Abstract

At the beginning of 2020, the world was shaken by the spread of new viruses, the new type of coronavirus (SARS-Cov-2), and the disease was called the Corona Virus Disease-2019 (COVID-19). As of 20 May 2020, In Indonesia were reported 19,189 cases with 1,242 deaths (CFR 6.47%) including nurses (55 health workers are death). There was a shocking lack of preparedness at hospitals in handling this, which puts nurses at particular risk. Nurses claimed to have difficulty getting PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). In addition, the cases of nurses who were stigmatized in their environment due to exposure to the COVID-19 were very widespread, even in the funeral process they were still rejected. Many things can be done to increase the ability of Indonesian nurses in their devotion when handling COVID-19. It can be from the nurses themselves, professional organization support, government support, and community support. The appreciation can also help them struggle to fight against COVID-19. In the future, when this pandemic is over, we need to appreciate what nurses have done for the world. Keywords: Nurses, against, covid-19

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia resulting from a lack of insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of autogenic relaxation on the reduction of blood sugar levels in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients. The research design used was Quasi Experimental with the Pretest-Posttest approach method. This research was conducted in one of the work areas of the health center in the city of Bukittinggi in June-July 2108. The population of this study was all patients with type 2 DM totaling 150 people while the samples taken were 15 people with a purposive sampling technique. The analysis used is univariate and bivariate analysis using the dependent t-test. The results of this study found that the average blood sugar level before the autogenic relaxation intervention was 214.4 gr/dl, the average blood sugar level after autogenic relaxation was 205 gr/dl with a p value = 0,000 meaning that there was an effect of autogenic relaxation on decreasing levels blood sugar in type 2 DM patients. The recommendation of this study is to continue this study with a large sample and with long and periodic interventions. Keywords: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Blood Sugar Level, Autogenic Relaxation

Abstract

Background: One of the government's efforts to reduce learning loss (low learning motivation) in students due to the Covid-19 pandemic is to conduct limited face-to-face learning (PTMT), with the condition that all school equipment has been vaccinated. Especially when the spread of the Covid-19 virus is increasingly massive and easy to attack children. Children's rights must still be given, but still prioritize the health and safety of children. Therefore, the provision of vaccines is not only applied to teaching staff, but must also be given to students, especially school-age children. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of vaccination on student motivation in one of the SD Negeri Bukittinggi. Methods: This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a one group pre-test-post-test only approach. This study was conducted on 53 elementary school students who participated in vaccination using a questionnaire adapted from Natun (2019). Results: The results showed that there was a significant effect of vaccination on the learning motivation of elementary school students (p.value 0.006). Conclusion: It is hoped that teachers and parents can jointly motivate children to take vaccinations. And through this research, it is expected to add concrete data in the morning for health workers and related communities that vaccination does not reduce the learning motivation of school-age students.
