Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of campus culture on students' decisions to study at STAI Auliaurrasyidin Tembilahan. This study used a quantitative design by random sampling based on the proportions of Isaac and Michael with a significant level of 5% totaling 238 from a population of 748. Questionnaires were used to collect the data in this research and analyzed using simple regression analysis. The results showed that there was a significant cultural influence on student selection decisions. The results also showed that students’ organizations did not attract students' interest in making choices. Therefore, the campus should make culture a tool to make excellence and characteristics that can be used as promotional material to increase the number of students

Abstract

This study discussed the Technical Supervision for Writing Scientific Papers held at the Islamic University of Indragiri (UNISI) Tembilahan. This activity was important because it can educate, train, and supervise students to write based on scientific writing procedures. The purpose of this activity was to provide practical supervision for students, they can apply these supervision techniques when writing papers, research proposals, research reports, writing resumes, and book reviews, especially writing a final project that must be accomplished before graduation. This activity was very welcomed enthusiastically by students because they became more aware of the definition of scientific writing, its objectives, its benefits, its characteristics, and knowing techniques and steps about scientific writing.

Abstract

Non-Formal Education is an alternative solution. In this study, a school data management information system was built consisting of five levels of users, namely the main administrator, school administrator, teachers, students, and community. The data were in the form of school data, facilities, managers, teachers, students, and general information. In addition, there was a Learning Program Unit (SAP) which informed the materials that must be delivered in the learning process. This information system was equipped with a learning application for the National Examination for students, consisting of subject material and practice of multiple-choice questions for economics, sociology, Indonesian, English, Geography, and Mathematics. The data constructed from the Education Office of Muaro Jambi Regency and the organizers of the package C program. While the learning application materials came from certain high school textbooks.

Abstract

Time series analysis is used to model time series data and forecast data for future periods. This research was conducted to predict data with a simple smoothing technique, namely the Simple Moving Average of PT Bank BRI Syariah Tbk's stock closing price data. The closing price of shares was analyzed using three average criteria, namely 3, 5, 20, and 100 of the most recent data. Comparison of accuracy with SSE, MSE, and MAPE showed that the best in predicting daily stock closing price data was the Simple Moving Average using the latest 3 data with a prediction result for the future period of Rp. 748, -.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to discover the challenges that teachers suffered from when teaching English to young learners in Tembilahan Elementary Schools during the School Based Curriculum in 2018. The quantitative descriptive design was used for this study. Researchers employed questionnaires and interviews as research tools to collect study results, the questionnaire functioning as the primary instrument. Questionnaires and interviews were distributed to ten teachers from nine different primary schools. The findings of the Likert questionnaire data analysis and interviews showed that the most difficult challenges for teachers in teaching English to young learners was learners’ motivation. They all believe that raising motivation was tough, and that was one of the difficulties in teaching English to young learners. The findings of the highest score in the data was the thirteenth statement (motivation), where the total score was 40, and it was a teaches’ challenges in teaching English to young learners in primary schools in Tembilahan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether e-learning of Google Classroom can improve the basic English translation skills of PAI’s students STAI Auliaurrasyidin Tembilahan, as well as to determine their perception of use. The ability to translate is one of the important skills that must be mastered by students in the current era of globalization. However, many students face difficulties in understanding and transferring the meaning from English to Indonesian correctly. The CAR design (Classroom Action Research) was chosen for the design of this research. This study consisted of two cycles, each cycle involving planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. This research located at STAI Auliaurrasyidin Tembilahan, Indragiri Hilir Riau, 19 Participants of the third semester class III/B Department of Islamic Education (PAI) STAI Auliaurrasyidin Tembilahan during the Odd Academic Year 2021/2022. The Data were collected using test, observation, fieldnote, and questionnaire. A questionnaire was used to answer students' perception on google classroom and was adapted from the TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) model introduced by Davis in 1986. The data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that there were students’ improvements in basic English Translation. The pre-cycle "accurate" category obtained an average of 1.7 and continued to increase in the second cycle with an average of 2.8 and continued to increase to 2.9 at the end of the cycle. The average of the four TAM indicators scored at 89%, which falls between 81% and 100%, indicates that students also have a positive opinion of Google Classroom.
