and follow the four tasks which are appreciating change, mobilizing support, executing change, and building change capability in order to make successful change. A company must know that every problem in organization can be solved just inside the organization not outside the organization so the leader needs to get information and data to know the problem that make this organization lagging behind from the competitor. After that the leader need to make a goal not too high and not too low so it will be easy to achieve that goal, and also understand evolution in business environment. Abstract

Consumer behavior has been a topic of interest for many academics in the past few years, and one of the many subjects from consumer behavior is compulsive buying. Compulsive buying has known as an abnormal form of consumer behavior, regarded as the dark side of consumption. The purpose of this study is to analysis the influence of power prestige, anxiety, distrust, and credit card usage on compulsive buying of college student. The population observed was IBA students who use credit card with sample as many as 100 respondents. This research used quantitative analyze by using questionnaires and used multiple regression analysis. Result showed that power prestige, anxiety, distrust, and credit card usage influence compulsive buying simultaneously but not partially because distrust variable has no significant influences to compulsive buying. However, measuring money attitudes gives a clearer picture of how students perceive money and how money makes them feel towards themselves and towards various products or services. Therefore, further studies should widen the variable of money attitude that can potentially influence compulsive buying. A factor which captures obsession with money would be an improvement. It is captured by the power prestige dimension, but could be made explicit as a separate factor. Keywords: compulsive buying, power prestige, anxiety, distrust, credit card

Abstract

The growth of mobile phone users are increasing tremendously every year. The fact also shows that many vendors compete to sell mobile phone products including Chinese vendors. With the cheap image of Chinese products and their product quality have raised the issue to investigate the perception among customer and brand experience that people got. The aim of this study is to analyze the impact of consumer perception and brand experience on purchase intention of Chinese mobile phones in Manado. This study implements qualitative research, and there are 8 informants as research samples. The result shows that both, consumer perception and brand experience give an influence to people to have intention to purchase Chinese mobile phones and also shows that brand experience give the most influence to people not only to have intention but also to decide to purchase product. This research suggests Chinese mobile phones seller to build a good perception about Chinese mobile phone in terms of quality and drafting various managerial strategies to increase the purchase intention, by emphasizing the different perspectives of customer brand experience. Abstract

Perekrutan adalah serangkaian aktivitas mencari dan memikat pelamar kerja dengan motivasi, kemampuan, keahlian dan pengetahuan yang diperlukan guna menutupi kekurangan yang diidentifikasi dalam perencanaan kepegawaian. Motivasi merupakan suatu tenaga atau faktor yang terdapat didalam diri manusia yang menimbulkan, mengarahkan dan mengorganisasikan tingkah lakunya. Pelatihan kerja adalah suatu usaha peningkatan pengetahuan dan keahlian seorang karyawan untuk mengerjakan suatu pekerjaan tertentu. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui apakah perekrutan, motivasi, pelatihan kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pegawai pada PT. PLN (Persero) Wilayah Suluttenggo. Jenis penelitian asosiatif, dengan menggunakan teknik analisis Regresi Linier Berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan perekrutan, motivasi dan pelatihan kerja secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Motivasi merupakan variabel yang paling dominan berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pegawai. Pihak manajemen PT. PLN (Persero) Wilayah Suluttenggo sebaiknya meningkatkan  kinerja karyawan melalui peningkatan motivasi, pelatihan, serta karyawan baru yang potensial.   Kata kunci: perekrutan, motivasi, pelatihan kerja, kinerja pegawai
