Abstract

Desa Pedindang merupakan satu dari sebelas desa yang mengelilingi kawasan TAHURA Gunung Mangkol. Sejak dulu, masyarakat di kedua desa ini memenuhi kebutuhan hidup sehari-hari dengan memanfaatkan sumber daya alam di sekitar TAHURA Gunung Mangkol. Salah satu sumber daya alam yang ada di TAHURA tersebut adalah satwa liar yang biasa dimanfaatkan sebagai obat tradisional. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui satwa liar apa saja yang dimanfaatkan sebagai obat tradisional oleh masyarakat Desa Pedindang, dan untuk mengetahui apa saja bagian yang dimanfaatkan, jenis pemanfaatan, dan cara pengolahan dari satwa liar tersebut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada 1 November 2021 sampai dengan 31 Desember 2021. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data memanfaatkan survei dan pemilihan responden dengan menggunakan teknik snowball sampling. Responden terpilih kemudian diwawancarai sesuai dengan kuesioner. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, sembilan spesies satwa liar dimanfaatkan sebagai obat tradisional oleh masyarakat Desa Pedindang. Bagian satwa liar yang dimanfaatkan adalah daging, kepala, otak, dan empedu. Jenis pemanfaatan satwa liar adalah sebagai obat asma, obat sakit kulit, obat luka bekas operasi, obat kebotakan, dan penambah stamina pria. Cara pengolahan satwa liar yang dimanfaatkan adalah dimasak, dibakar untuk diambil minyaknya, dicampur dengan bahan lain, dan tanpa diolah.

Abstract

Bangka is one of the main islands in Bangka Belitung Islands Province whose people still believe in local culture that has been passed down for generations. Community of Air Mesu Timur and Cambai Selatan Villages, Bangka Tengah District still believe it. Air Mesu Timur and Cambai Selatan Villages are two of several villages that surround Gunung Mangkol Great Forest Park. This study aimed to find out the usage of wild animals as traditional medicine by the community of Air Mesu Timur and Cambai Selatan Villages, which wild animals they used, and how they processed it. The method used was snowball sampling which consists of a preliminary survey and informant gathering, and the interview to gather the information and data collection. Ten species of wild animals were used by the community as traditional medicine. The wild animals were obtained from hunting in Gunung Mangkol Great Forest Park. Currently, people who use wild animals as traditional medicine have decreased due to the existence of modern medicine and the decline of the wild animal population. However, in small groups, people still use wild animals as traditional medicine.

Abstract

Terak and Teru Villages are two of the eleven villages surrounding Gunung Mangkol Grand Forest. Since a long time ago, the people in these villages have fulfilled their daily needs by utilizing the natural resources around Gunung Mangkol Grand Forest. One of the natural resources in the grand forest is wild animals commonly used as traditional medicine. This research was undertaken to find out what wild animals are used as traditional medicine by the people of Terak and Teru Villages; and to find out what parts are used, types of utilization, and processing methods of the wild animals. The research was conducted from November 1, 2021 to November 29, 2021. The research methods used were collecting data by surveys and selecting respondents using the snowball sampling technique. Selected respondents were then interviewed according to the questionnaire. Based on the research results, nine species of wild animals were used as traditional medicine by the people of Terak and Teru Villages. The parts of wild animals used were bile, liver, meat, and whole bodies. The types of use of wild animals were male stamina enhancer, asthma medicine, skin pain medicine, surgical wound medicine, malaria medicine, typhus medicine, cough medicine, toothache medicine, burn treatment, and headache medicine. The methods of processing wild animals were unprocessed, dried in the sun for the oil, roasted / burnt, and fried.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini dilaksanakan karena sering terjadinya konflik antara manusia dan buaya muara di Kelurahan Semabung Lama dan Pasir Putih, Kecamatan Bukit Intan, Kota Pangkalpinang, Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung. Kegiatan PkM dilaksanakan dengan dua metode sekaligus, yaitu: (1) Wawancara tidak terstruktur dan (2) Sosialisasi. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat di kedua kelurahan memiliki pengetahuan yang minim serta sikap dan persepsi yang negatif terhadap buaya muara. Maka dari itu, sosialisasi mitigasi konflik manusia-buaya muara langsung dilaksanakan setelah pelaksanaan wawancara. Selain itu, hasil wawancara tersebut juga menemukan fakta bahwa masyarakat di kedua kelurahan: (1) sering memberi makan buaya muara dengan bangkai di DAS kedua kelurahan dan (2) mengharapkan adanya solusi dalam mengantisipasi korban jiwa akibat konflik antara manusia dan buaya muara. Tindak lanjut atas fakta 1 dan 2 dari hasil wawancara, akan direalisasikan pada kegiatan PkM selanjutnya. Pada akhirnya, kegiatan PkM ini memberikan dampak dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan serta memperbaiki sikap dan persepsi masyarakat di kedua kelurahan terhadap buaya muara.

Abstract

This Community Service (CS) project was conducted due to the high intensity of saltwater crocodile attacks on the people of Kayu Besi and Bukit Layang Villages, Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. This project used three methods in stages, i.e.: (1) Unstructured Interview, (2) Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and (3) Socialization. The interview results showed that the people in both villages had lack of knowledge and negative attitude and perception toward saltwater crocodile. The FGD results showed that the people in both villages: (1) asked for socialization on mitigation conflict between human-saltwater crocodile, (2) frequently disposed carcasses in the watersheds in both villages, and (3) asked for solutions to anticipate casualties due to the human-saltwater crocodile conflict. The socialization on the mitigation of human-saltwater crocodile conflict was held immediately after the FGD. The unfinished follow-up of the FGD results will be held in the next project. In the end, this CS project offered impacts on increasing knowledge and improving attitude and perception of the people towards saltwater crocodile in both villages.

Abstract

An approach to get around difficulties in discovering reasonable feed materials is to use ex-mining land and palm oil waste in fish farming. This affects the minimal outcomes and profits realized from the business operations. In order to improve the quality of fish farming products, this community service aims to improve the community's knowledge and expertise regarding the use of waste palm oil as fish food. Training sessions using the lecture method, practice sessions, and mentoring are used to provide this program. After this program, the partners' understanding of processing palm oil waste as a source of fish farming feed improved, which enabled them to increase profits from their business.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilakukan akibat adanya sejarah konflik antara manusia dan Monyet Ekor Panjang (MEP) di Desa Air Duren, Kemuja, dan Jada Bahrin, Kabupaten Bangka, Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung. Kegiatan PKM dilakukan dengan dua metode sekaligus, yakni: (1) Wawancara tidak terstruktur dan (2) Sosialisasi. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat di ketiga desa mempunyai pengetahuan yang sedikit serta persepsi dan sikap yang buruk terhadap MEP. Oleh karena itu, sosialisasi mitigasi konflik manusia-MEP dilakukan segera setelah wawancara. Selain itu, wawancara tersebut juga menemukan fakta bahwa masyarakat di ketiga desa mengharapkan adanya solusi dalam mengantisipasi konflik manusia-MEP. Tindak lanjut dari fakta wawancara akan dilakukan pada kegiatan PKM selanjutnya. Pada akhirnya, kegiatan PKM ini menambah pengetahuan serta meningkatkan persepsi dan sikap masyarakat di ketiga desa terhadap MEP.

Abstract

Negative interactions between humans and wildlife, as well as a decrease in the quality of wildlife habitat, can result in conflicts between humans and wildlife. Under certain conditions, this conflict can be detrimental to all parties involved. This Community Service (CS) project aimed to increase people’s knowledge and improve their attitude and perception towards the long-tailed macaque in Balun Ijuk Village. The project utilized three methods in stages: (1) Unstructured Interview, (2) Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and (3) Socialization. Ultimately, this CS project had a positive impact by increasing knowledge and improving the attitude and perception of the people towards the long-tailed macaque in Balun Ijuk Village.

Abstract

The aim of this community service is to enhance the marketing quality of shrimp floss through repackaging and the utilization of e-commerce. This program employs a persuasive approach with partners involved in shredded meat production, assisting in the transformation of shrimp into shrimp floss. The outcomes of this initiative include new packaging designs and the digitalization of shrimp floss marketing through e-commerce, along with the dissemination of links on social media. The 2023 Rambat Village KKN MAs activities are expected to bolster the implementation of digital villages by integrating technology to support the economy in Rambat Village.

Abstract

The aim of the Community Service (PkM) is to develop packaging quality and marketing strategies for Ran-Aini Arabica Coffee products. This PkM was carried out using two methods in stages, namely: unstructured interviews and mentoring. The results of the interviews show that Ran-Aini Arabica Coffee products are not developing well due to two obstacles, namely unattractive product packaging and limited product marketing. This is the basis for the PkM Team to immediately carry out assistance. The assistance provided by the PkM Team is in the form of assistance in making product packaging and assistance in marketing products via digital platforms. In the end, through this PkM, Ran-Aini Arabica Coffee products have attractive packaging, and sales accounts on WhatsApp and Instagram digital platforms are more effective marketing media.
