The study sought to improve the skills of reading comprehension of students fromIV B Class at SD Ta’mirul Islam Surakarta 2019/2020. This was conducted by using PQRST methods. Moreover, this research is in the form of Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was run for two cycles. Each cycles has four systematic stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. This study used variety of techniques including interview, observation, tests, and documentation. The validity of the data was tested using data and source triangulation techniques. Data were analyzed using an instrument originally developed by Miles-Huberman. On this research, the average value result of reading comprehension skills is 44.291 with 12,5% of passing percentage in pre-action. In the first cycle, the average acquisition of reading comprehension skills increased to 60.229 with 41,67% of passing percentage. Lastly, in cycle II, the average acquisition of reading comprehension skills increased to 81.062 with 87,5% of passing percentage.. Finding shows that the PQRST methods has been proven to be successful in improving the reading comprehension skills of grade IV B students at SD Ta'mirul Islam Surakarta for the academic year 2019/2020.

This research aim is to find student's learning methods at home, the obstacles encountered while students studying at home, and the solutions to these obstacles. This research using descriptive qualitative research methods and using a phenomenological approach. The data sources in this research are students of 4th SDN Bayan Purworejo and studet’s parents. Data collection techniques were carried by questionnaires, interviews, and documentation studies, and data validity testing using technical triangulation and source triangulation. Data are analyzed by Miles and Huberman data analysis model. The results of this research indicate that while studying at the homes, the student’ learning methods are to make schedules and implement them, read books, take notes, and do assignments. When studying at home, students encounter several obstacles, there are limited learning support tools, low discipline to learn, and difficulty in understanding the material. To overcome these obstacles, the solutions are implementing study group activities with restrictions of students in the group, parents are firm in making schedules so that student's daily activities can be controlled, and if the students can't understand the material can ask their parents/siblings/class teacher. The results of this research can also be used to increase students' insights about learning methods that can be used at home, bases of relevant research, and reference for parents to make improvements in learning facilities and learning quality so student's learning processes are better and can improve learning output.

This study aims to describe the listening skills of grade V Mangkuyudan elementary school students in the 2020/2021 academic year through learning shows on TVRI. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with a case study approach. Primary data were obtained directly from grade V students and teachers at Mangkuyudan elementary school Surakarta, while secondary data was in the form of documents of student work, teacher notes, and official documents in writing at Mangkuyudan elementary school which had a relationship with the focus of the research problem. Sources of data in this study were students of class V which consisted of 28 students as the research sample. The data collection technique was done by using questionnaires, interviews, and study documentation. The data validity test technique used source triangulation and technique triangulation. The data analysis technique used qualitative data analysis by Miles and Huberman's model, namely interactive analysis. The results of this study indicate that the students' listening skills are good, as evidenced by the class average score that has met the minimum completeness criteria. With the details that the value on numeration, namely mathematics, is lower than the value of other subject matter. The implication of this research is to increase the creativity of teachers to determine variations in methods, strategies, and effective media in online learning during the pandemic

The purpose of this research is to describe the integration of life skills in science learning theme always save energy in students in grade IV SD Negeri Pajang 4 Surakarta. The research uses descriptive qualitative method with case study approach. Students, teachers and parents of grade IV as subjects. Collection techniques with interviews, questionnaires and documentation studies. Miles and Huberman's analysis is used for data analysis. Validity of data by triangulating techniques and sources. The result of this research is that teachers integrate life skills in science learning themes always save energy on learners. Found four skills, namely personal, social, intellectual and vocational skills that run well. Then there are the obstacles of each teacher's skills and efforts to overcome obstacles by maintaining communication, instilling honesty, tolerance of delays in collecting tasks, looking at the process of student activities and others.

This study aims to enhance reading comprehension skills through implementation of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition model. The subjects of the study are 26 students of the 4th grade in Pajang II elementary school, Laweyan, Surakarta. This research is Classroom Action Research consist of two cycles. Data collection is done by interviewing, observing, reading comprehension skills test, and document analysis. The data’s validity is done by using content validity, source triangulation, and technical triangulation. The data is analyzed using an interactive analysis model of Miles-Huberman and comparative descriptive model. The result of reading comprehension skills in pretest showed an average of 46,08. Then, in the first cycle, the average increase to 64,98 and become 83,5 on the second cycle. Thus, the conclusion that can be drawn regarding reading comprehension skills in 4th grade students of Pajang II elementary school academic year of 2019/2020 can be enhanced by applying Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition model.l

This service activity aims to improve creative writing skills with character education for elementary school teachers through face-to-face and virtual training. The participatory method was used in this training to stimulate teachers to be active in practicing poetry writing both in theory and practice. Face-to-face meetings were held twice for theoretical training, while virtual meetings were held for practical training in writing poetry and presenting it. Based on the results of scoring the ability to write poetry in the posttest session, the classical ability in writing poetry was 84.90%, where at the pretest stage it was 70.79%. The results show that poetry writing training containing character education through a mixed face-to-face and virtual method (Hybrid Learning) is able to improve the ability of elementary school teachers in writing creative poetry types. The improvement in the poetry writing skills of the participants was seen in all aspects of writing poetry, including themes and meanings, the power of imagination, accuracy of diction, and the message.

Poetry can be an integrative media for character education in learning in elementary schools. However, the important role of poetry has not been matched by the results of writing poetry in elementary schools. This study aims to analyze the ability of preservice elementary teacher ability in poetry writing containing character education with local wisdom persepective. Mix method research approach is used with research design is triangulation design. The research subjects were 35 students of the elementary school teacher education program. The data were obtained through the technique of writing poetry tests and interviews. The analysis of the test used aspects of poetry writing skills. The research findings provide views that students have been able to write poetry with their own imagination, include the meaning of poetry, the advice, and are able to integrate character values with local wisdom. Mastery of the diction aspect is the lowest among other aspects that need to be improved. Recommendations of this research to educators and future research as a review for developing effective Indonesian language learning in the elementary school teacher education program, especially in productive language skills, namely creative writing with character education and local wisdom.

Lowness of poetry writing skill on four grade student of jetis 2 primary school makes researcher done a research with Think Talk Write model of study. The purpose of this research was to improve poetry writing skill on student. The type of this research was Classroom Action Research because to emphasize improvements in classroom learning. Result of this research was average score of students’ poetry writing on first test before the action done was 47. After cycle one, the score increased to 71,83, and at cycle 2 it became 77,67. The previous classical comprehensiveness of poem writing skill was 20%, then increased to 60% on first cycle, and rose again into 77,67% on second cycle.The conclusion of this research was the implementation of Think Talk Write (TTW) model can improve students’ skill on writing poetry on four grade students of Jetis 2 Primary School in academic year of 2017/2018.

Abstract. This research aims to describe the types and causes of learning difficulties for class IVB students at SDN 1 Gabusan on FPB and KPK materials during the Covid-19 pandemic based on logical mathematical intelligence. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method with a case study approach. Determination of the subject in the research using purposive sampling technique. This research uses test data collection techniques and task-based interviews. The data validity technique used in this research is time triangulation. Data analysis techniques include identifying all data, reducing data, compiling data in units, validating data to making conclusions. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the type of learning difficulty of students with high logical mathematical intelligence is difficulty in using correct mathematical procedures. The types of learning difficulties of students with moderate mathematical logical intelligence are difficulties in determining the right solution strategy and difficulties in using correct mathematical procedures. The types of learning difficulties of students with low logical mathematical intelligence are difficulties in understanding the given problem, difficulty in determining the right solution strategy, and difficulty in using correct mathematical procedures. The causes of learning difficulties for students with high logical mathematical intelligence are the limited learning time during the limited face-to-face implementation during the Covid-19 pandemic and the way teachers teach using the lecture learning method. The causes of learning difficulties for students with moderate mathematical logical intelligence are the limited learning time during the limited face-to-face implementation during the Covid-19 pandemic, the way teachers teach using the lecture learning method, and low interest in learning. The causes of learning difficulties in students with low logical mathematical intelligence are the limited learning time during the limited face-to-face implementation during the Covid-19 pandemic, the way teachers teach using the lecture learning method, low interest in learning, and an unsupportive family environment for learning. This study aims to determine learning activities of listening to explanation text in grade V students of SD Negeri Wonosri and obstacles in learning activities of listening to explanation text in grade V students of SD Negeri Wonosri. This research was conducted using qualitative methods. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Research subject was collected using purposive sampling techniques combine with time sampling techniques. The data validity is done through triangulation techniques, namely the triangulation of sources and times. The data analysis used is interactive analysis model. The research showed that learning activities of listening to explanation text in grade V SD Negeri Wonosri applied the lecture method. Students are still less skilled in listening to explanatory texts seen from the attention, sincerity, liveliness, and enthusiasm. The teacher has provided a variety of explanation texts and have mastered of several pedagogic skills.Obstacles in learning activities of listening to explanation text in grade V SD Negeri Wonosri including the teacher-centered learning so that boredom is seen in students. The lack of media or learning variations makes students bored and less enthusiastic. Next, the class condition is not comfortable and the ability to listen to students is still low.
