Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to describe and differentiate the generic science skills students who learn with creative problem solving learning models with a group of students who studied with conventional learning. The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental research design with intact group comparison design. The population in this study were all students of class X SMA Negeri 1 North Tambusai second semester of the school year 2015/2016 there consist of seven classes with enrollment of 256 students. The research sample was set at 2 classes with 70 students, which is determined by simple random sampling technique. Data collected by using generic science test. Analysis of the data in this study was a desciprtive analysis and inferential analysis. Descriptive analysis was used to determine the generic science skills students. The inferential analysis was used differentiate a generic science skills considerably using independent samples t-test. The analysis data shows that the average percentage of generic science skills 55.73% with a low category and 47.40% for the control group with very low category. The value of t-test is tcount = 2,391, ttable = 1,66691, p = 0,02 means tcount > ttable dan p < 0,05, then Ho is rejected. Which means there is a difference significant generic science skills among students who learn by using a model of creative problem solving with students learning with conventional learning with the results of This means that the generic science skills students learn with creative problem solving models better than students learning with conventional learning.Key Words: Generic science skill, creative problem solving, dynamic electrical

Abstract

Abstract : Physical learning especially the material of electromagnetic waves is an abstract material and difficult to observe. The main purpose of this research is to develop a valid Borland Delphi 7 based learning media on electromagnetic wave material. This research was conducted in December 2016 until June 2017 at the Physics Education Laboratory of Universitas Riau. The design of learning media development follows the stage of ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Validation of this instructional media program includes content of material and design of media itself. Based on the results of data analysis, it is found that the learning media developed in this study has a very high validity value of both assessed aspects. For validity of learning media subject matter this result of validation by expert is 3.61 and validation by teacher is 3.6 so it is relevant with physics concepts that will be taught by using this media, while for validity of media design by expert is 3.5 and by teacher 3.62 so media This study's learning can be declared eligible to be used to support schooling.Key words: Electromagnetic Wave, Media Based On Borland Delphi 7, ADDIE

Abstract

Abstrck: This research aims to determine the increasing and differenes in scientific attitude students by applying the guided discovery learning model and conventional in learning physics class XI SMA N 9 pekanbaru. The population of this research is class XI consisting of 4 classes. Samples taken are 2 classes, determination technique experimental class and control class are by simple random sampling. This research was conducted in SMA N 9 Pekanbaru from September to November 2015. This research is Quasi Experimental Design forms Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Instrument of collecting data in this research is a questionnaire scientific attitude students is given before and after learning. The indicators contained in the questionnaire that is honesty, coriosity, logical thinking, and accuracy. Data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential. Descriptive analysis of scientific attitude students to apply the guided discovery learning model has incrased, the values before learning is 3.89, after learning is 4.42, so the guided discovery learning model effectively applied to improve the scientific attitude students. The results of inferential analysis obtained by value thitung > ttabel ( 2,930 > 2,002 ) , then H0 is rejected so we can conclude there is a significant difference to the scientific attitude students in learning physics in class XI SMA N 9 Pekanbaru applying learning models guided discovery with a class that implements conventional teaching with a 95% confidence level .Key Words: Scientific Attitude, Guided Discovery, spring fore

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the enforceability of the scientific approach is based on the curriculum in 2013 in physics according to student perception. The research is descriptive survey method. The population is students of class XI Science High School Pekanbaru, while the sample is a class XI student from the high school curriculum of 2013 for 3 consecutive years. Data collection instruments through the distribution of questionnaires. Results of research keterlaksanaan scientific approach in physics obtained an average score of 2.97 in the category quite well. It can be concluded that the application of the scientific approach to the learning process at schools with the maximum has not been done. It is caused by several factors, namely: the limited time, limited infrastructure such as infocus diruang classroom, the teacher is less a creative learning.Key Words: the nature of learning physics, curriculum in 2013, scientific approach

Abstract

Abstract: This research is aimed to know the effectiveness with experiment learning method by using student facilitator and explaining model and the class which used conventional method in learning physics. This research belongs to Quasi Experimental research with Intact Group Comparison Program. The sample of this research was the first year students of SMPN 3 Singingi Hilir, which consisted of 55 students and divided into 2 classes: experimental and control class. The data of this research belongs to student collectivity and the results of the study after physics learning by using student facilitator and explaining model which analyzed descriptively and inferentially. Based on data analysis, students’ activity in experimental class was in a very good category. The students’ ability averagely as 81% was in effective category, while in the control class was in good category and the students’ ability averagely as 72% also in effective category. Based on the output independent sample t-test was concluded thitung> t table (3.007> 1.675) means that there are significant differences in learning outcomes of students with a class that uses experimental methods facilitator and student learning model explaining the conventional experimental learning classes It can be concluded that experiment method by using student facilitator and explaining model was effective in physics learning in the first year students of SMPN 3 Singingi Hilir.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to produce e-module based science literacy that is feasible to use. The subject of this research is e-module based science literacy on electromagnetic radiation lesson. This research used Research and Development method with type 4D. Stages of developing this e-module based science literacy include Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The instrument used is the Science Literacy Validation Scoring Sheets. The validation results of e-module based science literacy on electromagnetic radiation lesson from all aspects have a percentage 86.96% with very decent category. Thus, e-module of physics learning based on science literacy is feasible to be used as a supporting teaching material, as well as basic teaching materials on electromagnetic radiation lesson for grade XII of Senior High School students.Keywords: E-module, Science Literacy, Electromagnetic Radiation

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to know enhancement on critical thinking skillssecondary grades students SMA N 9 Pekanbaru through application guideddiscovery learning model in learning physics and to know the difference learningoutcomes between secondary grades students that teached by conventional learningmodel with secondary grades students that teached by guided discovery learningmodel on spring force matter. This research conducted on SMA N 9 Pekanbaru fromJuly to December 2015. This type of research is quasi experimental design withNonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampling technique of this research usedsimple random sampling technic by taking two classes at random from population.The Samples is sciences two as experiment class and sciences four as control class.The number of students on experiment class is 29 childrens which consist of 10 boysand 19 girls.While the number of students on the control class of 30 people consist of12 boys and 18 girls.Multiple choices questions used for collect data as techniquetest. Based on analyze of mean percentage posttest show that mean percentageexperiment class with 71,67 % percentages is different than control class with59,52 % percentages. Based on analyze with t-test, show that thitung > ttabel then Horejected and Ha accepted with a significance level 5 %. Its show that there aredifference learning outcomes between experiment class and control class.Keywords: critical thinking skills, guided discovery learning, conventional learning,spring forces.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to know student’s attitude toward science in physics learning through the comic media in the light subject. The method used in this research was quasi experimental method with non-equivalent control group design. This study was taken place in SMP Negeri 21 Pekanbaru with the sample of research consisted of 82 eighth grade students in the school year of 2015/2016 who devided become two classes, exsperiment and control class. The instrument data collection in this study is questionnaire of attitudes toward science which consists of 28 statements. Analysis of the data in this study is descriptive analysis to categorize the average score of student’s attitude toward science and analysis of the increase (gain) based on the result of pretest and postest. Based on data analysis, the result of this study obtained an average score of student’s attitude toward science in the experiment class and control class are in high category. For pretest’s score in experiment class, the average Score of 2,90 and control class is 3,01. For score of postest in experiment class, the average Score of 2,95 and control class is 2,94. As for the increase (gain) the average score of student’s attitude toward science in the experiment class in low category with a value of 0,05 and control class is not increased. This result show the use of comic media in physics learning on the light subject can increase student’s attitude toward science.Key Words: Atittude toward science, comic media

Abstract

Abstract: The research aimed to describe and find out the improvement of students interest learning by applying creative problem solving (CPS) model. The research used quasi experimental model, with nonequivalent control group design. The subject are 70 students of class X SMAN 1 Tambusai Utara, divide into experiment class and control class. Data of the research is score of interest before and after applying creative problem solving model with descriptive and inferential analysis. Analysis of the increase of interest learning analyzed was used normalized gain (N-Gain) and t-test. The descriptive analysis of interest learning’s post test experiment class shows that N-Gain was 0.35 in medium category and control class was 0.2 in lower category. This proved by inferential analysis, the analyzed shows t(68) = 2.079 p = 0.041 means p < 0.05, then Ho is rejected. Which means that there are difference in interest of learning between experiment class and control class. It can therefore be concluded that the implementation of creative problem solving model can be increase the interest of learning in SMAN 1 Tambusai Utara.Key Words: Creative Problem Solving (CPS), Student Interest Learning, Dynamic Electrical

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep fisika siswa melalui implementasi model learning cycle 5E pada materi fluida statis di kelas X SMAN Plus Propinsi Riau. Manfaat yang diharapkan dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai dasar untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep fisika siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMAN Plus Propinsi Riau pada bulan Februari 2015 hingga Juni 2015 di kelas X MS 6 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X MS 1 sebagai kelas kontrol yang masing-masing berjumlah 25 siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah Non-Equevalent Control Group Design. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh informasi bahwa ketuntasan indikator-indikator pemahaman konsep fisika yaitu indikator translation, interpretation, dan extrapolation siswa di kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Selain itu gain ternormalisasi indikator translation, interpretation, dan extrapolation kelas eksperimen berada pada kategori tinggi sedangkan gain ternormalisasi indikator translation kelas kontrol berada pada kategori sedang. Indikator interpretation dan extrapolation kelas kontrol berada pada kategori rendah. Selanjutnya diperoleh tingginya peningkatan pemahaman konsep fisika siswa kelas eksperimen terhadap kelas kontrol. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi model learning cycle 5E dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep fisika siswa di kelas X SMAN Plus Propinsi Riau pada materi fluida statis.
