Abstract

Usaha dalam melakukan Pengurangan terhadap resiko bencana belum dilakukan secara optimal. Rendahnya perhatian terhadap pengurangan resiko bencana, pengetahuan, inovasi, pendidikan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap budaya keselamatan dan ketahanan pada semua lapisan. Dalam hal ini sosialisasi pengurangan resiko bencana di Kecamatan Tempursari salah satu upaya untuk memberikan pendidikan langsung secara informal kepada masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan informasi tentang pemahaman dan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pengurangan resiko bencana. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif, Kader Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Desa dan Tenaga Kesejahteraan Sosial Kecamatan sebagai bagian masyarakat dijadikan sebagai sumber data. Penggalian data dilakukan dengan wawancara, diskusi dan kuestioner. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan perhitungan persentase dan dimaknai secara kualitatif dengan melakukan reduksi dan kategori data, sehingga dapat dipahami secara komprehensif. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa 1) Pemahaman masyarakat tentang kebencanaan relatif cukup baik dinilai dari aspek sensitivitas dalam merespon bencana, cara merefleksi bencana, kesadaran untuk mengurangi bencana dan tindakan menghindari yang dilakukan saat terjadi bencana. 2) Pemahaman tentang pendidikan mitigasi bencana relatif sudah ada. 3) Pendekatan pengetahuan kebencanaan merupakan modal penting bagi pendidikan mitigasi bencana relatif sudah dimiliki oleh masyarakat. 4) Pelaksanaan sosialisasi pengurangan resiko bencana dinilai baik sebagai upaya pendidikan mitigasi bencana.

Abstract

Geothermal energy is a source of heat that occurs naturally in the subsurface. One of the geothermal potential in East Java is in the Blawan that known as geothermal Blawan - Ijen. To find a geothermal potential of an area we have to do some research on subsurface conditions. Research using geoelectric resistivity method has been performed to estimate the distribution of hot springs. The study, conducted in May 2013 showed that there are 21 hot springs manifestations in Blawan - Ijen. Each of these hot springs have a temperature less than 50 °C. Data of geoelectric resistivity divided into 3 parts, resistivity values less than 40 ohm.meter indicated by the color blue , the color green for the resistivity value between 40-1280 ohm.meter and the color orange for values more than 1280 ohm.meter. Geothermal distribution that contained in Blawan is diffused follow existing fracture. Direction of hot springs are heading to the Northeast that following the river flow. The heat carrier layer is permeable layer that have resistivity values less than 40 ohm.meter.

Abstract

alah satu upaya dalam penghematan air adalah dengan menggunakan air sehemat mungkin. Upaya tersebut dapat di lakukan dengan memanfaatkan sistem keran air otomatis. Keran akan menutup secara otomatis saat tidak diperlukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuat keran dengan sistem otomatis yang dapat menyala/mati sesuai dengan ada/tidaknya objek. Keran otomatis ini dibuat dengan menggunakan modul sensor infared (IR) untuk mendeteksi objek berupa tangan manusia. Pemrosesan data dilakukan menggunakan mikrokontroler Atmega328P. Motor servo MG996R digunakan untuk memutar katup pada ball valve yang terdapat di dalam pipa Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) berdiameter ½ inci sehingga aliran air dapat dibuat on/off. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa keran otomatis ini dapat bekerja dengan baik dengan rentang penginderaan sensor 0 cm s.d 10 cm. Daya yang digunakan adalah 0.73072 W (pada saat stand-by) dan 0.712776 W (pada saat keran berputar). Tekanan minimum yang dibutuhkan adalah 0 Pa (Air tetap dapat mengalir walaupun tanpa adanya tekanan).

Abstract

Washing hands is something that is always urged to be done lately. This pandemic makes washing hands a habit that must be accomplished before and after doing activities. Automatic hand washing is one way to reduce the spread of the virus because it can be used without having to touch the device directly. The development of automatic tools for washing hands is the crucial need for an alternative power source that is fuel-efficient and uncomplicated in terms of maintenance. The eco-friendly electrical source is needed to be implemented to reduce the electricity bills such as using the solar panel as the alternative power source. As an effort to support handwashing activities, the procurement of solar panels as a source of electrical energy is expected to be able to provide simple solutions to prevent the spread of Covid -19 and to make the environment clean and energy-efficient.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic requires elementary and junior high school students to do online learning activities at home. In practice, children interact more often with their gadget during online school hours and outside these hours. Its a concern for most Graha Nusa Batam community residents because the children there are already starting to have symptoms of gadget addiction. Against this background, Batam State Polytechnic (Polibatam) held a robotics technology workshop program for children aged 8-15 years. This activity aims to increase children's understanding of robotics technology, which includes electronics and mechanics. In addition, this activity provides several benefits, namely: being an attractive alternative for children to reduce playing with their gadgets; provide children's experiences in problem solving, creativity and collaboration; and include field experience for Polibatam students by applying the knowledge gained through Project Based Learning (PBL) for the benefit of the community.This workshop held four meetings (March to April 2021) at the At-Taqwa Al-Qur'an Education Park (TPA) building, Graha Nusa Batam housing. The robot used is an analog line follower. Pre-test and post-test were conducted to measure the increase in participants' understanding of the material. This test shows that participants' knowledge of robotics technology can increase up to 25% for participants aged 8-11 years and 22% for 12-15 years.

Abstract

Kebutuhan energi listrik semakin meningkat seiring dengan pertambahan penduduk dan laju pertumbuhan ekonomi. Kebutuhan akan penggunaan energi terbarukan yang ramah lingkungan, aman dari polusi dan persediaannya tidak terbatas seperti pembangkit listrik tenaga surya (PLTS) perlu ditingkatkan. Kementrian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral menyampaikan bahwa Indonesia memiliki potensi energi surya yang sangat besar yakni sekitar 4.8 KWh/m2 yang kemanfaatannya belum optimal. Sebagai upaya untuk turut serta mendukung penggunaan sumber energi terbarukan, maka rancang bangun pembangkit listrik tenaga surya perlu dilakukan khususnya untuk penggunaan listrik rumah tangga. Rancang bangun PLTS ini terdiri dari panel surya yang terhubung pada solar charge controller (SCC), inverter dan baterai. Pengujian sistem dilakukan dengan menggunakan beban berupa lampu dan kipas angin. Hasil pengukuran data dari nilai rata–rata tegangan terbuka (Voc) adalah sebesar 20,40 V dengan arus hubung singkat (Isc) sebesar 6,54 A dan intensitas sinar matahari sebesar 323.09 W/m2. Hasil yang diperoleh dari rancang bangun PLTS ini mampu menahan beban 570 Wh selama 11 jam.

Abstract

A measurement system is a process that consists of standards, employees, and methods for measuring particular quality characteristics. Measurement System Analysis (MSA) attempts to evaluate a measuring system's precision, accuracy, and consistency so that clients receive high-quality goods. The previous study implements the MSA for machinery and industrial lines, electronics manufacturing, agricultural and poultry, aviation, and even employee monitoring and inspection. Elsewhere, waste management has problems, especially with capacity measurement instruments and weight sensors. This study aims to: (i) build an IoT-based waste management system; and (ii) evaluate the developed system by implementing the MSA technique, focusing on measurement equipment. The Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GRR) Study Type 1, the (GRR) Study, and the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) are conducted to evaluate the measurement instrument of the waste management system. The study findings that the total variance of the GRR is 20.95 %, and the distinct categories are 6. Thus, as the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) GRR recommendation, the measuring system is marginal (acceptable in certain conditions). Moreover, the ANOVA result indicates that interaction and operators did not affect measurement outcomes because the blue dots remain inside the acceptable range.

Abstract

A visitor monitoring and counting device is a tool designed to send information in the form of images and the number of visitors detected through a camera and sensors installed on the device. This device is based on the Telegram application using the ESP32-CAM module as the camera to capture images of each incoming visitor. The device is equipped with an infrared sensor used to detect incoming visitors. The device works by counting the number of visitors when they enter, and then sending a signal to the ESP32-CAM to capture a physical image as evidence. The data from the device's operation is sent through the Telegram application. The research results show that the device functions well at a distance of 60 cm, but it does not function properly at a distance of 90 cm. The average time required for the device to send an image to the application is 2.5 seconds. The fastest time required by the system to read data between one visitor and the next is 15,4 seconds.

Abstract

Conducting robotics training as a community service to improve basic knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) for students is one of the ways to improve their basic knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) for students is one of the most important aspects of the facing the industrial era 4.0 and society 5.0. Through the Service-Learning approach, this community service by collaborating with Granada International in Batam by involving 29 students, consisting of 7 students from class X, 15 students from class XI, and the rest from class XII, class XI students, and the rest from class XII. The results of mentoring through robotics training were able to increase the average STEM skills of students by 38.15%. In addition, the activity was successfully implemented with participant satisfaction levels above 50% for the subject matter, instructor, and training equipment. Only 17% of the trainees stated that the training time was insufficient, especially for practicum.
